SUBJECT: Case No. 834F – 165 Claywell
Request of Doreen S. Patino, owner, for the significance review of the existing main
structure and compatibility review of the proposed design located at 165 Claywell in order
to demolish 100% of the existing residence and accessory structures in order to construct
a new single-family residence with detached accessory structures.

The property is zoned SF-A and is located on the north side of Claywell between Broadway and
Vanderhoeven. New single family home, garage and pool.

The case was reviewed at the February 22nd
special meeting of the Architectural Review Board
(ARB). ARB found no significance to the existing structure and recommended approval of the
demolition and proposed designs for the new construction with the suggestion that the front dormer
be revised.
FISCAL IMPACT
No projected fiscal impact from this project has been calculated.

Dear Ms. Shealey, We live at 148 Brightwood Place behind the home that’s under consideration for demolition on
Claywell, number 165, I believe. We accidentally recycled the feedback form your office sent to our home. Our main
concern is that the alley not be obstructed during demolition and construction. We park in our carport in the alley, and
we use the alley to drive both east toward Vanderhoven and west toward Broadway on a regular basis. Also, our street,
Brightwood, is going to be torn up for six months or so to put in a new SAWS waterline. Being able to get in and out of
our alley without complication will be even more important. Please let me know if this email suffices, or do I need to fill
