• Manage front desk in surgical services trauma unit; act as first point of contact for
outpatient surgery patients as well as their families; update family members on patient
status from pre-operation to surgery to recovery.
• Enter status changes into online hospital program (EPIC).
• Interview, train and supervise new volunteers (often more than 40 in a season).
• Train volunteers and new employees in EPIC program.
• Liaison for family members between pre-operative, surgery, and post anesthesia.
