2. Extra Filming Time
Having got feedback for the music video we came to a decision that we
needed to film some extra shots. Originally this is what was planned on the
production schedule but in December instead of January. This just meant that
we had to reschedule and this filming session will allow us to improve and
hopefully finish a lot of our work with the shots we film. The only issue that
may arise is that the same camera isn't being used to film the shots and
instead a different camera is being used as this was all that was available. The
quality of the clips shouldn’t be deterred by this though as the camera that
will be used will still be of high quality.
3. Extra Editing
In this lesson, I needed to ensure that a lot of editing was completed from the recent
filming session in order to progress the music video further and improve the grade
that was received. This included making a lot of changes to the order of the clips and
making sure that the feedback of the video was appropriately acted upon such as
making sure the narrative made sense. I also realised that some of the clips were a bit
lengthy so decided to cut them up to make it more engaging for someone to watch
and enjoy. I also made sure the effects on each clip were effective, appropriate and
made sense for different situations throughout the video such as making sure that the
flashback clips had lowered opacity, black and white or other colour correction effects
correctly added to them.
4. Editing Finalised
In this lesson I have been able to finish the editing
of the music video. This took me an additional 2
hours on top of the time I had in the previous
lesson. I feel like I’ve been able to improve the
music video from the original draft and have
implemented some new editing techniques having
used Premiere for a certain amount of time. This
means that now the music video is completed I can
move on to other important things such as the
evaluation of my work.
