As a newly AAMA Certified Medical Assistant with experience in providing clinical assistance to cardiologists
in outpatient settings, it is with great professional enthusiasm I submit my resume for consideration to join
your team as an AAMA Certified Medical Assistant. Given my formal training and past experience in office
administration, I am confident I can make significant contributions to your medical practice and help
sustain its reputation for excellence in patient care. In each of my professional roles, I have delivered
success on a number of initiatives by applying a focused personal integrity and work ethic. Most recently, I
completed an externship at Cardiology Physicians under Dr. Humayun A. Jamidar's guidance. In this role,
I gained great hands-on experience in patient assessments, including using diagnostic tools such as 12-
lead ECG/EKG machines, Holter monitors, and PT/INR meters, to help Dr. Jamidar formulate
individualized plans of care for his patients. In addition to my direct patient experiences, I also helped to
maintain streamlined clinic workflows by maintaining examination rooms, assisting with inventory
management, and managing and updating confidential patient files. As a result of my detailed patient
charting, I was praised for my notes and my ability to clearly communicate patients' needs to all medical
team members. Because of my strong clinical skills and professionalism, I was offered a permanent
position at Cardiology Physicians five days into a six-week externship, which I unfortunately had to
decline due to my husband's job transfer to Fort Myers.
In addition to my clinical skills in medical assisting, I also have a strong background in business and office
administration. Prior to my professional transition into medical assisting, I owned a small financial services
business where I provided individuals, small businesses, and S-corporations with full charge bookkeeping,
accounting, and tax preparation and filing. Additionally, I have experience in working within collaborative
environments as a Media Assistant for Whitney Education Group. In this role, I provided comprehensive
assistance to media buying teams to achieve high-reaching departmental and organizational goals. It is my
goal to apply my newly acquired clinical skills with my successes in administration and business development.
