7. WHY WOULD BE
PERFECT FOR ‘AMPED’
o I chose this producer/distributor because it currently doesn’t supply and music
magazine at all.
o It doesn’t have any experience in the field of music magazines, however a number of
their magazines are seen all over the world. This would be beneficial for my magazine
because it would mean that the magazine would appeal to a wider audience and be
more successful because it would build up quite a good profile.
o CONDE NAST although it doesn’t have an already existing music magazine portfolio,
it does have a magazine called ‘LOVE’ this magazine is target at the same age range
as mine (teenagers/young adults) and therefore if they enjoy the genre of music my
magazine is they may purchase it.
o The current magazine from CONDE NAST are predominantly aimed at females
however they do offer magazine for men and both genders, for example TATLER.
This is seen by their front covers as magazines such as VOGUE and VANITYFAIR
because they mostly feature females on their front cover and men on the GQ and GQ
fashion magazines. Due to my magazine being aimed at both genres it would allow
my magazine to be aimed at both quite easily.
