I learnt the following:
- there is one man often trying to seek revenge, so his way of getting revenge is to kill people
- This is often set in isolated areas, where there is little help
- weak and vulnerable females often die first, reinforcing the negative stereotype females have
- realistic blood and dirty costumes are used to make the film more gory and scary

- fake blood and gore is used a lot to make the film more disgusting
