2. Front Cover Process
To make the mock up of the front cover I
used a few different tools to make it look
more professional. I started by getting
the main background of Google, and I
used the sharpen tool on areas that I
wanted to try make stand out more and
the blur tool to blur an area that stood
out too much. It then use the burn tool
and the dodge tool to brighten and
darken an area to make it fit in better. I
used a logo maker on my phone to
create the Logo for ‘BL Photography’. I
also used Google to get images of
cameras and images for the locations at
the bottom. Finally, I used the text and
paint tool to change the color of the text
so that they fit In well with the
background image.
3. Reflection
• What elements of your experiments will you
include in your final product?
– With my real cover I will want to use the same
logo/ magazine name as I feel that it looks
professional.
– I will also like the use of keeping it minimalistic as
this kept it looking tidy and real.
– I will use more buzz words and colours to make it
sound out to the audience.
4. Double Page Process
To make the mock up double
page spread I used the software
InDesign as it is quick and easy
to use for the double pages. To
make the image if the couple I
used the base image from
Google and then used the paint
brush tool too draw the spiral
over the top of them. Finally I
used the eraser tool to get rid of
any excess drawings. I also used
the blend tool to blend the two
colors together to that it flows.
Finally I put the images onto
InDesign and added text to
simulate how the page looks.

– I will also like the use of keeping it minimalistic as
this kept it looking tidy and real.
– I will also use images like the ones I have done
already as that shows the kind of editing pics that
I will use.
– Finally I will use similar bright colours to help
target to the audience.
