2. This was the beginning of the double page. I think it was important to have lot’s of room for writing because other R&B magazines such as VIBE have a lot of writing due to the target audience of young adults. I have chosen to have the big image in colour with smaller black and white photos because you get a contrast from good to bad.
3. The difference from the first is that I have added a date, the swagger name and page number to the bottom to fill the white space as well as following the conventions of a R&B magazine. I also chose to change the colour of her dress to a light purple so she doesn’t get lost in the background.
4. The progress on this double page is the quote the subtitles and the volume in the left hand corner. I decided to have some of the words in blue in order to make them stand out and grab peoples attention. I also have decided to have the other text in a dark grey not black to correlate with the smaller pictures. Volume in the corner was too fill the white gap.
5. This is my development of my double page. I have added the text. I have chosen to include a song exclusive on the right hand page and the interview on the left. I have also chosen to have the first sentence in a bigger bolder front as this captures their attention as well as outlining what the interview will be about.
6. This is my final progress before asking my target audience their opinions. I have chosen to change the volume to a paint splat which I made in Photoshop. It is the same colour as the blue writing in the story so the whole page has a colour scheme. I have also added a slight purple gradient to the background of the double page which is the same light purple as her dress. I did this because my contents also has this which means all the pages link well together. I have also changed the font size from 12 to 9 on here because when printed it was too large for the target audience. I have also added paragraphing which is important in magazines to indentify the different subject topics and to follow the conventions.
