Camera – The camera work used is effective, the shots are of the main singer but also shows
the sheets clear in the background. The shots used fit the genre as they are steady shots
focusing on individuals one at a time keeping the video calm with the music.
Editing – The editing in the video is simple but very effective, Dissolves are used to slowly cut
from one shot to another keeping the feel of the video calm which is parallel to the peaceful
music.
Mise-en-scene – The setting used is just a dark room, it is used well as they have placed sheets
around the room with fans blowing on them, the sheets are the same colour as the main
singers long clothes, there is also dancers wearing black clothing to fit in with the background
which keeps the main focus on the singer.

3. Target Audience – Female, Age 15-23, Class D-C
- Calm music and video would attract mainly a female audience
- Female singer is not used provocatively meaning less likely to attract a male audience
- Plain colours and calm music more suited for a lower/working class audience

making their own.

- It is clear they have planned out what they wanted to do for their video as the setting and props used
are simple but hard to accomplish when using them they way they have.

Camera – The shots used focus on the main singer. The shots fit the genre as they are steady
shots which slows down the video keeping it calm with the music.
Editing – The editing in the video is very simple and showing they have not challenged
themselves, they just use cuts to transition from shot to shot, even though it is simple, it does work
well with the video and the genre.
Mise-en-scene – The setting used is just a dark room with a red light used to show the main
singer, it creates a dark atmosphere which suits the song which is meant to be emotional. They
also cut to the main singer with a woman in another room only lit with red light. As the red lighting
is used in both settings, it makes it clear that the singer has lost her and now alone during the
shots in the dark room.
