1. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the
progression from it to the full project?
I feel like I have learnt and grown on my ability to produce a magazine suitable for the genre
and the target audience. I have also become a lot more familiar of codes and conventions of
music magazines. In addition I feel that my knowledge about magazines has increased due to
learning a lot more about them, why they are designed in certain ways, who they aim to attract,
what conventions they use, colour, fonts, images... This has allowed me produce a decent pop
music magazine. I have learnt how to use the basics of Photoshop, blogger and slideshare. I am
now able to design a basic magazine with the conventions that are needed. I also now know the
amount of work that must be put into planning and research before you start creating your
magazines in order for it to be as good as you can do it. By making sure that planning and
research is done to the fullest, it makes the rest of the project a bit easier due to you knowing
what you want to include and what your target audience would like.
