Routine 5’:
Teacher will greet students and say hello to all of them.
T: Hello! My name is Flavia Mozetich! I’m studying to be a teacher and I’m in the last stage
of the career. I will be working with you for some weeks! I hope you can enjoy the lesson as
I will do! Do you want to make me any question?
S: Hello flavia!
Teacher will give one minute for questions.
Transition: ok! Now we are going to work
Warm Up 15’:
Teacher will ask students to a brainstorm about what they have learnt in the previous lesson
in order to refresh concept with students and introduce the new topic.
T: Ok! Last class you had an exam about different occupations. I could hear all of them. Do
you want to repeat to let me know them?
S: ¡Si vimos diferentes ocupaciones!
T: Right! Different occupations! And what are those occupations? Can you name them?
S: Yes! President!
T: Okey!
S: Businessperson!
T: Perfect!
S: Model!
T: Ok!
S: Tv Presenter!
T: Ok any one?
S: Yes! Actress!
T: Ok! Good!
S: Singer!
T: Yes!
S: Football player!
T: Ok!
S: Actor
T: Ok! There are a lot of occupations! Do you want to have any of those occupations? For
example: I want to be an athlete when I finish my studies!
S: Students answer
(Note: it is possible that students answer in Spanish, however, I will repeat in English every
phrase)
Transition: Ok! Now I will show you some new things!
Presentation 20’:
Teacher will display some pictures on the blackboard to introduce the new topic. While
students guess what they are in their L1, teacher will stick the name in English next to the
picture
T: Ok! Now we are going to analyse the following pictures. Pay attention!
Look at this picture!
How do you call this picture?
S: Amigos!
S: Se saludan!
S: Se conocen!
T: Right! This picture call “Make new friends” (teacher stick the name next to the picture)
Very good!
T: Ok! What about this? How do call this picture?
S: Kitchen!
T : It could be yes! But that is not the name!
S: Musica!
T: No! keep thinking! Came on!
S: cosas que se hacen con las manos!
T: Things we do with our hands! That’s and interesting anwers! You are very near!
This pictures shows us hobbis! Its names is : “ Start a new hobby”
T: Ok! Let’s continue!
How do you call this picture?
S. Prueba seño!
T: Yes, it is an exam! But… Its name is “Get good grades”
T: Very good! You are very intelligent!
Now, look at this picture!
S: A Book!
T: Yes, it is a book! And its name is “Read a good book”
Excellent!!
T: And what about this?
How do you call this picture?
S: Hermanos?
T: yes! There is a brother ans there is a sister! And are they good or bad? (teacher will use
her thumb to show the meaninf of good and bad)
S: Good!!
T: Yes! They are good! And this picture is called : Be nice to my sister/ brother”
T: Good job!!

T: Yes! Children going to school! And are they on time? Or are they late? (teacher will mime
with her hands)
S: mmm, tarde!
T: Yes! They are late! So the name of this picture is “Get to school on time”
T: And what about this? This is easy!
S: Ahorrar plata seño!!
T: Yes! This picture call “save money!!”

S: Yes!!

T: Ok! Come on! We are finishing!

S: Mm tareas de la casa?
T: Yes! They are chores. And this picture call” Help at hope”
T: Ok! The last two pictures! How do you call this picture?
S: Abuelos?
T: Yes, there are a grandfather and grandmother!
S: chicos visitando abuelos!
T: Yes! That right! “ visit my grandparents” is the name of this picture!
T: The last one! How do you call these picture?
S: Gym!
T: Yes! It is about gym! And its name is “Join the gym”, it is like start the gym!
T: Ok! So we have many new things to do! What do you want to do? For example: I want to
read a book!
S: ahorrar plata!
T: Ok! Right! “ save money”
S: llegar a la escuela!
Activity 1 10’
Teacher will give the activities that appears in the book
T: Perfect! Get to school on time!
Ok! Now you are going to open yours books on page 11!
(teacher give one minute to open the books)
Note: The activity 1 and 2 were told me to give to student by the teacher.
T: Ready?
S: Yes!
T: Ok! Here you have different pictures! They are similar to the ones in the blackboard! Can
you seethem?
S: Yes!
T: Ok! On the top, you have the list of the things we learnt on the blackboard!
Can you see it?
S: yes!
T: Ok! You have to match the name with the correct picture! If you have any doubt you can
look at the blackboard!
(Note: teacher will give 5 minutes to do the activity)
T: Ok! Have you finished?
S: yes!
Activity 2 10’:
Teacher will ask to give priority to the things they want to do.
T: Ok! Now you are going to write in the order that you want to do it!
For example, (teacher will write on the blackboard)
1- make new friends
2-visit my grandparents
3-save money
Have you understood?
S: Yes!
T: Ok ! It is your turn now!
Note (teacher will give 5 minutes to do the activity and then correct)
Activity 3 10’
Teacher will introduce a reading text to students. The aim of the activity is to give student
the possibility to think about their things and what things they would like to change for the
next year.
Teacher will display a poster with the name of “change for the future”
Then each student will choose one things to change and will write above the poster.
T: ok! Look at this poster! It has a name! “change for the future”.
Now I want that everyone writes what thing they want to change! It has to be only one!
Ok? Have you understood?
S: Yes!!
T: ok came on!
(teacher will give 5 minutes to pass to the blackboard and write their things to change)
Transition: Well done! Opens you book at page 12 and we are going to investigate a little
more!
Activity 4 20’
Student will read a brief text to answer some questions about it.
T: Ok! Look at the photos in the book! What can you see?
S: Una chica!
T: Yes! It is a girl! Her name is Lara McKim. Where is she?
S: En la pieza o el living!
T: Yes! I could be in her bedroom or in the living room! Very good!
She is writing her resolution for the year, which is similar to what we call “change for the
future”
Let’s read the story! Pay attention to those words that you do not know ok!
(Teacher will give 10 minutes to read)
T: Have you read it?
S: yes!
T: Ok! What is the text about?
S: Sobre chicos que escriben!
T: Yes! That right! It is about children who answer a question!
And what is that question?
S: What are your resolutions for this year?
T: Excellent! That is the questions!
Ok, now we are going to read the text again, and we are going to do activity 2.
In activity 2, there are some questions about the text. You have to read the text again and
answer the question. You can work in pairs. Have you understood?
S: yes!
(Teacher will read the questions aloud to check that all the students have understood the
questions)
(Teacher will give ten minutes to do the activity and then they will check)
Activity 5 15’
Teacher will ask to complete the table with the people mention in the reading and their
resolution.
T: Ok! Look at the exercise 3! You have a chart with the different names of the students! Can
you see it?
S: Yes!
T: Ok! You have to complete with the resolution of each student.
For example: the first is Janet, what are her resolutions?
S: I want to be a good student!
T: That’s right - be a good student! Ok! Now read and complete the chart in pairs!
Closure15’
Teacher will give a short text with missing words to students complete with the new words
learnt during the classroom.
T: Ok! Now I will give you a copy! There are some missing words.
You have to read and complete with the word that fits better. Ok?

T: Excellent! You can start!
Hi Girls! My resolutions for this year are: __________ at home, mum is always unhappy,
then be __________ with my sister. Finally, I want to _______ money to buy a new phone.
Teacher will give some minutes to do the activity and then she checks.
T: Ok! Have you finished?

Teacher will correct the activity and then say goodbye to students!

Now we are going to work Warm Up 15’: Teacher will ask students to a brainstorm about what they have learnt in the previous lesson in order to refresh concept with students and introduce the new topic. T: Ok! Last class you had an exam about different occupations. I could hear all of them. Do you want to repeat to let me know them? S: ¡Si vimos diferentes ocupaciones! T: Right! Different occupations! And what are those occupations? Can you name them? S: Yes! President! T: Okey! S: Businessperson! T: Perfect! S: Model! T: Ok! S: Tv Presenter! T: Ok any one? S: Yes! Actress! They are similar to the ones in the blackboard! Can you seethem? S: Yes! T: Ok! On the top, you have the list of the things we learnt on the blackboard! Can you see it? S: yes!
  • 12. T: Ok! You have to match the name with the correct picture! If you have any doubt you can look at the blackboard! (Note: teacher will give 5 minutes to do the activity) T: Ok! Have you finished? S: yes! Activity 2 10’: Teacher will ask to give priority to the things they want to do. T: Ok! Now you are going to write in the order that you want to do it! For example, (teacher will write on the blackboard) 1- make new friends 2-visit my grandparents 3-save money Have you understood? S: Yes! T: Ok ! It is your turn now! Note (teacher will give 5 minutes to do the activity and then correct) Activity 3 10’ Teacher will introduce a reading text to students. The aim of the activity is to give student the possibility to think about their things and what things they would like to change for the next year. Teacher will display a poster with the name of “change for the future” Then each student will choose one things to change and will write above the poster. T: ok! Look at this poster! It has a name! “change for the future”. Now I want that everyone writes what thing they want to change! It has to be only one! Ok? Have you understood?
  • 13. S: Yes!! T: ok came on! (teacher will give 5 minutes to pass to the blackboard and write their things to change) Transition: Well done! Opens you book at page 12 and we are going to investigate a little more! Activity 4 20’ Student will read a brief text to answer some questions about it. T: Ok! Look at the photos in the book! What can you see? S: Una chica! T: Yes! It is a girl! Her name is Lara McKim. Where is she? S: En la pieza o el living! T: Yes! I could be in her bedroom or in the living room! Very good! She is writing her resolution for the year, which is similar to what we call “change for the future”

T: Ok! Look at the exercise 3! You have a chart with the different names of the students! Can you see it? S: Yes! T: Ok! You have to complete with the resolution of each student. For example: the first is Janet, what are her resolutions? S: I want to be a good student!
