Font Analysis
Everyone ‘s Pop
For my front cover page I want to use the Monotype Corsiva as the
masthead font because I think it looks much more interesting that the
Arial font. I think the Arial font on the right looks quite boring and it looks
very unappetising it also does not stand out. Everyone would be
interested to buy a magazine if the front cover of the font looks
interesting and I think the Calibri makes the writing look much more
attractive and it also makes it stand out.

Font Analysis
This is a liberty legion font and I think this is also a good font because it stands
out a lot. The font is very dark and bold. People would be able to see the
writing from far. The font is also very easy to read so even people who are
older than teenagers can read it and can find it look quite interesting. The font
also makes the logo look much better because the writing looks much neater
than all the other fonts.
Font Analysis for the
Front Page
This is a font called ‘Minnie’. It is a font used in the cartoon programme
Mickey Mouse. I think this font would be suitable because it looks very
interesting. By looking at the font and the style of the font it shows that it
is quite obvious that the magazine is targeted at a young audience. The
font also stands out from far which means that it people from fair will be
able to spot the masthead really quickly.
Double Page Spread
Double Page
Spread
For the double page spread I want to use a different styled font. The font I want
to use is Monotype Corsiva which stand out a lot when you look from far. I have
made the font much bolder as well to make it eye catchy. I think this font will
look really good in the double page spread because it looks unique and
attractive. The font looks interesting and it makes the reader want to read more
of the magazine. The other font used which is Arial Narrow looks very boring
and if I used that in my double page spread no one would want to read the
magazine. It looks unattractive and people may be put off by the font and may
not read the actual context of the magazine.

This font is called ‘Habbo’. This is also a really good font. This font stands out
because it looks as if someone has drawn this themselves so it would make
the readers draw their attention in to the magazine. Some teenagers can also
colour in the masthead if they wanted to. This is why this font is really good
and looks very interesting especially for a young female audience.
Font Analysis for the Double
Page Spread
The fonts used for this magazine is called ‘Hang Board’. The
masthead looks as if each letter is hanging from a board which
makes the whole masthead look more interesting. It will also grab the
audiences attention because it is simple but effective.

Contents Page
Contents Page Contents Page
I am thinking to use the same font I have used in the double page spread so
that every one would be able to look and identify that the magazine is from
the same brand. The main reason why I had chosen this font is because it will
look quite different the style of writing is different so it is not a font that
everyone will see in their everyday life. So i want the magazine to look nice
and unique as possible. I do not like the Calibri (Body) font as it is very simple
and does not look as interesting and is quite boring.
Font Analysis for the
Contents Page
This font is called ‘Happy Killer’. It looks very simple. The font
looks very interesting even though it is a simple text it still
makes it grab the attention of the reader. The font itself looks
very simple if it looked very complicated it would be hard to
read for some people but as the font is simple it makes it
much easier for the audience to read it.
Font Analysis for the
Contents Page
The font I have used for this masthead is called ‘Bubble and Soap’.
This font looks very interesting. It would make the reader think that
the font was written by the actual artists because it looks as if some
one has hand drawn the text. This makes it look much better and
simple. This font is very effective because it is a simple font that
everyone would like and it would draw the attention of the reader
into the magazine.
Masthead
For the masthead I am going to use the ‘Bubble gum’ font this is
because the font is very bold and clear. Readers would be able to
identify what the text says from far because the font stands out from
everything else on the page. The font looks as if it is written by
someone which makes it look very interesting. When people look at
the font they would think that the font was written by the artist
because the font looks very hand drawn. Readers would want to start
drawing letters like that because it looks fun.
Sell Lines
I think I am going to use the font that is called ‘TypoGrpahica’ as
my font for the sell lines because it looks very simple but is effective
at the same time. I think this font would make the sell line look
very interesting. I didn’t want to use any fancy font because it
would look nice on a magazine but I think it would be very hard for
some people to read. Some people may find some words hard to
read and some people can also get put off by the text if it is too
complicated to read.
Main Body of Text
I am going to use the ‘Century Gothic’ font for my main body of
text. This is because this font is very easy to read. It is very simple
and is not written in a complicated or fancy way. The main body
of text is the most important part in the magazine because it is
what everyone will look at. Everyone would want to read the
context in the magazine and it is important that the text is clear
and that the text looks interesting to read. I would have used
other simple fonts but they look very boring and some people
may not want to read information that looks boring. So I wanted
to make sure I chose text that looked interesting and simple.
EDITORS LETTER
I am going to use the sans serif font because it is what the Pop
Magazines normally use for the editors note. This font is very
effective and simple. In the end I am going to sign off my editors
letter using the ‘script’ font. I am mainly going to use this font
because it will look as if I have written the editors note and it will
make the overall editors note look interesting. Most Pop
Magazines use this font because at the end of the editors note it
would look very neat. Readers would think that the editors not
had been handwritten because the font is very neat.
