in a circle on the floor.


and produce it accurately. 
Routine 5’:
Purpose: to start the lesson, get students into the mood for work.
I will enter to the room and greet students: Hello! How are you?
Then I will ask them to stand up and sing a “Hello song”.

Transition: Hello everybody!!
Warm-up 5’:
Purpose:to introduce the topic and the teaching pint
The teacher will show students two small pillows (almohadon) with the shape of a
triangle and another with the shape of a circle with different colours (Red-Blue). She will
explain that they will have to clap(mimes) when the teacher mentions the right colour of
the pillow and stamp their feet(mimes) when teacher mentions the wrong colour.
The teacher will make some examples before she starts
T: Look at this! It’s Blue (pillow red)
S: (stamp their feet)
T: Look at this! It’s Red (pillow red)
S: (clap their hands)
Now teacher will repeat the activity with some objects around the classroom.
T: Well done! Now look at this! It’s red! (touch something red in the classroom)
S: (clap their hands)
Transition: Excellent! good job!
Presentation5’:
The teacher will bringtwo smaller pillowswith the shape of a rectangle
and another with the shape of a square, onewill be yellow and the other
green and show to students.
The teacher will introducethe new colours.
T: Look!! I have two morepillows!!
Look!! What’s colour it is? (show pillow yellow)
S: Amarillo seño!
T: Yes!! It’s Yellow! Repeat with me: It’s yellow!!Excellent!!
S: (studentsrepeat after teacher)
T: Excellent!! And now, What’scolour is it? (show pillow green)
S: Verde seño!
T: Yes! It’s Green!! Repeatwith me: It’s green!! Excellent!!
T: One moretime! What’s colour it is? (show pillow yellow)
S: It’s Yellow!
T: What’s colour it is? (show pillow green)
S: It’s Green!!
Transition: Excellent!! We have new colours!!
Practice 10’:
The teacher will hide the pillow and she will get out oneeach time.
Studentswill close their eyes. Then the teacher will ask studentswhat
colour is it? They will open their eyes and answer accordingwhat they will
see.
T: I will hide the pillow (teacher makes mime) you willclose your eyes
(teacher makes mime)and when I say What’s colour is it? You will open
your eyesand answer (teacher makes mime)
Wewill make an example(teacher make an examplewith studentto check
they understand theinstruction)
T: Ok! Close your eyes! (makes mime)What’s colour is it? (show a green
pillow)
S:(studentsopen their eyes and say) It’s green!
T: Excellent!! Very good!Now, close their eyes! What’s colour is it? (show a
yellow pillow)
S: It’s yellow!!
T: Excellent!! Very good!!
Note:Can I do the activity with the other colour too? Or should I only
do with the new colours?
Production10’:
Studentswill sit on the floor. The teacher will explain that they have to pass
the pillow while the music is playing. When the music stops children who
have the pillow will have to stand up and teacher will answer what colour
is it? Studentswill have to answer.
T: Comehere and sit in a circle! (teacher helps them) While I will play some
music(show on the radio)you will have to pass the pillow(makes mime),
when the music stopschildren who have the pillow stand up and teacher
will ask What colour is it? And you haveto answer Okay? (teacher will help
with gestures, movementsand mimes)
Let’s do an example! (teacher show an example to check students
understand)
They will play many times in order that all studentscould speak.
Closure 8’:
The teacher will play somemusic and tell the children to dance around the
room until the music stops. Then teacher willcall out a colour: It’s green.
Studentshave to go and stand next to the correct colour.
T: Look at the pillow. (teacher points out) I will play somemusic, when it
stops, you willrun to the colour I will mention (Teacher makes mimes).
Ok, we will do an example!(teacher showshow to do the activity to check
studentsunderstand)
Ending the lesson3’:
Teacher will tell studentsthat is time for lunchand it is time to puttheir
things away(mimes)
Teacher will play a song while they are listening, their puttheir things
away.

  • 2.  Teaching approach or combination of methods / approaches:  Communicative approach   Materials and resources: pillow- music   Seating arrangement: First students will be at their desk, then they will sit in a circle on the floor.   Assessment: teacher will check that students understand the new structure and produce it accurately.  Routine 5’: Purpose: to start the lesson, get students into the mood for work. I will enter to the room and greet students: Hello! How are you? Then I will ask them to stand up and sing a “Hello song”. “Hello Hello Hello What’s your name? What’s your name? Hello Hello Hello What’s your name? What’s your name? I’m Danny Hello Danny! Coming coming! I’m Danny Hello Danny Coming I’m Danny Hello Danny coming coming I’m Danny coming!” (taken from Playground 1 Richmond. It is the song that teacher uses every lesson) Transition: Hello everybody!!

Warm-up 5’: Purpose:to introduce the topic and the teaching pint The teacher will show students two small pillows (almohadon) with the shape of a triangle and another with the shape of a circle with different colours (Red-Blue). She will explain that they will have to clap(mimes) when the teacher mentions the right colour of the pillow and stamp their feet(mimes) when teacher mentions the wrong colour. The teacher will make some examples before she starts T: Look at this! It’s Blue (pillow red) S: (stamp their feet) T: Look at this! It’s Red (pillow red) S: (clap their hands) Now teacher will repeat the activity with some objects around the classroom. T: Well done! Now look at this! It’s red! (touch something red in the classroom) S: (clap their hands) Transition: Excellent! good job! Presentation5’: The teacher will bringtwo smaller pillowswith the shape of a rectangle and another with the shape of a square, onewill be yellow and the other green and show to students. The teacher will introducethe new colours. T: Look!! I have two morepillows!! Look!! What’s colour it is? (show pillow yellow) S: Amarillo seño! T: Yes!! It’s Yellow! Repeat with me: It’s yellow!!Excellent!! S: (studentsrepeat after teacher) T: Excellent!! And now, What’scolour is it? (show pillow green) S: Verde seño! T: Yes! It’s Green!! Repeatwith me: It’s green!! Excellent!! T: One moretime! What’s colour it is? (show pillow yellow) S: It’s Yellow! T: What’s colour it is? (show pillow green)
  • 4. S: It’s Green!! Transition: Excellent!! We have new colours!! Practice 10’: The teacher will hide the pillow and she will get out oneeach time. Studentswill close their eyes. Then the teacher will ask studentswhat colour is it? They will open their eyes and answer accordingwhat they will see. T: I will hide the pillow (teacher makes mime) you willclose your eyes (teacher makes mime)and when I say What’s colour is it? You will open your eyesand answer (teacher makes mime) Wewill make an example(teacher make an examplewith studentto check they understand theinstruction) T: Ok! Close your eyes! (makes mime)What’s colour is it? (show a green pillow) S:(studentsopen their eyes and say) It’s green! T: Excellent!! Very good!Now, close their eyes! What’s colour is it? (show a yellow pillow) S: It’s yellow!! T: Excellent!! Very good!! Note:Can I do the activity with the other colour too? Or should I only do with the new colours? Production10’: Studentswill sit on the floor. The teacher will explain that they have to pass the pillow while the music is playing. When the music stops children who have the pillow will have to stand up and teacher will answer what colour is it? Studentswill have to answer. T: Comehere and sit in a circle! (teacher helps them) While I will play some music(show on the radio)you will have to pass the pillow(makes mime),
  • 5. when the music stopschildren who have the pillow stand up and teacher will ask What colour is it? And you haveto answer Okay? (teacher will help with gestures, movementsand mimes) Let’s do an example! (teacher show an example to check students understand) They will play many times in order that all studentscould speak. Closure 8’: The teacher will play somemusic and tell the children to dance around the room until the music stops. Then teacher willcall out a colour: It’s green. Studentshave to go and stand next to the correct colour. T: Look at the pillow. (teacher points out) I will play somemusic, when it stops, you willrun to the colour I will mention (Teacher makes mimes). Ok, we will do an example!(teacher showshow to do the activity to check studentsunderstand) Ending the lesson3’: Teacher will tell studentsthat is time for lunchand it is time to puttheir things away(mimes) Teacher will play a song while they are listening, their puttheir things away.
