Production Process Evaluation
Research
• After completing the research stage of my production, I found that there were a lot of
strengths and some weaknesses to it, I found that strengths were the Brexit podcast that I
had found, I thought that this gave me a great chance to gain inspiration, from the different
elements that were used in each podcast, for example, the sound effects, language used,
music and the music bed. I looked at a number of different podcast ranging for the BBC to
The Guardian and Financial Times, I found that by doing this it gave me the chance to get a
different take on how each podcast was set out. Another strength that I found was the
royalty free music that I managed to find, this really helped me with my radio documentary
when I came to produce it. Another weakness I found was that I could researched more
shows outside of the BBC, by doing this I think that it would give me a wider understand of
the topic and for me to understand and hear different views and opinions.
Existing Products
• I found a lot of strengths and some weaknesses, looking at existing products, I thought this
was a great way for me to understand how a documentary is put together, as I has never
made one before, to complete this task I researched a number of podcasts and
documentary’s revolving around my topic which is Brexit. I took a lot of inspiration from the
sound effects, langue and general theme used throughout. Another strength that I found of
exploring pre-existing product was that it gave me the chance to gain inspiration from a good
of different elements, such as the sound effects used, the theme and feeling that the
producer is trying to convey. A weakness that I found looking at pre-existing products, was
that some of the sound effects and effects in general would be hard to recreate, because I
don’t have the recourses or the production budget that, the BBC or Financial Times has.
Survey
• I found that my survey helped me massively, because it gave me a great chance to understand my target
audience, I gave the chance to find out what they for in documentary, such as sound effects, music, and
what attracts to wanting to listen to a documentary, to carry out my survey successfully, I needed to create
total of ten question, these question had to be qualitative and quantitative questions, producing these
different types, would ensure that I got the best possible answer out of my audience, it would also ensure
that I got a detailed answer and not just one word. Also my survey’s helped me determine how I would
conduct my interviews, my audience wanted me to do a mixture of both an in studio recording and an on
location interview. Another strength that I found completing my survey’s is that it gave me the chance to
evaluate, pick a part and discuss the response that I had been given, this really helped, as it made me
understand how to evaluate responses from people.
Interview
• I conducted my interviews by, creating three questions, and then getting my
audience to answer them, I found that doing this was a great chance for me to
understand my audience a bit more and to see what they look for in documentary,
looking at my answer I found that they look for a whole range of different
elements, such as sound effects, music and some of them look for how the
documentary can connect with them, for example looking at what the topic is.
Another strength was the question that I created, I think they were produced to
the best slandered to ensure that I got the best possible response, a weakness that
I found was only being able to produce three question, because doing this caps the
response that I’m going to get and also doesn’t get me a large response.
Production Experiments
To conduct my production experiments, I had to first plan out what I wanted to base
my experiment on, after I had done that, I looked at a range of different sound effects
that I could use. I think that creating my production experiments, gave me a great
chance to explore Adobe Audition and to look at many different sound effect that I
could potentially use for when I came to produce my production experiments. a
strength that I found by making my experiments, was that it gave me a chance to write
a script and lay out any ideas that I might have had, another strength that I found was
that it gave me a good chance to explore different royalty free sounds, that I would
then go on to use within my final product.
Planning
• I found a lot of strengths, when it came to the planning stage of my production, I found that the script that I produced
helped me, because this meant that I could section the my documentary out and plan who I was going to interview first and
how long the interview would last. Another strength that I found was the interview question that I created, this also really
helped me, because by doing this, I knew what question I would ask and I wouldn’t worrying about them when I come to my
actual product because I have already planned them. I found some weaknesses while doing my planning, I think I could of
added more to my script to improve it, and make it more detailed, for example, put some actual lines in that would be
discussed in the interview. I also think to improve my planning I could of made more Mood Boards and created a mock up
logo to show would it could potentially look like. I think my planning helped me product in a lot of positive ways, I think
because I planned well is one of the reasons that my actual production ran smoothly, because for example I had already
planned my questions and the music that I would be incorporating in to my production. I think another strength was my
music and sound effects that I had used within my production, I think the music that I found really brought my product to
life. I think next time I would try to create my own sound effects, I think if I was to of made my own sound effects, that
would have a big effect on my product in a positive way, because it would just mean that my product is 100% ”homemade”
in a way.
Initial Plans
• My initial plans was really the beginning for my final major product, in this area I created a mood board to
explore a range of different themes and emotions, for example, sad, angry, happy, love and lust. I also
discussed my initial reaction to being given this project, where I spoke about my feelings and how I felt
about idea that I was putting forward, I found a lot of strengths with this practically because if I had any
issues with my project they could be discussed early on and a solution could be found, before starting. I
also found strengths in the number of mood boards that I created, as I found putting forward a number of
different themes and feelings really helped my product expand. Another strength that I found was creating
mind maps based on my final idea, I found that this gave me a great chance to explore each element that
would make up my final product, such as sound effects, music, topics that I could talk about and possible
people that I could interview. Another strength that I found, was discussing the pros and cons of potential
ideas for my final project, as this gave the chance to come up with new ideas and exlore different routes
and effects.
Proposal
• I found a lot of strengths and weaknesses, when completing my proposal, I found
that it was a great way to explore my idea even further, it gave me the chance to
go in to detail and look at all of the different elements to making up my product,
such as my audition profile and looking at there gender ad age, I also spoke about
the general concept of my product and what I planned to put forward. Another
strength that I found was that I had the chance to speak about the progress that I
have made throughout year, I thought this was an important part of my proposal,
because it gives you the chance to reflect. Also my proposal gave me the chance to
go in to detail about a lot of other elements, such as what sort of background of
people will I be aiming my product at, and if my product will be made accessible to
everyone or just a small number of people.
Time Management
• I think my time management for this Final Major Product, went really well. I made
sure that I used and free time out of class and evenings that do work, to make sure
I was always on top of it. I think if I had been given additional time I would have
been able to produce my own sound effects. I must say that at times I did find
myself worrying, not having a certain stage completed in time and the standard of
my work, at times I did ask myself, “Is this good enough” I did manage to meet
every deadline, and in regards of worrying, I make sure that I get regular feedback
on stages, and talk to my tutor regularly about the progression of my work. I think
as well if I had more additional time, I would explore more in the regards of
making my logo, I’d look at different colours and fonts. Although I do think my logo
fits in every well and I like the font and colours I have used, there is always room
for improvement.
Technical Qualities
Interview With Simon Smith.
Here you can see my radio documentary and a pre existing product, similar to my own. After taking the time
to listen to both, I have found that my documentary had quite a few aspects that are the same, for example
both documentary's use sound effects, in mine I have used battle and hospital sound effects, in the existing
product they have used, people talking/walking and the sound of big ben. Another similarity that I have found
is that both documentary’s have a jingle and introduction at the beginning. A difference that I have found
looking at the pre-existing documentary, in comparison to my own, is that it sounds a lot higher recording
quality, compared to mine. Another difference that I have found is that the pre-existing documentary is
covering a slightly different topic, than to what I am, also I have found that there documentary does not use a
music bed, within there documentary where as I have. Another strength that I found was the different
presenting approach that I took when interviewing Simon, as you can hear, you don’t actually hear me speak
and hear him answer the question on his own accord. I think this was in a way a unique presenting format for
me to use.
Aesthetic Qualities
I really like the use of the colour
red that I have used within my
logo, I have chosen this colour,
because I felt that it would give
my logo the best chance of
standing out towards my target
audience, as red is the colour
that most attracts us when we
are looking at something, it’s a
very vibrant colour.
I also really like the use of black that I
have used within my logo, I feel that
this helps my font stand out, and it
goes really well behind the back of
the red.
As you can see I have
produced spaces between
letters, I got inspiration from
looking at per-existing logos,
such as BBC.
I also think that the different
sized lettering on my logo looks,
quite creative, although this was
not intentional. I think it works
well.
If I had the chance of additional time, I would incorporate some form of outline template that is
radio related, because looking at my logo now, nothing is telling my audience that this is
advertising a radio station/radio show.
Aural Qualities
• Interview With Louis Harmann
• I conducted a second interview with Louis Harmann, hoping to gather is thoughts and feelings on Brexit,
after listening to my interview I have found some strengths and weaknesses, the strengths that I found
were in relation to the sound effects that I had used, I found some really great sound music for my
introduction, I made sure that it was royalty free, beforehand. I think the music that I used really brought
my documentary to life, I also think that when my audience listen to it, it will put them in a good mood
and make them feel upbeat. I also think another strength comes from the recording quality of my
production, I thought that it sounded very professional and especially with the music, it all went really well
together. A weakness that I did find was, the sounds within my recording, for example at times you could
hear crackling and sniffing, I know that this wouldn’t of helped by the fact that I had a cold. If I had the
chance to do my radio documentary again with additional time, I would make sure I focused more on the
general editing side, as I found that I was editing to “harshly” taking quite big gaps out, so I think, I need to
work on my editing skills, I would class this as a weakness as well I think.
Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my audience, by looking at the findings of my questionnaire, for example, in
my questionnaire, I asked my target audience, if they would like an interview doing on
location, within a studio or a mixture of both, the response that I got for this question was that
that they would prefer a mixture of both, so what I did was, do one interview in the studio,
and one on location. I think quite a few different bits of my content would appeal to them, I
think the music I have used and the sound effects, I believe the music that I have used will
keep them engaged with my documentary. Also because they can’t see me it is important that
I use other means, such as sound effects and music to keep them engaged throughout. I think
the sound effects that UI have used will really appeal to them, because each sound is one that
a person can relate to, for example, I have used some hospital sounds, and I know that people
will be able to connect with that because everyone has been in hospital at some point in there
life. I have also used some battle sounds, looking at my audiences age range there is high
chance that some of the listeners would have severed in the army, so I think this as well is
another great appeal to my audience. I also think that the general topic of my documentary
will appeal to my audience because going back to the age range of the listeners, I think a lot of
them would have personally voted in the European Referendum and will definitely have some
thoughts and feelings on topic.
Improvements to production
• I made a number of improvements to my production, after listening to
through, I felt that it would be good idea to re-record the interview that I
did with Louis, as found that there were a lot of different sounds occurring
in the background, it also didn’t help that on the day of recording I was
struck with a cold, that affected my voice. I also made some smaller
improvements, after receiving my feedback, I imported more sound
effects and faded in and out in areas on my audio.
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
• The music that has been used in this radio show fits the topic and helps set the scene really well.
• The sound effects that you have added to the show add a sense of realism.
• The audio and the way the show flows is nice to listen too as the topic is a serious matter, the speaker has
a soft and serious tone to his voice which in its own helps you engage and be drawn in to the show.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• The way the show id done by having silence where the questions should be sounds really nice especially
with the style and topic used, however I feel as I should be watching a video of an interview where each
time the pause comes in text should appear so you know the question.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The audio is very clear which allows you to listen to
the speech clearly. The editing is mixed well. There is
sound effects which make the speech more
interesting. There is also music in the background
which is a piano. This helps set the scene of the music.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The piano in the background could be quieter. The
piano is very loud in some areas and this can be
distracting when you want to listen to the speech.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– It is edited very well, the use of sound effects throughout is very
well done.
– The audio is very clear and consistent, the topic is interesting.
– For the most part the background track is very fitting and links
with what has being said very well.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
• Some of the audio isn’t completely clean at some points as it could
be.
• The sound effects and music sometimes is a tad loud and can get in
the way of what is being said.
Feedback 4
• What did you like about the product?
– The introduction music was well put together and set the style of
atmosphere in the first few seconds. It was easy and clear to listen to
throughout and I didn’t struggle to hear anything that I heard. The
topic is current and sounds like something that would definitely be on
current radio shows. It sounds very professional.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
• A possible improvement is that some slight background noise might
be beneficial in the pauses between speaking. It shouldn’t be loud
enough to disrupt the speaking but it might work well.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
• Looking at the feedback I have been given, the points that I agree with are
• “The music that has been used in this radio show fits the topic and helps set the scene really
well.’
• “The sound effects that you have added to the show add a sense of realism.”
• I agree with all of this feedback, as I think also that the music fits n very well with my
documentary
• I also agree that the speech throughout my documentary is very clear, I also agree with the
feedback saying that it is very professional, this is great to hear as I’ve tried my best to get it
as close to the real thing as possible.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
• Looking at the feedback I have been given, I disagree with some points that have been made,
the points that I disagree with are, that someone said that the sound of the audio wasn’t
completely clean. I feel as if I have tried hard to get this to the highest sounded quality
possible and I don’t think I agree with this.
Peer Feedback Summary
Looking at the peer feedback I have been given, the changes I would make to my
product, based upon this is, I would make sure that the sound levels within my audio
were at a lower level to make sure the music and actual interview could be heard
clearly I would also make sure that I try not to repeat the same words, I think I would
also try and film my radio show next time, because looking back at my feedback, I have
seen some has said that they feel as if they should be watching a video and seeing the
questions that are being asked, I also think that this would be a good idea, because
then it would make my audience feel more connected to the show and the
conversation. I also would incorporate more sounds where the silences are within my
audio. Overall, I am pleased with the responses I have received in regards to my
product, and I think my product turned out exactly how I wanted it to, it sounds
professional.

7. evaluation fmp 2018

  • 3. Research • After completing the research stage of my production, I found that there were a lot of strengths and some weaknesses to it, I found that strengths were the Brexit podcast that I had found, I thought that this gave me a great chance to gain inspiration, from the different elements that were used in each podcast, for example, the sound effects, language used, music and the music bed. I looked at a number of different podcast ranging for the BBC to The Guardian and Financial Times, I found that by doing this it gave me the chance to get a different take on how each podcast was set out. Another strength that I found was the royalty free music that I managed to find, this really helped me with my radio documentary when I came to produce it. Another weakness I found was that I could researched more shows outside of the BBC, by doing this I think that it would give me a wider understand of the topic and for me to understand and hear different views and opinions.
  • 4. Existing Products • I found a lot of strengths and some weaknesses, looking at existing products, I thought this was a great way for me to understand how a documentary is put together, as I has never made one before, to complete this task I researched a number of podcasts and documentary’s revolving around my topic which is Brexit. I took a lot of inspiration from the sound effects, langue and general theme used throughout. Another strength that I found of exploring pre-existing product was that it gave me the chance to gain inspiration from a good of different elements, such as the sound effects used, the theme and feeling that the producer is trying to convey. A weakness that I found looking at pre-existing products, was that some of the sound effects and effects in general would be hard to recreate, because I don’t have the recourses or the production budget that, the BBC or Financial Times has.
  • 5. Survey • I found that my survey helped me massively, because it gave me a great chance to understand my target audience, I gave the chance to find out what they for in documentary, such as sound effects, music, and what attracts to wanting to listen to a documentary, to carry out my survey successfully, I needed to create total of ten question, these question had to be qualitative and quantitative questions, producing these different types, would ensure that I got the best possible answer out of my audience, it would also ensure that I got a detailed answer and not just one word. Also my survey’s helped me determine how I would conduct my interviews, my audience wanted me to do a mixture of both an in studio recording and an on location interview. Another strength that I found completing my survey’s is that it gave me the chance to evaluate, pick a part and discuss the response that I had been given, this really helped, as it made me understand how to evaluate responses from people.
  • 6. Interview • I conducted my interviews by, creating three questions, and then getting my audience to answer them, I found that doing this was a great chance for me to understand my audience a bit more and to see what they look for in documentary, looking at my answer I found that they look for a whole range of different elements, such as sound effects, music and some of them look for how the documentary can connect with them, for example looking at what the topic is. Another strength was the question that I created, I think they were produced to the best slandered to ensure that I got the best possible response, a weakness that I found was only being able to produce three question, because doing this caps the response that I’m going to get and also doesn’t get me a large response.
  • 7. Production Experiments To conduct my production experiments, I had to first plan out what I wanted to base my experiment on, after I had done that, I looked at a range of different sound effects that I could use. I think that creating my production experiments, gave me a great chance to explore Adobe Audition and to look at many different sound effect that I could potentially use for when I came to produce my production experiments. a strength that I found by making my experiments, was that it gave me a chance to write a script and lay out any ideas that I might have had, another strength that I found was that it gave me a good chance to explore different royalty free sounds, that I would then go on to use within my final product.
  • 8. Planning • I found a lot of strengths, when it came to the planning stage of my production, I found that the script that I produced helped me, because this meant that I could section the my documentary out and plan who I was going to interview first and how long the interview would last. Another strength that I found was the interview question that I created, this also really helped me, because by doing this, I knew what question I would ask and I wouldn’t worrying about them when I come to my actual product because I have already planned them. I found some weaknesses while doing my planning, I think I could of added more to my script to improve it, and make it more detailed, for example, put some actual lines in that would be discussed in the interview. I also think to improve my planning I could of made more Mood Boards and created a mock up logo to show would it could potentially look like. I think my planning helped me product in a lot of positive ways, I think because I planned well is one of the reasons that my actual production ran smoothly, because for example I had already planned my questions and the music that I would be incorporating in to my production. I think another strength was my music and sound effects that I had used within my production, I think the music that I found really brought my product to life. I think next time I would try to create my own sound effects, I think if I was to of made my own sound effects, that would have a big effect on my product in a positive way, because it would just mean that my product is 100% ”homemade” in a way.
  • 9. Initial Plans • My initial plans was really the beginning for my final major product, in this area I created a mood board to explore a range of different themes and emotions, for example, sad, angry, happy, love and lust. I also discussed my initial reaction to being given this project, where I spoke about my feelings and how I felt about idea that I was putting forward, I found a lot of strengths with this practically because if I had any issues with my project they could be discussed early on and a solution could be found, before starting. I also found strengths in the number of mood boards that I created, as I found putting forward a number of different themes and feelings really helped my product expand. Another strength that I found was creating mind maps based on my final idea, I found that this gave me a great chance to explore each element that would make up my final product, such as sound effects, music, topics that I could talk about and possible people that I could interview. Another strength that I found, was discussing the pros and cons of potential ideas for my final project, as this gave the chance to come up with new ideas and exlore different routes and effects.
  • 10. Proposal • I found a lot of strengths and weaknesses, when completing my proposal, I found that it was a great way to explore my idea even further, it gave me the chance to go in to detail and look at all of the different elements to making up my product, such as my audition profile and looking at there gender ad age, I also spoke about the general concept of my product and what I planned to put forward. Another strength that I found was that I had the chance to speak about the progress that I have made throughout year, I thought this was an important part of my proposal, because it gives you the chance to reflect. Also my proposal gave me the chance to go in to detail about a lot of other elements, such as what sort of background of people will I be aiming my product at, and if my product will be made accessible to everyone or just a small number of people.
  • 11. Time Management • I think my time management for this Final Major Product, went really well. I made sure that I used and free time out of class and evenings that do work, to make sure I was always on top of it. I think if I had been given additional time I would have been able to produce my own sound effects. I must say that at times I did find myself worrying, not having a certain stage completed in time and the standard of my work, at times I did ask myself, “Is this good enough” I did manage to meet every deadline, and in regards of worrying, I make sure that I get regular feedback on stages, and talk to my tutor regularly about the progression of my work. I think as well if I had more additional time, I would explore more in the regards of making my logo, I’d look at different colours and fonts. Although I do think my logo fits in every well and I like the font and colours I have used, there is always room for improvement.
  • 12. Technical Qualities Interview With Simon Smith. Here you can see my radio documentary and a pre existing product, similar to my own. After taking the time to listen to both, I have found that my documentary had quite a few aspects that are the same, for example both documentary's use sound effects, in mine I have used battle and hospital sound effects, in the existing product they have used, people talking/walking and the sound of big ben. Another similarity that I have found is that both documentary’s have a jingle and introduction at the beginning. A difference that I have found looking at the pre-existing documentary, in comparison to my own, is that it sounds a lot higher recording quality, compared to mine. Another difference that I have found is that the pre-existing documentary is covering a slightly different topic, than to what I am, also I have found that there documentary does not use a music bed, within there documentary where as I have. Another strength that I found was the different presenting approach that I took when interviewing Simon, as you can hear, you don’t actually hear me speak and hear him answer the question on his own accord. I think this was in a way a unique presenting format for me to use.
  • 13. Aesthetic Qualities I really like the use of the colour red that I have used within my logo, I have chosen this colour, because I felt that it would give my logo the best chance of standing out towards my target audience, as red is the colour that most attracts us when we are looking at something, it’s a very vibrant colour. I also really like the use of black that I have used within my logo, I feel that this helps my font stand out, and it goes really well behind the back of the red. As you can see I have produced spaces between letters, I got inspiration from looking at per-existing logos, such as BBC. I also think that the different sized lettering on my logo looks, quite creative, although this was not intentional. I think it works well. If I had the chance of additional time, I would incorporate some form of outline template that is radio related, because looking at my logo now, nothing is telling my audience that this is advertising a radio station/radio show.
  • 14. Aural Qualities • Interview With Louis Harmann • I conducted a second interview with Louis Harmann, hoping to gather is thoughts and feelings on Brexit, after listening to my interview I have found some strengths and weaknesses, the strengths that I found were in relation to the sound effects that I had used, I found some really great sound music for my introduction, I made sure that it was royalty free, beforehand. I think the music that I used really brought my documentary to life, I also think that when my audience listen to it, it will put them in a good mood and make them feel upbeat. I also think another strength comes from the recording quality of my production, I thought that it sounded very professional and especially with the music, it all went really well together. A weakness that I did find was, the sounds within my recording, for example at times you could hear crackling and sniffing, I know that this wouldn’t of helped by the fact that I had a cold. If I had the chance to do my radio documentary again with additional time, I would make sure I focused more on the general editing side, as I found that I was editing to “harshly” taking quite big gaps out, so I think, I need to work on my editing skills, I would class this as a weakness as well I think.
  • 15. Audience Appeal I have appealed to my audience, by looking at the findings of my questionnaire, for example, in my questionnaire, I asked my target audience, if they would like an interview doing on location, within a studio or a mixture of both, the response that I got for this question was that that they would prefer a mixture of both, so what I did was, do one interview in the studio, and one on location. I think quite a few different bits of my content would appeal to them, I think the music I have used and the sound effects, I believe the music that I have used will keep them engaged with my documentary. Also because they can’t see me it is important that I use other means, such as sound effects and music to keep them engaged throughout. I think the sound effects that UI have used will really appeal to them, because each sound is one that a person can relate to, for example, I have used some hospital sounds, and I know that people will be able to connect with that because everyone has been in hospital at some point in there life. I have also used some battle sounds, looking at my audiences age range there is high chance that some of the listeners would have severed in the army, so I think this as well is another great appeal to my audience. I also think that the general topic of my documentary will appeal to my audience because going back to the age range of the listeners, I think a lot of them would have personally voted in the European Referendum and will definitely have some thoughts and feelings on topic.
  • 16. Improvements to production • I made a number of improvements to my production, after listening to through, I felt that it would be good idea to re-record the interview that I did with Louis, as found that there were a lot of different sounds occurring in the background, it also didn’t help that on the day of recording I was struck with a cold, that affected my voice. I also made some smaller improvements, after receiving my feedback, I imported more sound effects and faded in and out in areas on my audio.
  • 18. Feedback 1 • What did you like about the product? • The music that has been used in this radio show fits the topic and helps set the scene really well. • The sound effects that you have added to the show add a sense of realism. • The audio and the way the show flows is nice to listen too as the topic is a serious matter, the speaker has a soft and serious tone to his voice which in its own helps you engage and be drawn in to the show. • What improvements could have been made to the product? • The way the show id done by having silence where the questions should be sounds really nice especially with the style and topic used, however I feel as I should be watching a video of an interview where each time the pause comes in text should appear so you know the question.
  • 19. Feedback 2 • What did you like about the product? – The audio is very clear which allows you to listen to the speech clearly. The editing is mixed well. There is sound effects which make the speech more interesting. There is also music in the background which is a piano. This helps set the scene of the music. • What improvements could have been made to the product? – The piano in the background could be quieter. The piano is very loud in some areas and this can be distracting when you want to listen to the speech.
  • 20. Feedback 3 • What did you like about the product? – It is edited very well, the use of sound effects throughout is very well done. – The audio is very clear and consistent, the topic is interesting. – For the most part the background track is very fitting and links with what has being said very well. • What improvements could have been made to the product? • Some of the audio isn’t completely clean at some points as it could be. • The sound effects and music sometimes is a tad loud and can get in the way of what is being said.
  • 21. Feedback 4 • What did you like about the product? – The introduction music was well put together and set the style of atmosphere in the first few seconds. It was easy and clear to listen to throughout and I didn’t struggle to hear anything that I heard. The topic is current and sounds like something that would definitely be on current radio shows. It sounds very professional. • What improvements could have been made to the product? • A possible improvement is that some slight background noise might be beneficial in the pauses between speaking. It shouldn’t be loud enough to disrupt the speaking but it might work well.
  • 22. Peer Feedback Summary • What do you agree with from your peer feedback? • Looking at the feedback I have been given, the points that I agree with are • “The music that has been used in this radio show fits the topic and helps set the scene really well.’ • “The sound effects that you have added to the show add a sense of realism.” • I agree with all of this feedback, as I think also that the music fits n very well with my documentary • I also agree that the speech throughout my documentary is very clear, I also agree with the feedback saying that it is very professional, this is great to hear as I’ve tried my best to get it as close to the real thing as possible. • What do you disagree with from your peer feedback? • Looking at the feedback I have been given, I disagree with some points that have been made, the points that I disagree with are, that someone said that the sound of the audio wasn’t completely clean. I feel as if I have tried hard to get this to the highest sounded quality possible and I don’t think I agree with this.
  • 23. Peer Feedback Summary Looking at the peer feedback I have been given, the changes I would make to my product, based upon this is, I would make sure that the sound levels within my audio were at a lower level to make sure the music and actual interview could be heard clearly I would also make sure that I try not to repeat the same words, I think I would also try and film my radio show next time, because looking back at my feedback, I have seen some has said that they feel as if they should be watching a video and seeing the questions that are being asked, I also think that this would be a good idea, because then it would make my audience feel more connected to the show and the conversation. I also would incorporate more sounds where the silences are within my audio. Overall, I am pleased with the responses I have received in regards to my product, and I think my product turned out exactly how I wanted it to, it sounds professional.
