Production Process Evaluation
Research (Strengths)
• I started my research by analysing some existing products for my product. The first product I analysed was a horror/comedy short film titled
‘The Roommate’ and I found analysing this product helpful for a couple of reasons. The first of which being that I found some of the shot
types that were analysed and could see how they were deployed and used to create feelings of suspense which I could emulate into my
product to try and create the same feelings. The shots that I analysed were the Establishing shot, close up, two shot, long shot and medium
shot and I used all of these in my product so, this was definitely a successful venture for my research. I also analysed the composition of
the short film in an attempt to see if I could take some of these elements into my trailer; I found symmetrical composition in the shot and
deducted that it was meant to relax the audience. This was helpful as I could utilize some composition in my trailer due to the fact that this
research taught me how to do it while creating effect. The next thing I analysed was the soundtrack and this was useful to me as I learned
to see contrasting feelings in film to create tension as creepy music was playing while a shot of a house was seen. I copied this and tried to
do this for my own establishing shot to create the same kind of discomfort so I can say that this aspect was also very useful. I think that the
main thing I learned from this trailer was that horror films attempt to create feelings of discomfort and paranoia by using contrasting
aspects such as the house and music I mentioned. The analysis of props and clothing helped me to understand the typical use of clothing in
horror films which led me to plan for this later on as well. I also learned that comedy can be applied by making fun of stereotypes within
horror films as well as adding a character that serves as the source of the comedy. The next product I analysed was a horror/comedy trailer
from a professional film and I simply learned the same things that I did from the previous product however, the only reason that I decided
to analyse a trailer was because I was stuck between whether or not I wanted to do a short film or trailer. Despite this, I learned how to
apply a variety of colours to my product while utilizing their meanings and this was further boosted up by the research I conducted on the
mood board as a part of my initial plans. Using this knowledge I applied the connotations of colours to my product to create some
symbolism so, it was definitely very helpful in the long run. The trailer had also taught me how a trailer is properly structured by the use of
text frames and L and J shots to create links between the shots that were otherwise, completely separated. I also learned some more
compositional techniques such as the triangles and diagonals, negative space etc. This was followed up in my audience research where I
made questions asking my audience what they liked and disliked about each aspect of horror/comedy films and this came out with a lot of
nice answers that really helped to lush my product plan forward as well as helping me develop some new ideas for my final product. The
audience research for my proposal may have been slightly tedious but, I was still able to look at what types of audience might enjoy my
product. Whether they are old, young, live in a nice house or if they don’t; this research into the market audience helped me to develop my
product as I could see which market audience would enjoy my product and add a few tweaks to develop it further in a way that appeals to
that audience. I had some difficulty with adding this to overall product but, it wasn’t anything too major nor was it a problem in the long
run when creating my product as I already had a solid idea on what my product looked like. My research into the DVD covers also gave me
a nice idea on how to design the Box art as I analysed each and every aspect of the DVD covers; the titles and their location/colour, how
the images on the front were set up, how the colour represents certain parts of the product and how the overall layout of the DVD cover is
structured to make reading and looking at it more comfortable.
Research (Weaknesses)
• The weaknesses of my research are mainly from the existing product research when I did not analyse a poster which
was one of the components of my product from the beginning and it was removed due to time issues earlier in the
project. This impacted my poster as I wasn’t able to develop my poster properly and the lack of proper analysis
confused me at first but, I was able to make the poster work by studying products outside of this to get an idea of
where to put each individual part of poster so in the end, it did not effect my product that much. If I had done this then
maybe my poster would have looked much more professional and would maintain a lot of its audience appeal as well
as saving me some time further down the road when making the poster as I would have known what to do and how to
design it properly. Another weakness to my research was that I didn’t really end up using any of the composition in my
trailer as, I didn’t know where to put it in or, more like, I didn’t add it in to my storyboard plans or shot list so, a lot of
the composition is un-intentional which means that a lot of the meaning and symbolism has not being included which
has quite severely effected my product in a bad way however, it still works and I am happy enough with it even if it
could have been better. Of course, my product would have been much better quality wise with the use of the
composition but, there is nothing we can do about that now. Another major weakness for my project was that my
project didn’t make proper use of some of the research that I had conducted and this was mainly due to the lack of
time and some resources so, some of it had to be removed from my project entirely which did effect my audience
appeal somewhat. The element that had to be removed from my research was the blood and gore as I didn't want the
product to be marketed as an 18 which is more of the technical reason whereas the real reason would be that getting
my hands on red dye that isn’t permanent would be difficult. I didn’t find any real weaknesses with my proposal as it
was pretty much spot on what I wanted for the product as well as what the product turned out to be.
Planning (Strengths)• The first thing that I started with on planning was initial plans and this included the development of the mind maps and the mood board; the framework
for my product, and the initial reaction to the product. The initial reaction was helpful as I could begin to think about the skills that I have picked up
throughout the year as well as giving me the time to develop my product properly. The next part of my initial plans was the mind maps which helped
me to develop my product by going over some initial ideas that I had about my product. I started with 3 small ideas and took the idea that I liked and
developed it into 1 mind map with the idea that I wanted to run with. This was especially helpful when you take into account the fact that I included the
plot for the short film, the poster and box art covers for each, the music used, the location, the props and the characters that were going to be in it. The
final mind map had me develop my idea further by going into more depth with each aspect that I mentioned along with the addition of tone and mood,
software, equipment, audience, marketing, cast list, shot list, mise-en-scene ideas and a mini schedule that I added to plan my product further. All of
this was very helpful to my product overall and it was definitely a major asset with planning out the basic concepts of my product. I followed this up
with the addition of 3 mood boards instead of three so, I could have a look at all both horror and comedy as a separate medium followed by both of
them put together. I analysed 15 images for each and went over the colours, composition and mise-en-scene, to list a few, for each. This was definitely
very helpful as I could have a look at the more symbolic meanings of each product which was definitely very helpful as I could plan to have these be part
of my product and I did use the colours I learned from the research very effectively in my product. Moving onto the experiments, I started by creating a
mock short film, mock poster and a mock DVD Cover for my product which was finished off by a full analysis of all 3 in the experiment reflection
PowerPoint. The strengths of the experiments were that I was able to create a mock design, using some of the skills that I have learned along with skills
that I developed of the course of the experiments, and was able to reflect on them without a lot of difficulty and I was able to take the strengths and
weaknesses of each in an attempt to develop my main product and it worked, to some extent. After this I started on my pre-production with the
analysis of the colours that I planned on using for my project and these were helpful because I could use them for my project and I applied some of
them to the project however, I couldn't apply all of them to the product. The colours I planned on using were mostly brown with some blues and reds
however, I only used red and blue so, this counts as a weakness somewhat. After this I began analysing the image styles for 27 images; 9 of which
belonged to film shots, another 9 for posters and the following 9 for DVD Covers. I went into more detail when discussing the composition and the mise-
en-scene as I hadn't really gone into much detail on this for the mood boards. This was helpful because I was able to think about and develop my
products by looking at what makes each of these professional so, I could make use of some of the shots for use in the trailer, box art and poster. This
was followed by the finding and analysis of fonts to use in my product and I found over 44 fonts but, to save time I only analysed 9 however, I found
these fonts to be my favourite out of all of them so, I believe that I had made the right choice when analysing them. I also made use of 4 of them in my
product so, they were definitely useful to analyse these ones. I also made 5 storyboards and these go over all of the plot that I wanted my product to
have. This was useful as I was able to finalize my story for my product while also listing some of the shots that I want in each segment of the film and it
was the main template that I used while filming as it makes for a good visual reminder. After this I created some layouts for what I wanted my poster
and DVD cover to look like, at least a template of them. This was helpful to me because I was able to design a template for me to use should I get
confused as to what a poster or DVD cover looks like while making this product. I followed this up with various health and safety, contingency forms,
resource plans etc. to help plan out the location, equipment and medical procedures should this all go wrong when filming or when an injury occurs.
These were fairly useful for my product as it helped me to think about any props or locations I may need write before filming the trailer, just in case I
had forgotten it. I ended it with a script and shot list for me to use so, my product is not improvised but, at least has something to go off of should I get
stuck with any wording or with the shots in general. My proposal overall was very helpful as I was able to list down the skills that developed over the
course of the year as well as finalize the story concept for my trailer.
Planning (Weaknesses)
• The weaknesses of my mind maps were that it felt like I didn't have enough information on my products for them to develop properly so, I
was a little uneasy about it throughout some of this project. This could have been improved by adding some more detail into certain areas
or by adding some more things to plan out like, planning the poster and box art in more depth. The weaknesses of my mood board were
that there was far too much detail and this severely effected my time management for this project however, this is the only suitable
weakness that I found for it as the detail did help develop my product further. Then again, I didn't go into much detail with some of the
composition and mise-en-scene for the mood boards which is a flaw yet, I did in the pre-production so, it didn't hinder me that much. The
weaknesses for the experiments were that, as mentioned in the experiment reflection, I ended designing the short film to be a comedy
rather a horror/comedy which made it pretty difficult to learn from it. Despite this, it did prove to be a valuable lesson to me and I was able
to get the theme right in the final trailer. The colour analysis in the pre-production was definitely very weak to me as I didn’t actually use
the colours I said I would due to how difficult it was to apply a lot of brown and at the same time, the fact that my mood board was
compromised of mostly brown in the first place is definitely a weakness. This could have been improved by using a more wide variety of
dark and light colours/different colours. This would have effected my product because the wider variety of colours can help to increase my
colour palette which, increases my choice of colour and it would have effected my product as, it would have meant that more colours
would have been available to pick for my trailer, box art and poster. My font analysis could have improved by analysing one or two more
fonts however, this is more of a nit-pick rather than an actual complaint and this may have led to another font being used or even a
different font being used entirely. The weaknesses of my image styles were that I could have gone into more detail with the analysis and
this could have led to some more mise-en-scene or composition being added to my project. Another point about the image styles would be
that I didn't use some of the composition that I picked up here which is a shame and is definitely a strong weakness for my pre-production.
Actually taking the composition and mise-en-scene into account would have made my product more professional looking in the long run. I
found no weakness with the storyboards other than the fact that the drawings could have been done better but, this would not have
directly effected my product in any way. The layouts on the other hand were a bit too comedic and come across as making fun however,
this isn’t really that much of an issue in the long run. They could have been designed a little better though. The other elements of my pre-
production and my proposal don’t really need to be improved as I feel that all of them are pretty effective at portraying the plans that I
have for my project an they helped with my product in the long run.
Time Management
• My time management was admittedly all over the place from the start. My initial plans went all right but it wasn’t done by the end of the first week even though we
should have moved onto the research stage by this time so already, some problems have begun to pop up. The reaction was filled with far too much detail which could
be one of the reasons why I fell behind at this stage; despite the reaction only requiring a few sentences/a small paragraph, I ended up writing a whole page out with a
font size of 8 which may seem impressive but, it has led me to fall behind on the first week and even the first day. After the initial reaction we jumped straight into the
mind maps which had us develop three mind maps each with a potential idea for our products and a final one further developing the idea we have picked. I didn't
spend as much time on this part of initial plans as they are only basic ideas so, I caught up slightly on this stage although my final mind map became quite detailed
which still led to a loss of time and ultimately, me falling behind again. The mood boards definitely killed my time management during the first week; I ended up doing
three different mood boards on Comedy, Horror and Comedy/Horror just so I could analyse the colours, composition and shot types properly for my own product
however, I did it in far too much detail and this left me with no time during the first week and I didn't finish it properly until the last weeks where I finally finished the
last parts of the mood board and wrapped it up for good. The second stage was also handled pretty poorly as well; my research wasn’t finished by the end of the
second week which again, is largely due to the copious amounts of work on my existing products section as once again, I ended up writing too much and going into a
lot of depth to where it may even be considered unneeded or useless to me. Despite this I found that this much detail did actually help me a great deal when designing
my product so, I can consider this detail to be useful but, this still effected my time management a fair bit. After this, I moved onto the surveys and tried to begin
researching my target audience by asking ten questions that would help my product. This didn't take up too much time as the question were fairly easy to design and
Survey Monkey is also a simple and understandable sight which made this process much quicker, this led me to catch up slightly as well though, I wasn’t able to
complete this part of the project until a but later on where I had acquired all of the results I needed and this is where I could actually start to analyse and take the
results in. After this was the interviews where I asked five people five questions to help give me an idea on what people wanted to see; this was far more of a face to
face questionnaire compared to the survey. This also did not take a whole lot of time to make either as all I had to do was design a simple questionnaire and get some
responses from my peers which led to a simple analysis and breakdown of their answers to get some influence for my final product. After this was the experiments
which I believe I did ok on when it comes to time management as I was able to keep up when designing each part of the experiments, whether it was either premiere
or Photoshop, I was able to keep up with designing my products and did well with them however, the reflection slide for this did take some time to complete and it
wasn’t fully done until the 8th week where I finished off the rest of the experiment reflection; not very good here with my time management. My proposal on the other
hand was in slightly late as we were getting to the point where my pre-production needed to be sorted out so, I got the audience and skills done and moved onto pre-
production so this wasn’t handled very well either and the evaluation and project concept were not finished until much later either. The pre-production did sort of fall
a part a bit as I was only able to get the colours, fonts, layouts and storyboards that I wanted down and the other parts were left for a little bit later when I could finish
them as I knew I wouldn’t be able to get it all finished in time so, I focused on what is important and left the more unimportant stuff like the health and safety for a bit
later so, I managed my time here as best as possible though, it still led to me not getting it done until later. My production went well as I was able to finish all of my
production work on time despite having one less week compared to everyone else to make it so, I am fairly happy with the way that turned out as a whole. My
production reflection was somewhat filled in as I went along, I filled in the processes with images and made some notes on what to write for later and even filled some
of these slides in as I went through although, it wasn’t finished as of when I went through the evaluation and I plan on doing that in my spare time I do believe that my
project could have done better with extra time as I would have actually handed the work in while being able to write the detail that I feel most comfortable writing.
Even if the change may still have resulted in me falling behind, its safe to say that it still would have been done only, the stress would have been less and would have
made it easier to cope with. I could also have done a couple more posters for my product as well as most films may have multiple posters to go along with it and
maybe even design a short film rather than a trailer as the only reason I did not make a short film was because I was short for time and was paranoid that the short
film would not be finished on time.
Production Analysis And Product
Comparison
(Trailer)
Trailer Technical Qualities
Shots
My Trailer:
- Establishing Shot
- Close up Shot
- Medium Shot
- Long Shot
- Two Shot
- Pan
Professional trailer
- Establishing Shot
- Close up Shot
- Medium Shot
- Long Shot
- Two Shot
- Dutch Angle
- Aerial Shot
- Pan
Both trailers make use of the establishing shot to establish the
location of the film/scene. They also use make use of the close-up
shot to bring attention to elements of the scene e.g. face, prop etc.
Both trailers also use the medium shot so the both the characters
and the mise-en-scene can be seen. They also make use of the
Long shot to show all of the characters body and the mise-en-
scene in the first frame. Both trailers make use of the two shot to
show the relationship between the characters. The pan which is
used to gradually incorporate elements of the mise-en-scene and
composition over time. The professional trailer on the other hand
utilizes the Dutch angle to disorientate the audience and make
them fell discomfort, an aerial shot which acts an establishing shot
to help the audience get there bearings on the location of the
scene or film/helps them to understand it better.
Music
The music used in the professional trailer is a
horror styled yet, it doesn’t seem to have
been designed to necessarily scare the
audience which is different compared to
mine which makes use of high and low tones
to create tension due to the confusing nature
of the music.
Colours
My Trailer
- Red
- White
- Black
- Brown
- Beige
- Blue
- Grey
Professional Trailer
- Red
- White
- Purple
- Brown
- Beige
- Blue
- Green
- Black
Both Trailers use the colours Red, White, Black,
Brown, Beige and blue for foreshadowing and
symbolism based on their meanings. My trailer
has grey as an extra colour though, this is largely
due to clothing. The professional trailer has
purple and green to symbolize both death as well
as relaxation respectively. The professional
trailer makes better use of the connotations of
colour compared to my trailer
Structure
My trailer and the professional trailers
structure are somewhat similar to each
other as both of them use fades and text
frames to help market the film based on
the company who made it or the actors
who star in it. Both trailers are also
structured in a way that makes the
product appear in non-chronological
order to help disorientate or make the
film a mystery to the audience. The main
title also appears at around the same
point; after a potential jump scare and
before a comedic moment in the trailer.
The music also gets more tense as the
trailer reaches its climax. Location
Both of them take place in a house
and in a local neighbourhood.
Props & Clothing
My Trailer
- Mask
- Knife
- Casual wear
- Coat
Professional trailer
- Headphones
- Glasses
- Hat
- Priest robes
- Gimp suit
- Bandana
- Casual clothing
- Pyjamas
- Smart attire
The props and attire in my trailer
aren’t really a big factor of it and
blend in too much with the trailer
with the exception of the mask.
Meanwhile, the other product uses
the props much more than mine
and they are in a much larger
abundance as well. This makes the
trailer much more professional and
also makes the actors seem like a
different person which is the point
of acting in the first place.
Composition & Mise-En-Scene
My trailer utilizes this unintentionally so, mine
technically doesn’t use any form of composition or any
effective mise-en-scene at all.
The Professional Trailer
- Symmetrical Composition
- Dynamic Composition
- Triangles and diagonals
- Negative space
- Fill the frame
- Artificial lighting
- Ambient lighting
The professional trailer makes use of symmetrical
composition to create a calming effect for the audience.
Dynamic on the other hand directly contrasts this.
Triangles and diagonals is used to create the feeling of
instability as the triangles are irregular triangles and are
designed in a weird way due to the angle of the shot on
the stair case. The next composite shot is negative
space which leaves a lot of space in the shot, this is
seen when they are laying down in bed and the
negative pace is used with the door/creates tension as
something may pop through at any moment. Fill the
frame is used on the scene where the character is
listening to music unbeknownst to the screams of his
wife. This composition is used to get the least amount
of negative space possible so, the focus is on the
characters instead. The artificial and ambient lighting is
used to create the effect that the light is purely natural
and only on screen/used to make the scene more
immersive which adds to the post-paranoia effect
Trailer Aesthetic Qualities
In terms of whether my product looks good; I'm more split on this. The visuals for the
trailer do look really nice and I thought as much when the visuals were finished; I liked
how the transitions were pretty smooth throughout the trailer and how well the text
frames seemingly fit in throughout the trailer. This is also viable when you include the
use of the non-chronological order of events to make the trailer feel more like a an
actual trailer and not a poorly crafted short film that was designed horribly and is
explained as a short film instead. Other than this, the audio for the trailer does not
work well at all and this is mainly because I lacked the time to actually make the audio
sync in properly with the film however, the voice lines were the exception to this as I
was able to get them to work fairly well despite prior issues with the way the voice
over's were recorded. Summarised, this means that some elements I found to be good
whereas some others were bad. I failed to make proper use of composition and mise-
en-scene as well and this definitely serves as quite a big weakness for my product/ it
was in fact creative and this mostly comes from the concept/plot of the story as it is rather unique and cant really be found anywhere else. I
also like to believe that the use of this particular genre was creative as it is something that a lot of people would not have done due to its
difficulty which, does come across as a reason as to why my product really did struggle nearer the end and is a valid weakness. Other than
this, nothing else was really that creative about it. The aspects of my trailers visuals that I like are the use of the colour grading which, while
it could have been done better, it definitely did help to set the mood of the product and make the trailer appear far more miserable. I also
like to believe that I made great use of some of the shot types because, the way the shots were used to establish the relationship between
the characters and how the shots were used to bring emphasis on some of the important aspects of the film did please me when it was
done. The artificial lighting did help somewhat with the way some of the more happier moments are portrayed though this is ruined by the
obvious use of colour grading which did make it far more miserable in some areas. Despite this, the scene where Stan and Tahmid are on the
sofa does make the lighting look ok as the Tahmid is shown in the light where as the killer in the background is shown in the shadows as a
way to symbolize their personalities and how mysterious the killer and his intentions are. In terms of what I would improve, this would
definitely be the audio because of how bad the soundtrack is and how some of the lip syncing doesn’t work well at all; this really bothers me
and if it were better, the product would definitely be far more professional and help keep the audience engaged throughout. I would improve
the audio by spending some more time in garage band to make a soundtrack that is actually decent or, stick with royalty free music to take
some strain off of my shoulders. The use of actual mise-en-scene and composition would also definitely help my product become much
better because I can build tension throughout the trailer while utilizing these items.
Trailer Audience AppealAge
Luckily, I did in fact appeal to my target
audience via age fairly well. The trailer does not
use any blood so, it cant possibly be an 18
however, the use of dark, mature themes does
make it a 15 I do believe which is what I had
intended it to be. The comedy is somewhat
subtle so, I may have given the impression that
it is more for mature audiences which is what
my intention was however, it has come across as
rather obvious like marvels sense of humour so,
the comedy is a bit more childish, especially
considering the fact that the comedy itself is
quite childish.
Psychographics
- Belongers
- Explorers
- Strugglers
- Mainstream
I have appealed to the belongers somewhat as I have
tried to keep the product attached to the
comedy/horror genre though, the comedy isn't as
pronounced due to the color gradient and music that
is used. It still came out as a horror/comedy product
though so, I do believe that I have appealed to this
audience successfully. I'm not sure if I have appealed
to the explorers as the trailer may not be interesting
enough to appeal to this audience due to the lack of
professionality. Strugglers on the other hand may not
be able to relate to the struggle of the characters as it
wasn’t really pronounced in this trailer so, they may
not understand the characters struggle. Main stream
audiences were more of a side psychographic but
because of the way they think and how I haven't
really appealed to some of my other psychographics, I
don’t think I have appealed to this audience either.
Gender
In terms of gender, I do believe that I have
appealed to my target audience in this regard
as the main characters are all male which
makes the film more relatable to male. This is
strengthened by the fact that I make strong
use of blue and red which are colours that
have more masculine properties then female
ones. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to sneak in
any themes that appeal to women so, it
doesn't really appeal to women
unfortunately.
Social Status
I did believe I have appealed to this
audience because the location the trailer
is set in is a casual home and this goes
hand in hand with the casual clothing as
well. The social status that I wanted to
appeal to is BC1C2 as these are the
majority of the audience and for the
reasons I have already established; I
have appealed to this audience
Research/Survey
When taking the survey results into account, I did
keep my promise to some of them like how I made
it appeal to more males and made it more dark and
gritty etc. However, the tension that I should have
used was not added very well and falls on its head. I
also could not add the blood and gore because of
the lack of resources and time to get some of these
props. I did however keep my promise with the
name of the product and having the film focus more
on the horror compared to the comedy.
Research/Interviews
When looking at the interviews, I did make the plot
concept cohesive although this was not shown in the
trailer because it is a trailer. To be honest, a lot of
these developments were on the plot concept for the
trailer and half of it couldn't be shown due to the fact
it is a trailer and having the trailer reveal all of its plot
points makes it bad.
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The poster is quite creepy which I like as it fits the context of the
film well. I also like that one of the other posters is quite
mysterious as you can’t really make out what is in the shadows
which makes me want to watch the film and found out what it
is. I also like that the cover for the movie is quite mysterious as
this makes me want to see it more.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– I think that on the dark poster the brightness could have been
increased as it is really hard to see anything at all in the image
and may leave someone thinking that it is just a black photo.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
I like the simplicity of the posters and the DvD box, it makes the films plot and
main villain more mysterious and indices me to watch the film.
I like the simple colour scheme that only uses reds, mild yellows and oranges to
contrast the black.
The poster and the covers images and dark themes are consistent and make the
film seem more professional.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
The font used in the title of the poster with the mask on is different. The font and
colour contrasts with the other content and makes the poster not seem relatable
to the film. The font used in the mask poster works well but needs to be constant
in my opinion
The DVD cover and one of the posters are too dark to see on the screen and will
likely not be visible when printed out.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like the whole dark suspension theme. I think I prefer the weird
dark face blob cover instead of the other one. It’s more creepy
and you can see a lot more of it too especially the text. With this
dvd cover, I think is really good because of the colour of the text
but it could be more red. The font suits the cover.
• What improvements could have been made to the
product?
– On the dvd cover, you can’t really see the image on the front. I
think the dvd cover is quite dark but still effective. You can’t
read the writing at the top, maybe change the colour?
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
– I don’t actually agree with my peer feedback at all due to the fact that they decided to review
the experiments instead and I don’t have time to change it. They did however review the
poster and they did say that the colour matches the product and the font fits the poster really
well. They also mentioned that the mask on the product is fairly creepy whish is what I had
intended and this is definitely a good sign
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
- The fact that they decided to review my experiments although, they did compliment them a fair bit
so, this is the only thing that I disagree with from my feedback. They did mention that they couldn't
really see the character on the experiment box art which kind of is the point so they don’t quite
understand the mystery elements of the experiments
• What changes would you make to your product based upon your peer feedback and
why?
- I don’t think I would really change my experiments that much because they are tests
however, I can take from this that I should add the products in to other parts of the blog
instead. I should also have left myself with more time to change the feedback as well. The
problem that I believe is a major issue for my product is just the audio and I can improve this
by giving myself some more time to create audio that’s good enough to cat as the
foundations for the products emotional balance.

7. evaluation

  • 3. Research (Strengths) • I started my research by analysing some existing products for my product. The first product I analysed was a horror/comedy short film titled ‘The Roommate’ and I found analysing this product helpful for a couple of reasons. The first of which being that I found some of the shot types that were analysed and could see how they were deployed and used to create feelings of suspense which I could emulate into my product to try and create the same feelings. The shots that I analysed were the Establishing shot, close up, two shot, long shot and medium shot and I used all of these in my product so, this was definitely a successful venture for my research. I also analysed the composition of the short film in an attempt to see if I could take some of these elements into my trailer; I found symmetrical composition in the shot and deducted that it was meant to relax the audience. This was helpful as I could utilize some composition in my trailer due to the fact that this research taught me how to do it while creating effect. The next thing I analysed was the soundtrack and this was useful to me as I learned to see contrasting feelings in film to create tension as creepy music was playing while a shot of a house was seen. I copied this and tried to do this for my own establishing shot to create the same kind of discomfort so I can say that this aspect was also very useful. I think that the main thing I learned from this trailer was that horror films attempt to create feelings of discomfort and paranoia by using contrasting aspects such as the house and music I mentioned. The analysis of props and clothing helped me to understand the typical use of clothing in horror films which led me to plan for this later on as well. I also learned that comedy can be applied by making fun of stereotypes within horror films as well as adding a character that serves as the source of the comedy. The next product I analysed was a horror/comedy trailer from a professional film and I simply learned the same things that I did from the previous product however, the only reason that I decided to analyse a trailer was because I was stuck between whether or not I wanted to do a short film or trailer. Despite this, I learned how to apply a variety of colours to my product while utilizing their meanings and this was further boosted up by the research I conducted on the mood board as a part of my initial plans. Using this knowledge I applied the connotations of colours to my product to create some symbolism so, it was definitely very helpful in the long run. The trailer had also taught me how a trailer is properly structured by the use of text frames and L and J shots to create links between the shots that were otherwise, completely separated. I also learned some more compositional techniques such as the triangles and diagonals, negative space etc. This was followed up in my audience research where I made questions asking my audience what they liked and disliked about each aspect of horror/comedy films and this came out with a lot of nice answers that really helped to lush my product plan forward as well as helping me develop some new ideas for my final product. The audience research for my proposal may have been slightly tedious but, I was still able to look at what types of audience might enjoy my product. Whether they are old, young, live in a nice house or if they don’t; this research into the market audience helped me to develop my product as I could see which market audience would enjoy my product and add a few tweaks to develop it further in a way that appeals to that audience. I had some difficulty with adding this to overall product but, it wasn’t anything too major nor was it a problem in the long run when creating my product as I already had a solid idea on what my product looked like. My research into the DVD covers also gave me a nice idea on how to design the Box art as I analysed each and every aspect of the DVD covers; the titles and their location/colour, how the images on the front were set up, how the colour represents certain parts of the product and how the overall layout of the DVD cover is structured to make reading and looking at it more comfortable.
  • 4. Research (Weaknesses) • The weaknesses of my research are mainly from the existing product research when I did not analyse a poster which was one of the components of my product from the beginning and it was removed due to time issues earlier in the project. This impacted my poster as I wasn’t able to develop my poster properly and the lack of proper analysis confused me at first but, I was able to make the poster work by studying products outside of this to get an idea of where to put each individual part of poster so in the end, it did not effect my product that much. If I had done this then maybe my poster would have looked much more professional and would maintain a lot of its audience appeal as well as saving me some time further down the road when making the poster as I would have known what to do and how to design it properly. Another weakness to my research was that I didn’t really end up using any of the composition in my trailer as, I didn’t know where to put it in or, more like, I didn’t add it in to my storyboard plans or shot list so, a lot of the composition is un-intentional which means that a lot of the meaning and symbolism has not being included which has quite severely effected my product in a bad way however, it still works and I am happy enough with it even if it could have been better. Of course, my product would have been much better quality wise with the use of the composition but, there is nothing we can do about that now. Another major weakness for my project was that my project didn’t make proper use of some of the research that I had conducted and this was mainly due to the lack of time and some resources so, some of it had to be removed from my project entirely which did effect my audience appeal somewhat. The element that had to be removed from my research was the blood and gore as I didn't want the product to be marketed as an 18 which is more of the technical reason whereas the real reason would be that getting my hands on red dye that isn’t permanent would be difficult. I didn’t find any real weaknesses with my proposal as it was pretty much spot on what I wanted for the product as well as what the product turned out to be.
  • 5. Planning (Strengths)• The first thing that I started with on planning was initial plans and this included the development of the mind maps and the mood board; the framework for my product, and the initial reaction to the product. The initial reaction was helpful as I could begin to think about the skills that I have picked up throughout the year as well as giving me the time to develop my product properly. The next part of my initial plans was the mind maps which helped me to develop my product by going over some initial ideas that I had about my product. I started with 3 small ideas and took the idea that I liked and developed it into 1 mind map with the idea that I wanted to run with. This was especially helpful when you take into account the fact that I included the plot for the short film, the poster and box art covers for each, the music used, the location, the props and the characters that were going to be in it. The final mind map had me develop my idea further by going into more depth with each aspect that I mentioned along with the addition of tone and mood, software, equipment, audience, marketing, cast list, shot list, mise-en-scene ideas and a mini schedule that I added to plan my product further. All of this was very helpful to my product overall and it was definitely a major asset with planning out the basic concepts of my product. I followed this up with the addition of 3 mood boards instead of three so, I could have a look at all both horror and comedy as a separate medium followed by both of them put together. I analysed 15 images for each and went over the colours, composition and mise-en-scene, to list a few, for each. This was definitely very helpful as I could have a look at the more symbolic meanings of each product which was definitely very helpful as I could plan to have these be part of my product and I did use the colours I learned from the research very effectively in my product. Moving onto the experiments, I started by creating a mock short film, mock poster and a mock DVD Cover for my product which was finished off by a full analysis of all 3 in the experiment reflection PowerPoint. The strengths of the experiments were that I was able to create a mock design, using some of the skills that I have learned along with skills that I developed of the course of the experiments, and was able to reflect on them without a lot of difficulty and I was able to take the strengths and weaknesses of each in an attempt to develop my main product and it worked, to some extent. After this I started on my pre-production with the analysis of the colours that I planned on using for my project and these were helpful because I could use them for my project and I applied some of them to the project however, I couldn't apply all of them to the product. The colours I planned on using were mostly brown with some blues and reds however, I only used red and blue so, this counts as a weakness somewhat. After this I began analysing the image styles for 27 images; 9 of which belonged to film shots, another 9 for posters and the following 9 for DVD Covers. I went into more detail when discussing the composition and the mise- en-scene as I hadn't really gone into much detail on this for the mood boards. This was helpful because I was able to think about and develop my products by looking at what makes each of these professional so, I could make use of some of the shots for use in the trailer, box art and poster. This was followed by the finding and analysis of fonts to use in my product and I found over 44 fonts but, to save time I only analysed 9 however, I found these fonts to be my favourite out of all of them so, I believe that I had made the right choice when analysing them. I also made use of 4 of them in my product so, they were definitely useful to analyse these ones. I also made 5 storyboards and these go over all of the plot that I wanted my product to have. This was useful as I was able to finalize my story for my product while also listing some of the shots that I want in each segment of the film and it was the main template that I used while filming as it makes for a good visual reminder. After this I created some layouts for what I wanted my poster and DVD cover to look like, at least a template of them. This was helpful to me because I was able to design a template for me to use should I get confused as to what a poster or DVD cover looks like while making this product. I followed this up with various health and safety, contingency forms, resource plans etc. to help plan out the location, equipment and medical procedures should this all go wrong when filming or when an injury occurs. These were fairly useful for my product as it helped me to think about any props or locations I may need write before filming the trailer, just in case I had forgotten it. I ended it with a script and shot list for me to use so, my product is not improvised but, at least has something to go off of should I get stuck with any wording or with the shots in general. My proposal overall was very helpful as I was able to list down the skills that developed over the course of the year as well as finalize the story concept for my trailer.
  • 6. Planning (Weaknesses) • The weaknesses of my mind maps were that it felt like I didn't have enough information on my products for them to develop properly so, I was a little uneasy about it throughout some of this project. This could have been improved by adding some more detail into certain areas or by adding some more things to plan out like, planning the poster and box art in more depth. The weaknesses of my mood board were that there was far too much detail and this severely effected my time management for this project however, this is the only suitable weakness that I found for it as the detail did help develop my product further. Then again, I didn't go into much detail with some of the composition and mise-en-scene for the mood boards which is a flaw yet, I did in the pre-production so, it didn't hinder me that much. The weaknesses for the experiments were that, as mentioned in the experiment reflection, I ended designing the short film to be a comedy rather a horror/comedy which made it pretty difficult to learn from it. Despite this, it did prove to be a valuable lesson to me and I was able to get the theme right in the final trailer. The colour analysis in the pre-production was definitely very weak to me as I didn’t actually use the colours I said I would due to how difficult it was to apply a lot of brown and at the same time, the fact that my mood board was compromised of mostly brown in the first place is definitely a weakness. This could have been improved by using a more wide variety of dark and light colours/different colours. This would have effected my product because the wider variety of colours can help to increase my colour palette which, increases my choice of colour and it would have effected my product as, it would have meant that more colours would have been available to pick for my trailer, box art and poster. My font analysis could have improved by analysing one or two more fonts however, this is more of a nit-pick rather than an actual complaint and this may have led to another font being used or even a different font being used entirely. The weaknesses of my image styles were that I could have gone into more detail with the analysis and this could have led to some more mise-en-scene or composition being added to my project. Another point about the image styles would be that I didn't use some of the composition that I picked up here which is a shame and is definitely a strong weakness for my pre-production. Actually taking the composition and mise-en-scene into account would have made my product more professional looking in the long run. I found no weakness with the storyboards other than the fact that the drawings could have been done better but, this would not have directly effected my product in any way. The layouts on the other hand were a bit too comedic and come across as making fun however, this isn’t really that much of an issue in the long run. They could have been designed a little better though. The other elements of my pre- production and my proposal don’t really need to be improved as I feel that all of them are pretty effective at portraying the plans that I have for my project an they helped with my product in the long run.
  • 7. Time Management • My time management was admittedly all over the place from the start. My initial plans went all right but it wasn’t done by the end of the first week even though we should have moved onto the research stage by this time so already, some problems have begun to pop up. The reaction was filled with far too much detail which could be one of the reasons why I fell behind at this stage; despite the reaction only requiring a few sentences/a small paragraph, I ended up writing a whole page out with a font size of 8 which may seem impressive but, it has led me to fall behind on the first week and even the first day. After the initial reaction we jumped straight into the mind maps which had us develop three mind maps each with a potential idea for our products and a final one further developing the idea we have picked. I didn't spend as much time on this part of initial plans as they are only basic ideas so, I caught up slightly on this stage although my final mind map became quite detailed which still led to a loss of time and ultimately, me falling behind again. The mood boards definitely killed my time management during the first week; I ended up doing three different mood boards on Comedy, Horror and Comedy/Horror just so I could analyse the colours, composition and shot types properly for my own product however, I did it in far too much detail and this left me with no time during the first week and I didn't finish it properly until the last weeks where I finally finished the last parts of the mood board and wrapped it up for good. The second stage was also handled pretty poorly as well; my research wasn’t finished by the end of the second week which again, is largely due to the copious amounts of work on my existing products section as once again, I ended up writing too much and going into a lot of depth to where it may even be considered unneeded or useless to me. Despite this I found that this much detail did actually help me a great deal when designing my product so, I can consider this detail to be useful but, this still effected my time management a fair bit. After this, I moved onto the surveys and tried to begin researching my target audience by asking ten questions that would help my product. This didn't take up too much time as the question were fairly easy to design and Survey Monkey is also a simple and understandable sight which made this process much quicker, this led me to catch up slightly as well though, I wasn’t able to complete this part of the project until a but later on where I had acquired all of the results I needed and this is where I could actually start to analyse and take the results in. After this was the interviews where I asked five people five questions to help give me an idea on what people wanted to see; this was far more of a face to face questionnaire compared to the survey. This also did not take a whole lot of time to make either as all I had to do was design a simple questionnaire and get some responses from my peers which led to a simple analysis and breakdown of their answers to get some influence for my final product. After this was the experiments which I believe I did ok on when it comes to time management as I was able to keep up when designing each part of the experiments, whether it was either premiere or Photoshop, I was able to keep up with designing my products and did well with them however, the reflection slide for this did take some time to complete and it wasn’t fully done until the 8th week where I finished off the rest of the experiment reflection; not very good here with my time management. My proposal on the other hand was in slightly late as we were getting to the point where my pre-production needed to be sorted out so, I got the audience and skills done and moved onto pre- production so this wasn’t handled very well either and the evaluation and project concept were not finished until much later either. The pre-production did sort of fall a part a bit as I was only able to get the colours, fonts, layouts and storyboards that I wanted down and the other parts were left for a little bit later when I could finish them as I knew I wouldn’t be able to get it all finished in time so, I focused on what is important and left the more unimportant stuff like the health and safety for a bit later so, I managed my time here as best as possible though, it still led to me not getting it done until later. My production went well as I was able to finish all of my production work on time despite having one less week compared to everyone else to make it so, I am fairly happy with the way that turned out as a whole. My production reflection was somewhat filled in as I went along, I filled in the processes with images and made some notes on what to write for later and even filled some of these slides in as I went through although, it wasn’t finished as of when I went through the evaluation and I plan on doing that in my spare time I do believe that my project could have done better with extra time as I would have actually handed the work in while being able to write the detail that I feel most comfortable writing. Even if the change may still have resulted in me falling behind, its safe to say that it still would have been done only, the stress would have been less and would have made it easier to cope with. I could also have done a couple more posters for my product as well as most films may have multiple posters to go along with it and maybe even design a short film rather than a trailer as the only reason I did not make a short film was because I was short for time and was paranoid that the short film would not be finished on time.
  • 8. Production Analysis And Product Comparison (Trailer)
  • 9. Trailer Technical Qualities Shots My Trailer: - Establishing Shot - Close up Shot - Medium Shot - Long Shot - Two Shot - Pan Professional trailer - Establishing Shot - Close up Shot - Medium Shot - Long Shot - Two Shot - Dutch Angle - Aerial Shot - Pan Both trailers make use of the establishing shot to establish the location of the film/scene. They also use make use of the close-up shot to bring attention to elements of the scene e.g. face, prop etc. Both trailers also use the medium shot so the both the characters and the mise-en-scene can be seen. They also make use of the Long shot to show all of the characters body and the mise-en- scene in the first frame. Both trailers make use of the two shot to show the relationship between the characters. The pan which is used to gradually incorporate elements of the mise-en-scene and composition over time. The professional trailer on the other hand utilizes the Dutch angle to disorientate the audience and make them fell discomfort, an aerial shot which acts an establishing shot to help the audience get there bearings on the location of the scene or film/helps them to understand it better. Music The music used in the professional trailer is a horror styled yet, it doesn’t seem to have been designed to necessarily scare the audience which is different compared to mine which makes use of high and low tones to create tension due to the confusing nature of the music. Colours My Trailer - Red - White - Black - Brown - Beige - Blue - Grey Professional Trailer - Red - White - Purple - Brown - Beige - Blue - Green - Black Both Trailers use the colours Red, White, Black, Brown, Beige and blue for foreshadowing and symbolism based on their meanings. My trailer has grey as an extra colour though, this is largely due to clothing. The professional trailer has purple and green to symbolize both death as well as relaxation respectively. The professional trailer makes better use of the connotations of colour compared to my trailer Structure My trailer and the professional trailers structure are somewhat similar to each other as both of them use fades and text frames to help market the film based on the company who made it or the actors who star in it. Both trailers are also structured in a way that makes the product appear in non-chronological order to help disorientate or make the film a mystery to the audience. The main title also appears at around the same point; after a potential jump scare and before a comedic moment in the trailer. The music also gets more tense as the trailer reaches its climax. Location Both of them take place in a house and in a local neighbourhood. Props & Clothing My Trailer - Mask - Knife - Casual wear - Coat Professional trailer - Headphones - Glasses - Hat - Priest robes - Gimp suit - Bandana - Casual clothing - Pyjamas - Smart attire The props and attire in my trailer aren’t really a big factor of it and blend in too much with the trailer with the exception of the mask. Meanwhile, the other product uses the props much more than mine and they are in a much larger abundance as well. This makes the trailer much more professional and also makes the actors seem like a different person which is the point of acting in the first place. Composition & Mise-En-Scene My trailer utilizes this unintentionally so, mine technically doesn’t use any form of composition or any effective mise-en-scene at all. The Professional Trailer - Symmetrical Composition - Dynamic Composition - Triangles and diagonals - Negative space - Fill the frame - Artificial lighting - Ambient lighting The professional trailer makes use of symmetrical composition to create a calming effect for the audience. Dynamic on the other hand directly contrasts this. Triangles and diagonals is used to create the feeling of instability as the triangles are irregular triangles and are designed in a weird way due to the angle of the shot on the stair case. The next composite shot is negative space which leaves a lot of space in the shot, this is seen when they are laying down in bed and the negative pace is used with the door/creates tension as something may pop through at any moment. Fill the frame is used on the scene where the character is listening to music unbeknownst to the screams of his wife. This composition is used to get the least amount of negative space possible so, the focus is on the characters instead. The artificial and ambient lighting is used to create the effect that the light is purely natural and only on screen/used to make the scene more immersive which adds to the post-paranoia effect
  • 10. Trailer Aesthetic Qualities In terms of whether my product looks good; I'm more split on this. The visuals for the trailer do look really nice and I thought as much when the visuals were finished; I liked how the transitions were pretty smooth throughout the trailer and how well the text frames seemingly fit in throughout the trailer. This is also viable when you include the use of the non-chronological order of events to make the trailer feel more like a an actual trailer and not a poorly crafted short film that was designed horribly and is explained as a short film instead. Other than this, the audio for the trailer does not work well at all and this is mainly because I lacked the time to actually make the audio sync in properly with the film however, the voice lines were the exception to this as I was able to get them to work fairly well despite prior issues with the way the voice over's were recorded. Summarised, this means that some elements I found to be good whereas some others were bad. I failed to make proper use of composition and mise- en-scene as well and this definitely serves as quite a big weakness for my product/ it was in fact creative and this mostly comes from the concept/plot of the story as it is rather unique and cant really be found anywhere else. I also like to believe that the use of this particular genre was creative as it is something that a lot of people would not have done due to its difficulty which, does come across as a reason as to why my product really did struggle nearer the end and is a valid weakness. Other than this, nothing else was really that creative about it. The aspects of my trailers visuals that I like are the use of the colour grading which, while it could have been done better, it definitely did help to set the mood of the product and make the trailer appear far more miserable. I also like to believe that I made great use of some of the shot types because, the way the shots were used to establish the relationship between the characters and how the shots were used to bring emphasis on some of the important aspects of the film did please me when it was done. The artificial lighting did help somewhat with the way some of the more happier moments are portrayed though this is ruined by the obvious use of colour grading which did make it far more miserable in some areas. Despite this, the scene where Stan and Tahmid are on the sofa does make the lighting look ok as the Tahmid is shown in the light where as the killer in the background is shown in the shadows as a way to symbolize their personalities and how mysterious the killer and his intentions are. In terms of what I would improve, this would definitely be the audio because of how bad the soundtrack is and how some of the lip syncing doesn’t work well at all; this really bothers me and if it were better, the product would definitely be far more professional and help keep the audience engaged throughout. I would improve the audio by spending some more time in garage band to make a soundtrack that is actually decent or, stick with royalty free music to take some strain off of my shoulders. The use of actual mise-en-scene and composition would also definitely help my product become much better because I can build tension throughout the trailer while utilizing these items.
  • 11. Trailer Audience AppealAge Luckily, I did in fact appeal to my target audience via age fairly well. The trailer does not use any blood so, it cant possibly be an 18 however, the use of dark, mature themes does make it a 15 I do believe which is what I had intended it to be. The comedy is somewhat subtle so, I may have given the impression that it is more for mature audiences which is what my intention was however, it has come across as rather obvious like marvels sense of humour so, the comedy is a bit more childish, especially considering the fact that the comedy itself is quite childish. Psychographics - Belongers - Explorers - Strugglers - Mainstream I have appealed to the belongers somewhat as I have tried to keep the product attached to the comedy/horror genre though, the comedy isn't as pronounced due to the color gradient and music that is used. It still came out as a horror/comedy product though so, I do believe that I have appealed to this audience successfully. I'm not sure if I have appealed to the explorers as the trailer may not be interesting enough to appeal to this audience due to the lack of professionality. Strugglers on the other hand may not be able to relate to the struggle of the characters as it wasn’t really pronounced in this trailer so, they may not understand the characters struggle. Main stream audiences were more of a side psychographic but because of the way they think and how I haven't really appealed to some of my other psychographics, I don’t think I have appealed to this audience either. Gender In terms of gender, I do believe that I have appealed to my target audience in this regard as the main characters are all male which makes the film more relatable to male. This is strengthened by the fact that I make strong use of blue and red which are colours that have more masculine properties then female ones. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to sneak in any themes that appeal to women so, it doesn't really appeal to women unfortunately. Social Status I did believe I have appealed to this audience because the location the trailer is set in is a casual home and this goes hand in hand with the casual clothing as well. The social status that I wanted to appeal to is BC1C2 as these are the majority of the audience and for the reasons I have already established; I have appealed to this audience Research/Survey When taking the survey results into account, I did keep my promise to some of them like how I made it appeal to more males and made it more dark and gritty etc. However, the tension that I should have used was not added very well and falls on its head. I also could not add the blood and gore because of the lack of resources and time to get some of these props. I did however keep my promise with the name of the product and having the film focus more on the horror compared to the comedy. Research/Interviews When looking at the interviews, I did make the plot concept cohesive although this was not shown in the trailer because it is a trailer. To be honest, a lot of these developments were on the plot concept for the trailer and half of it couldn't be shown due to the fact it is a trailer and having the trailer reveal all of its plot points makes it bad.
  • 13. Feedback 1 • What did you like about the product? – The poster is quite creepy which I like as it fits the context of the film well. I also like that one of the other posters is quite mysterious as you can’t really make out what is in the shadows which makes me want to watch the film and found out what it is. I also like that the cover for the movie is quite mysterious as this makes me want to see it more. • What improvements could have been made to the product? – I think that on the dark poster the brightness could have been increased as it is really hard to see anything at all in the image and may leave someone thinking that it is just a black photo.
  • 14. Feedback 2 • What did you like about the product? I like the simplicity of the posters and the DvD box, it makes the films plot and main villain more mysterious and indices me to watch the film. I like the simple colour scheme that only uses reds, mild yellows and oranges to contrast the black. The poster and the covers images and dark themes are consistent and make the film seem more professional. • What improvements could have been made to the product? The font used in the title of the poster with the mask on is different. The font and colour contrasts with the other content and makes the poster not seem relatable to the film. The font used in the mask poster works well but needs to be constant in my opinion The DVD cover and one of the posters are too dark to see on the screen and will likely not be visible when printed out.
  • 15. Feedback 3 • What did you like about the product? – I like the whole dark suspension theme. I think I prefer the weird dark face blob cover instead of the other one. It’s more creepy and you can see a lot more of it too especially the text. With this dvd cover, I think is really good because of the colour of the text but it could be more red. The font suits the cover. • What improvements could have been made to the product? – On the dvd cover, you can’t really see the image on the front. I think the dvd cover is quite dark but still effective. You can’t read the writing at the top, maybe change the colour?
  • 16. Peer Feedback Summary • What do you agree with from your peer feedback? – I don’t actually agree with my peer feedback at all due to the fact that they decided to review the experiments instead and I don’t have time to change it. They did however review the poster and they did say that the colour matches the product and the font fits the poster really well. They also mentioned that the mask on the product is fairly creepy whish is what I had intended and this is definitely a good sign • What do you disagree with from your peer feedback? - The fact that they decided to review my experiments although, they did compliment them a fair bit so, this is the only thing that I disagree with from my feedback. They did mention that they couldn't really see the character on the experiment box art which kind of is the point so they don’t quite understand the mystery elements of the experiments • What changes would you make to your product based upon your peer feedback and why? - I don’t think I would really change my experiments that much because they are tests however, I can take from this that I should add the products in to other parts of the blog instead. I should also have left myself with more time to change the feedback as well. The problem that I believe is a major issue for my product is just the audio and I can improve this by giving myself some more time to create audio that’s good enough to cat as the foundations for the products emotional balance.
