– You got to see how your final project would look
like
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Writing down what each picture meant was very
tiring for me.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yes I did because you got to see what your

Brainstorm – Radio advert

he flashes back to when he was a kid singing his song and drinking Coke.
Characters – Old man and kid

Song – Forever young by Rod Stewart
Sound effects – bird song, bottle cap pop, fizzing of drink busy street, kids playing
Brainstorm – Radio advert song and
sound effects

Sound effects:

Flashback sound effect
bird song
kids playing
Street sound effect
Brainstorm – Strengths and weakness's
• Strengths of using this method
You got to organise and put down all of your ideas that wanted
for your radio advert.
• Weaknesses of using this method
There were no weaknesses with this method.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes because you got to organise and put down all of your ideas
that wanted for your radio advert.
Informal Pitch
• Strengths of using this method
– You get to talk to your teacher about whether
your idea is good and if it can be improved or not.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– There were no weaknesses with this method.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• Yes, because you get advice from your teacher
and you can act upon it.
Group Idea Generation
I came up with the idea
that at the beginning
of the advert it would
have the crackling of
an old record and then
as it went into the past
it would fade out and
become brighter
I came up with the idea
that the words ‘forever
young’ would be
repeated but in
different voices, a kid’s
and an old man’s.
I came up with the idea
that street sound
would be in the
present and the bird
song and kids playing
would be in the past
Group Idea Generation
• Strengths of using this method
You get everyone's ideas and you can use their
ideas.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– Groups can be unreliable (people’s lives are
complicated)
• Did you like using this method? Why?
• No, because I’m now working on my own and I
have to make my own decisions for the group and
I’m not getting help or feedback from the group.
Formal Pitch
• Strengths of using this method
You get feedback directly from the client.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– You don’t know what the mood of the client could be
and they might not be receptive.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes and no, yes because you get feedback from the
client and no because you won’t know the mood of
the client.
Initial Reaction
My reaction is that I am excited that I get to
make my very own old school video game like
they used to make them in the 1980s, but I am
also very nervous on how I’m supposed to make
the characters, the backgrounds, the musical
notes, the coca cola logo and the slogan
underneath it.
Initial Reaction
• Strengths of using this method
– You get to write down the feelings you have towards this
project and how you are feeling about it
• Weaknesses of using this method
– You can put down your feelings but not the ideas that
you want for your game
• Did you like using this method? Why?
No because you don’t get to put down any of your
ideas that you want for your game
Sketches
Sketches
Sketches
• Strengths of using this method
You get to pick ideas that you what for your game in
the form of images.
• Weaknesses of using this method
There were no weaknesses with this method
• Did you like using this method? Why?
Yes, because it is a visual method and I work well with
visual methods
Formal Proposal
• Strengths of using this method
You get feedback directly from the client.
• Weaknesses of using this method
– You don’t know what the mood of the client could be
and they might not be receptive.
• Did you like using this method? Why?
