Working Title:
Streets To Stadiums
Audience:
My audience is the majority of footballing fans from around the age of 7 up until around 16, as the
game may be too simple to challenge anyone older than this, or they may not want to play a game
based on another person’s life at around this age. The gender is both, as neither gender
specifically is interested in football, this will be shown in the game by having options for both
genders when creating your character. The social status is all of ABC1C2DE as no specific social
status is interested in football or sports in general, and with the game being aimed at younger
people the social status of them will have less of an effect on the games they play. The
psychographic of my audience is an emulator, this is as they will be emulating the life of a
footballer, which is something that they may not get in real life, they will appear as an achiever to
themselves through living the life of a successful footballer through the game.
Rationale (approx. 100 words)
I believe throughout the year I have become very comfortable in using Adobe Photoshop, which is
what I will be using for this project, this will help as I think I can create better designs now in
Photoshop than I could before. As well as this all the other subjects have helped as I know more
about how to research well and finding relevant ways in which to do this, as well as the research it
has helped with other parts of the projects, such as how to evaluate my work, and all the aspects
of pre-production, such as layout plans.
Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
This mode would be a career style where you create your own player and begin his career in
football, this would begin with a street footballer, trying to make his name is the Sunday league’s
and on the streets, you play a “trial match”, which is to test the skills and decide which club may
come in for the player, from here every choice you make matters, clubs will come in looking to sign
you, choose your club wisely, based on the wage they offer, squad role, club prestige, and where
the club is placed in the league systems of your chosen country. From here football isn’t all that
matters, just like in real life the choices you make off the pitch can effect what happens on it, get
on the bad side of the media and they can ruin your career just as much as a bad string of
performances, make sure you make the right moral choices, as you never know when the media
could be watching you, certain moral situations may occur such as a bribe to match fix for
example, sometimes this may be not found out by anyone, or your image could be ruined by the
media for accepting a bribe, as well as this your wage gives you the chance to buy items in game,
such as cars, houses, clothing, or even gambling with your money, live the life of a footballer, the
ups, the possible downs, and everything in-between.
Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I plan to evaluate my work in a few ways, first of this being showing all my processes, this would
be through screenshotting different parts of my work once certain parts are done, this will show
how my work progresses and what I have done in each part of my work, as well as this I will use
things such as peer feedback.
