• The Movie's producers worked with twitter
to promote their trailer.
• They also delivered 'creepy' responses to
those who tweeted with the
hashtag #BeforeIWake – using images and
gifs from the film.
• Most of the marketing campaign was cut as
the company were in debt.
• The film was released online in the UK in
April 2017.
3. TEASER TRAILER
The teaser trailer for Before I Wake fits the genre
conventions of a psychological thriller due to the slow
pacing at the start of the trailer, which gradually picks up
which show's the more suspenseful pacing than films in
other genres. It also features themes of dreams and
nightmares which are conventional of the genre, such as
the dream sequence in films. An example of this is the
one in Lost Highway, however to make this film unique
the dream sequences are intertwined with the real world.
The music used in this trailer is also slow paced which is
ominous in the same way as Lost Highway.

4. POSTER ANALYSIS
• The Colour scheme in this poster is red and black this
shows danger, and fear.
• There is a silhouette of a butterfly which would normally
be seen as beautiful and fragile but here it looks
dangerous and dark.
• The face on the poster looks directly at the audience,
engaging them. It could make the audience feel
threatened, because of the colours and suspense in the
persons eyes in the poster.
