Looking back at
your preliminary
task what do you
feel you have learnt
in the progress to it
to the full product?
 
The research part of this
progress is the part in which I
feel I learnt most from
because by researching into
codes and conventions you
learnt what is expected in a
rock magazine and a student
magazine which makes it
easier for you.
This is my research section
on my fronter page
In the target audience research I learnt about what
my readers would want and what they don’t want. I
learnt that this is one of the most important parts of my
research because it comes directly from my target
audience themselves.
From doing STA’s you learn the basic things such as
where and what goes on a magazine for example
most magazines use a pug as an extra incentive. In
the subject matter research you learn a lot about your
genre and what your fans would expect to see on a
rock magazine, I learnt more about the rock genre.
These are
a couple of
my initial
ideas
From my preliminary task to
my main product I feel I
have learnt more about
Photoshop and how to use
it and also about my
target audience and what
they would want. From
doing the preliminary task I
see how important it is to
do research on whom the
product is for and how you
are going to appeal to
that specific audience.
