5. Research Design
This study used the correlational design since it
established the relationship between two variables
(Thomas, 2003). Transcendental leadership was
related to strategic planning skills.
The colleges of education administrators of Region
III were described based on the Transcendental
Leadership Model Questionnaire of Liu (2008). It
consisted the respondents’ vision, faith, altruistic
love, spiritual development and spirituality in the
work place (Interconnection with a Higher Power,
Nature and All Living Things and Human Beings).
6. • The component of transcendental leadership
of leader’s strengths and weaknesses was
revealed based on the acquired mean and
interpretations. It also looked into the aspects
of educational leadership affected by the
weaknesses as shown in management
theories concepts of Ehiobuche & Tu (2012)
and Asian context in management theories of
Bhagat, McDevitt & McDevitt (2009).
7. • The colleges of education administrators of
Region III was also described in terms of their
skills in strategic planning as evaluated in the
Strategic Planning Survey Instrument of
Campbell (2010) and Strategy Execution
Implementation Questionnaire of Bailey
(2008).
8. • Correlation between transcendental leadership
and strategic planning skills was established by
the use of Pearson r.
• An output on Administrative Development Plan
was developed as of transcendental leadership
characteristics awareness program and good
practices in strategic planning in administration
trainings and development to cope with the 21st
century challenges and concerns. Implications to
educational management were also derived from
the findings.
9. Summary of Findings

It was followed by preserving an extra effort to
help the organization succeed because of its faith
with a mean of 4.68 and the faith of the
administrators on willingness to do everything to

13. • The effects of the weaknesses in the educational
leadership through existing management theories
were also reflected on the context of Asian
management theories of Bhagat, McDevitt &
McDevitt (2009) they present taxonomy of cross-
cultural management theories as applied to the Asia
Pacific Countries. The Philippine work place has a
strong tendency to emphasize relationship versus

colleges and universities.

development to take care of the spirituality of the faculty in the
workplace. This leader on Spiritual Development will suggest
and plan programs on the target concerns.
2. The coordinator of the educational management programs in
the graduate school should consider the inclusion of
transcendental leadership and strategic planning in the
leadership and management subjects of the graduate school
students so that this will encourage and enlighten the
recipients on this new emerging leadership and management
capabilities.
3. Future researchers can have a study on the transcendental
leadership and strategic Ppanning on different colleges
namely Accountancy, Management, Engineering and Nursing.
