product represent social groups?

2. R&B social groupsAre represented like:
Men are portrayed in R&B magazines as straight faced, “hard”, with lots
of jewellery and chains on, watches, tattoos, jeans and usually topless
with short hair. They all have relaxed poses with crossed arms or some
kind of hand actions possibly gang like. They sometimes wear hats, and
pull a very serious face giving eye contact to their audience and are
expected to do things that cause trouble that are against the law for
example smoking or doing drugs or alcohol or they are assumed to be
partying hard a lot getting everything they want but having been
through a tough childhood.
Women in R&B usually show a lot of attitude. They usually have a
bright colour going on with either their hair or lipstick. Their hair is
always styled in a dramatic eye catching way but not messy. Makeup is
bold and defined and especially with their contour face shaping and
punctual eyes very prestige looking. They aim to attract the attention
of mens eyes by being objects of desire. They either wear high heels
or trainers but you cant see that in these covers because
conventionally you don’t have a full length image as the cover. Nikki
minaj is portraying how R&B females have so much attitude for loving
themselves and wanting attention and to be treated right that they
want to be like a princess/ queen and they are usually very royal and
Nikki has gone as far as to actually wear a crown and massive ring.

3. In my magazine I have presented a young, ambitious R&B Hip-Hop superstar.
She is presented to the world as:
a queen, an independent young woman and a hipster, full of attitude prestige
respected role-model.
These are shown by the subheading ‘queen’ bit creating high expectations.
The gold jewellery giving the balling expensive respected street look for
younger people. the fur coat, bright standing out lipstick, long hair and
Michael Jordan hat backwards which represents the hip-hop look I think
which I wanted to achieve because the serious look and eye contact as well
with the arm across her chest showing the expensive watch is how she is
acting as a person representing the queen of the genre.
On my contents page there are two photos. The two girls in the photos I took
are conventional for this genre showing of their assets, with defined makeup,
natural hair colour with tight clothes on and jewellery and a hat.
You can see these girls feel they should be appreciated and that they have
attitude and a firey personality.

4. Language
Words or more importantly the language used in my magazine suit
the R&B genre like: Bow down, newley-crowned, prestige, queen,
commands and saviour by using gangster slang but correct language
that grabs the attention of the aimed audience readers (R&B fans).

Language tends to be clear, short, simple, to the point but powerful
and have an impact and inspiration.
