2. ARE THERE IDENTS IN TEASERS?
Idents are used in many teaser trailers; some examples being the
logo for Lionsgate at the beginning of the trailer for the Blair
Witch (2016) named “The Woods”, and the logos for Relativity
Studios and Intrepid Pictures appearing at the beginning of the
teaser trailer for Before I Wake.
The Lionsgate ident at the beginning of the Blair Witch trailer
fades in on an animated cloud background from a black screen
then is clearly visible for one second before another fade
transition is used.
The idents from the Before I Wake trailer appear for one second
on a red background before a straight cut is used; the idents for
Relativity Studios and Intrepid Pictures growing larger as a Ken
Burns zoom effect has been used.

PRODUCTION
Some of the companies that we could consider using as
inspiration for our company ident is:
Lionsgate – A distribution company that has distributed an
array of horror/thriller films including Blair Witch, Saw and
American Psycho.
Universal – A production company that has produced many
horror/thriller films such as Jaws and Frankenstein.
Relativity Studios – Its full-scale film studio acquires,
develops, produces and distributes films such as Before I wake
and Ghost Rider.
