Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated colours/images
styles/fonts/tone/mood
• There are plenty of made up logos and slogans that show the audience who they are
watching and helps them recognise future videos by them.
• The ‘Total’ in Total War gives the audience all of the information they need. There is a
clear denotation in which people can recognise that all there will be is war in the videos
and can also act as a warning to younger audiences.
• There are also many references to ancient and medieval weapons.
• Lion Heart’s logo has a dark red background which symbolises danger and war. This
symbolises the content that will follow in the videos he releases. His videos tend to be
about war and destruction and therefore it fits very well. The red also symbolises
leadership which goes well with the theme of the game – you play a general in an army
that you raise. Pixelated Apollo’s background to his logo is a bright blue which
symbolises health and healing. This could mean that he, as a person is

• It will influence my final product by giving me ideas for the games I will be playing and
commenting on and by giving me references to YouTubers and their styles that I could
try out or work on.

Current Idea
Concept I will have a Magazine double page spread that is based on one or more of the games
I choose. There will be facts, reviews and finally towards the end, links to the made
up brand’s YouTube channel in which a tutorial video will be made either detailing
the top ten units in a game or tactics. There will also be

• My project will have no use of a cd as I
wanted it to be solely about gaming and not
music - therefore it would have been
illogical to design a case.
• I found other medias that could be better
suited to the type of product I want to
create.
• There were more connections and
possibilities with making other products
instead of the CD case.

• I couldn’t come up with enough strong
ideas to choose from and couldn’t expand
very well on them.
• The two medias link well but there were no
others I could think of that would perfectly
link to them.
• I wanted to create more of a community
rather than an artist or company’s advert.
