Dennis Publishing would be the best company to distribute the music magazine because they do not currently distribute any music magazines, so there would be less competition. Distributing the magazine would allow Dennis Publishing to broaden their audience and market. Dennis Publishing also creates digital versions of magazines, so the music magazine could reach more people, especially younger audiences, as it would be accessible anywhere on devices. The main selling outlets for the magazine would be large supermarkets and local newsagents, placing it with other popular music magazines, while also offering subscriptions for home delivery.

• Before making my magazine, I did some research into
different magazine distributers and the genres of magazines
they distribute.
• I looked at BBC Worldwide Productions, Bauer Media Group,
Blaze Publishing, Wenner Media LLC and Dennis Publishing.

• After researching all of the distribution companies and with
careful consideration I have decided that Dennis Publishing
would be the best company to distribute my magazine.
• Dennis Publishing Ltd. is an independent publisher founded in
1974. They publish magazines such as “Car Buyer”, “Custom
PC” “Men’s Fitness” and “Viz”

4. WHY DENNIS PUBLISHING?
• I think it would be good for Dennis Publishing to distribute
my magazine because they do not currently distribute any
music magazines therefore there would be less
competition for sales. The publisher would be opening up
to a wider audience and broadening their market/target
audience which will inevitably bring in a larger income for
the company. Dennis publishing has also been known to
have Application versions of the magazine compatible with
Apple/Android devices meaning the magazine will reach
more people, especially younger audiences and will be
even more accessible and convenient to readers as they’re
able to easily read it anywhere at any time.

5. SELLING THE MAGAZINE
• Like most popular magazines, the main selling outlet for my magazine
would be large supermarkets such as Tesco and ASDA. This creates
potential for a very wide range of audiences as all age groups go there
and is available the majority of the day.
• My magazine will be placed amongst other popular music magazines
therefore there will still be a slight competition in the market, however I
am confident due to the unique look and genre of my magazine that it
will stand out to people on the shelves and people will want to pick it up
and read/buy.
• Also similarly to other music magazines, my magazine will also be
available in local newsagents.
• There will also be the option to subscribe to the magazine so that it will
be delivered to their houses if they are not local to a
supermarket/newsagent or is not available in store.
