INTERVIEW ROOM-DAY
AARON is sitting at a desk in front of the INTERVIEWER. (The
INTERVIEWER is not in shot whereas TOM is.)
AARON’s body language is closed off; his arms are crossed, he appears
to be nervous and doesn’t make eye contact with the INTERVIEWER.
INTERVIEWER
(Breathes in and out deeply)
“So Aaron why don’t you tell us a little about yourself?“
AARON changes his seating position to get more comfortable while
still looking at the table.
AARON
(He begins to smirk)
“Well, I don’t do anything that interesting”
(His lack of confidence seems to dissipate. He rubs his nose while
still smiling, even letting a small laugh go.)
“I spend a lot of time indoors playing video games, occasionally I go
out drinking too. Maybe one or two illegal substances on the side”
AARON’s expression becomes more visibly troubled, as if he is
remembering something painful.
INTERVIEWER
“It doesn’t seem like you enjoy what you do with your spare time”
AARON gives the INTERVIEWER an irritated look.
AARON
“Anyone who enjoys destroying their bodies from the inside out. Is
nothing short of fucked up.”
INTERVIWER
(The INTERVIEWER cuts in shortly after AARON finishes his sentence)
“So it was peer pressure then?”
He appears sad and apologetic. His already closed off body language
becomes even more closed off and he looks down in shame.
AARON
“That’s how it always starts right? You get in with the wrong crowd.
And you try to fit in.
(AARON gives a short pause, stumbling for something to talk about)
“Besides, my personal life isn’t what we came here to discuss”
INTERVIEWER
“No, You’re right AARON.”
(The interviewer takes a short breath)
“We are here to discuss an incident that you had around 5 months ago.
and if I have this right.”
2. 2
(His voice trails off as the INTERVIEWER quickly flicks through some
documents to find the exact date.)
“On the 11th of October”
AARON seems to be reluctant to talk about the event but, he also
knows that he has to get this off of his chest. He bites his lip
before going to open his mouth.

AARONS HOUSE-DAY: 5 Months prior
AARON walks in through the front door and casually makes his way to
the kitchen where he finds a note left from his father. He picks the
note up to read it. The note mentions that he isn’t in today and will
be working late.
AARON
(Mutters to himself)
“As per usual”
(AARON is annoyed here)
AARON scrunches the note up and places it in a nearby bin before
moving to the fridge to acquire food.
