This document summarizes the use of various editing tools in Final Cut Pro X and Photoshop. It describes how the trim tool, color correction tool, zoom tool, and import tool in Final Cut Pro X allow editing of video clips. The adjustment tool in Photoshop allows editing pictures by adjusting brightness, contrast, and levels. The layer tool in Photoshop controls the order of images and allows placing images on top of each other.
2. TRIM TOOL – FINAL CUT PRO X
The trim tool allowed us to edit clips, and
alter the size of them, the is a useful tool
because it allowed us to edit and cut parts
of the clips that we no longer needed, or
that we unnecessary.
3. COLOUR CORRECTION – FINAL CUT PRO X
The colour correct tool allowed us to edit the
colour of our image. This was particularly useful
when it came to editing our performance as it
allowed to make the performance brighter which
adds to the fun image we wanted to create of our
artist.
4. ZOOM TOOL – FINAL CUT PRO X
The zoom tool allowed us to zoom into individual
clips, this was a useful tool to use because it
allowed us to zoom into individual clips and edit
them. By zooming into clips we where able to really
pick them apart.
5. IMPORT TOOL – FINAL CUT PRO X
The import tool allowed us to import clips. Once we
had imported clips we could then edit them. When
importing the clips we had to select our SD card and
select the clips that we wanted to import.
6. ADJUSTMENT TOOL - PHOTOSHOP
The adjustment icon on Photoshop,
allowed us to edit the picture. Once we
selected the icon it gave us a lot of
different options, for editing our photo,
such as Brightness/Contrast, and Levels.
7. LAYER TOOL - PHOTOSHOP
The layer tool allowed us to edit what order
the images came in and allowed us to put
other images onto the top of other images,
this was useful for creating a visual hierarchy.
