1. Masthead Font Styles
Name: Abigail Ronald
Candidate Number: 2121
Center Name: St. Andrew’s Catholic School
Center Number:64135
2. Font Name: Basic title font
This in one of my fonts that I like to possibly be the font that I use for my music
magazine front cover at is simplistic yet it still looks professional. However, because
this font is so narrow and simplistic I will not be able to use this for my masthead as it
will not stand out enough in order to attract a pass along audience.
For my masthead I will need a bolder font so it attracts people to look at it.
3. Font Name: Big noodle titling
This is also one of my options to use for my magazine as it is very bold.
However, the letters aren't very spaced out so I may struggle to use this.
To make this more suitable so that I could use it for my masthead, I could edit
this on Photoshop and space out the letters to make the text wider and more
bold.
4. Font Name: NEOU
This font would be a good font style to use for my mast head because it is
bold and spaced out which will draw attention to my magazine front cover.
This font is too narrow to be used as the font for the masthead, however I
may use it for the text within the magazine and for the sublines and other
textual features within the magazine.
5. I have decided to go with the font ‘NEOU’. I have chosen this font because it is very
bold which will draw people to the magazine which will broaden the potential
buyers. After giving out my questionnaire I have discovered that most people are
most attracted to a monochrome colour scheme, therefore I am going to make
sure all font is black to fit in with my simplistic monochrome theme.
This font also connotes a professional magazine so they will be entitled to buy it.
This font is also similar to the font that CLASH magazine uses for their masthead,
and as this is my magazine of inspiration I am going for fonts that are remotely
similar to it.
