2. Vtks
Simplizinha
• This font was used on
the skyline of my
magazine.
• I thought it looked
edgy and dark which
fits in with the
horror conventions.
• it also looks
handwritten which
gives a personal feel
to the magazine and
draws the reader in
to reading it.
WRETCHED
REMAINS SB
• This was the font i used
for the masthead of my
magazine ‘fear’.
• The font looks scratched
and quite prominent. This
would make the
magazine title easy to
read and noticeable
whilst also adding to the
conventions of horror
genre.
• The pro-longed extra
features imitates a serif
font which makes the
title look more
important and stand out.
3. DIN CONDENSED• This font was used on the cover lines
of my magazine.
• It is a very bold font but quite
condensed and narrow which allows
the cover lines to be easily read
however also allows for more cover
lines to be put on the page.
IMPACT
• This font was used for the puff and
the bottom coverlid title ‘BONUS!’.
• It is a sans serif font that is very
bold and thick allowing it to stand
out on the page and makes the
reader see the important
information more clearly.
PAHUENGA CASS
• This font was used on the main cover
line for the magazine which was for the
film ‘Premonition’.
• It looks like ink has splattered as well
as slightly edgy. This type of font is
common in horror magazines so thought
it would fit well.
• The font is also very bold and easy to
read allowing for the cover line to stand
out and be the first thing you see on the
page.
