Working Title:
Lights off (short scare film)
Audience:
My audience is based around the people who enjoy to watch a short scare/horror film.
My target audience is more based around the teenage audience range from around 17-
20, this means that I will be able to make my short film to be relit ably scary towards
them as this is the age range of which you would normally expect them to enjoy to
watch scary things. I feel that I won’t be aiming my short film at a specific audience, I
would prefer it if I could make it so it will aim to both the male and female audience.
However, despite this I still feel that my short film may more appeal to the male
audience, if this is the case I haven’t purposely made it this way it will simply be to the
audience’s opinion.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
So far throughout this year I have learnt many different new skills and techniques
throughout the year, the majority of these skills have been learnt via.
Photoshop/premier, the majority of these skills have been more aimed towards editing
skills, these are very important skills which will help me in the future with my
Photoshop// editing work.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The main idea for my production brief is to make a short film and it could be in any
form of which I want to make and I have made the decision the create a scary/horror
short film, as I feel that I will be able to make something that is strong and effective,
hopefully being able to make a good short film. I am particularly looking forward to
that part where I add in the sound effects as we have to make the video without sound
effects and add them in later on, I am looking forward to this as I will be able to add in
unique sound effects, by maybe even adding them in myself.
Production Techniques (approx. 150 words)
There is few techniques that I need to consider and that is the idea of the different
camera angles of which I need to consider when I am filming for my short film, I also
need to take into consideration the fact of making sure that people don’t make sound
when I am filming, but then again I will also be able to mute the sound on the camera
when I am filming, or even that when I am editing on the computer I can mute the
sound and add in my sound effects.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
When it comes to evaluating my final production work, I will take into consideration
my own opinion of my final work, to do this I will watch it and give my opinion, I will
also be comparing it to already existing short films so I can see how mine compares
towards to already existing ones. Finally I will be asking for other people’s opinions on
my final work, along with asking for their opinions on improvements of which I could
make in the future if I have time to.
