This document outlines 9 different shot types that will be used in an upcoming film production, including establishing shots, medium shots, pan shots, two shots, long shots, over the shoulder shots, low-angle shots, high-angle shots, and close up shots. Each shot is described in terms of its estimated duration, purpose, and how it will be used throughout the film and trailer. The shots will help establish locations, focus on characters, emphasize aspects of scenes, and convey power dynamics between characters.

Shot
2-4 Secs Used to establish the location the film will take
place. Will be used at the start of the film
trailer to show the audience the primary
location of what would be the film.
2 Medium
Shot
1-5 Secs Shot used to place focus on one or more
characters. Only shows the top half of the
characters. Used in quite a few scenes with the
two friends and sometimes, just one.
3 Pan Shot 1-3 Secs This shot moves either up, down, left and right.
The speed of the pan can vary. The shot is
mostly used to place emphasis on aspects of
the location in the film. This shot is used at the
start of the trailer to help establish the
location.
4 Two Shot 2-4 Secs This shot is used to help establish the
relationship between two characters. Can
either be a Close, Medium or Long shot. This
shot is used throughout the trailer when the
protagonists are together and when something
important happens.
5 Long shot 1-5 Secs This shot is used to help establish the
relationship between two characters. Can
either be a Close, Medium or Long shot. This
shot is used throughout the trailer when the
protagonists are together and when something
important happens.

7 Low-angle
shot
2-4 Secs This shot is used to show positions of power in
scenes; in this case, from the weaker
characters perspective to make the stronger
character appear stronger to the audience. This
shot will be used to show positions of power in
the trailer, usually with the serial killer being
the one on top.

8 High-angle
shot
1-3 Secs This shot is used to show positions of power in
a scene; in this case, from the stronger
characters perspective to make the weaker
characters appear weaker. This shot will be
used to make the protagonists look weak
compared to the serial killer.
9 Close Up
shot
1-3 Secs This shot is used to place emphasis on the
characters facial features in films. I will use this
shot to make the serial killers mask more
distinguishable to the audience.
