2. Process for magazine cover
• For my final product,
I decided to do it on
advertising Team
Fortress 2.
• I used Photoshop.
• Went with the
masthead of
“Gaming Weekly”
for my magazine.
3. Process for magazine cover
• I started adding the
plug and upcoming
game at the
bottom.
- I decided to plug a guide for
gaming pc building because the
game I was advertising is for PC.
4. Process for magazine cover
- Started adding the
characters, as I
wanted them to be
the centre of
attention on this
magazine.
5. Process for magazine cover
• I also tried
experimenting with
different font
colours, layout and
placements.
6. Process for double page spread
• I decided to use a
few more
characters on the
double page
spread, Pyro and
Heavy.
7. Process for double page spread
- I decided to add a
fiery background,
because I felt it fit
the character of
Pyro, who’s weapon
of choice is a
flamethrower.
- I also wanted to make the
characters stand out.
8. Process for double page spread.
- I decided to try give general
information about the game, to try and
sell it. I wrote it in Microsoft Word, as a
safe back up, then copied and pasted it. I
changed sizing and font colours, to try be
readable, as well as stand out.
- I also wanted to add
in page numbers, to
make it look
authentic.
9. Process for double page spread
- I also wanted to add a drop-cap, with how I have
the “o” at the start of the first sentence be the
actual games logo.
