2. INTRO
The target audience for my magazine is 16-21 year old males
so I had to try and choose a font which is acceptable for this
age and would appeal to them.
For example, a very curly and fancy font would not be ideal for
my magazine because this would be more appealing to young
girls.
I also had to find something very bold as this is going to be the
most important thing on the front cover so needs to stand out
and be in large font size.
3. FONT CHOICE 1
This is the first font which I chose for my magazine front cover.
I believe this font is very suitable for my magazine as it is easy to read and
very bold so it will stand out more.
It is a very standard font and big and thick which suits the target audience
of males aged 16-21 year olds. Bold weights of type can easily establish
authority and that is exactly what it is doing for the Masthead of the
magazine.

4. FONT CHOICE 2
This font uses paint dripping from the letters of the masthead which
suits the target audience of my magazine because Grime is often
associated with crime and looking intimidating and unnerving.
The paint used dripping from the letters is a technique used
primarily by graffiti artists. Graffiti is a big part of crime so features
in a lot of music videos and pictures of grime artists.
However the letters are very curly and look childish and simple so
therefore do not suit my target audience.

5. FONT CHOICE 3
Silver forte grunge
I chose this font because it is curved and therefore looks cartoony so will
appeal to the younger side of our target audience. However it still looks very
official
It is very easy to read which will make it easier for the reader to read. Also it is
very bold so it stands out which is important because it is arguably the most
important thing on the magazine.
In addition, it is simplistic which again makes it easy for the reader to read.
It also has a very artistic design which links to the genre as it is very creative.
