1. outline the agreed audience and intentions for
your project, do you think you achieved this
• Our group that is working with the client split into three separate teams to
target different audiences. These group are targeting children, teenagers
and young adults and the elderly. My team worked on to target teenagers
ages 12-20. Our intentions for this specific market is to raise awareness
that wildlife is decreasing vastly and to promote them to make a change by
donating to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to benefit the future of wildlife and
the people so future people can still get to experience wildlife like we do
today. I think I personally achieved the goals for this project. I think I used
the right tools and techniques to present the message that e and the client
agreed on. I used many techniques such as textual assets showing statistics
of declining wildlife and a motivational speech presented by a teenager in
order to relate to the market. I also made sure to put the clients details at
the end of the video to make sure that it is what the audience will
remember that information the most out of all the information that I have
put into the video.
2. how did you ensure your product was
appropriate for your client? How successful was
this?
• I made sure that the contents of what I created was appropriate for
both the client and the audience. The client is all about saving and
protecting wildlife and to promote others to do the same. In order to
make my product appropriate, I used techniques ad camera shots
that didn't promote otherwise or show any harmful or unsuitable
images about the wildlife. I think that this way worked as I got the
message across well without using improper material and assets.
3. explain how you worked with your client to
realize the requirements for the project.
• At the beginning of the project, me and my group went to the Yorkshire
Wildlife Trust office and had a casual meeting with the client. We reviewed
the existing products the client had already produced for the company and
discussed our skills and what we could provide to the organization. We all
provided our own ideas and created an action plan. The plan was written
up by the client which also included what they liked to see being put in our
products. They sent us this to our emails to work with. After that we
planned and produced our videos. Our final videos were then sent to the
client for approval an feedback. Unfortunately, the client has not yet got
back to us about our products. I think that me and my group should have
had more contact with the client during the process of production to make
sure we were using the tools and techniques that they wanted to see. I also
think that we should have met up with the client again with the products to
have another meeting so we could have got feedback and to see if the
client will use our products.
4. compare/ contrast your client work to 2 or 3
relevant examples of professionals production –
The Story of All of Us – Wildlife Conservation Trust
• This video was created in 2017 in India. The core message is that wildlife
and forests are just as important as humans so we should take more care of
it. Both this product and my product use a voice over as the main asset for
the video. However, the existing product uses their audio in the form as a
speech and narration whereas my audio is an interview with a speech at
the end. The types of camera shots are different in the two products. I use
simple camera on tripod shots, whereas the existing product used a better
quality camera and had the advantage of drone and helicopter shots,
which I didn’t have for mine. I feel like I used textual assets better than this
existing product. Although they had better fonts, my text was used
differently as I presented facts and statistics whereas the existing product
only had a title.
Save our seas – The Wildlife Trusts
• This video was made in 2013 in the UK. This product took the concept
different to how I did. My product was a commercial style short video
whereas the existing product is a shot documentary film. The existing
product uses many different cameras and camera shots such as POV
shots, drones and underwater camera. My product used just a
camera and stuck with simple shots like stills and pans. The existing
product also used graphics in their video however my video graphics
is the logo at the beginning of the video. I feel like I used a bigger
range of texts and fonts than the existing product.
Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your
production from your own perspective. What did
you think work/didn't work
• With my project, I had strengths and I had weaknesses. I think that one of my
strengths was my use of visual effects. I used visual effects such as directional
burs, color correcting and cuts and fades. I feel like these effects were done well
and were a strong point to the quality of my video. I also made sure that I didn’t
use too many visual effects as then my video would have looked crowded and not
clean. I think also one of my other strengths was my choice of music and camera
shots. Even though I would have liked to compose my own music for the project, I
am still happy with the royalty free music that I chose. The style of music is
appropriate to the topic of the video. We also filmed a lot of shots for the project
so I had a lot of assets to choose. I used the best shots we captured on day of
shooting and I think this helped for a good piece. As good as I think my strengths
are, there are weaknesses. For example, the color grading I used was not the best
and looked saturated and grainy giving the image a non-realistic look. The audio
interview I used was not edited well. I cut down to get rid of unwanted sentences
and pauses. However some bits of the audio is jumpy and you can tell that it has
been edited.
6. create an action plan based on your
evaluation
• For my FMP I need to make an action plan based on my strengths,
weakness and what I have learnt during this project. One of the
things I will work on is my use of camera work and exploring different
types of camera shots. For my client project and my previous factual
project, I have used a camera ma. Their camera work has been really
good, however I would like to explore myself with the camera. I also
need to work on audio editing. I think I do well with visual editing,
however I don’t really explore with audio editing. So if I used more
audio editing, my future products will be better

I think that this way worked as I got the message across well without using improper material and assets.
  • 4. 3. explain how you worked with your client to realize the requirements for the project. • At the beginning of the project, me and my group went to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust office and had a casual meeting with the client. We reviewed the existing products the client had already produced for the company and discussed our skills and what we could provide to the organization. We all provided our own ideas and created an action plan. The plan was written up by the client which also included what they liked to see being put in our products. They sent us this to our emails to work with. After that we planned and produced our videos. Our final videos were then sent to the client for approval an feedback. • 7. Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of your production from your own perspective. What did you think work/didn't work • With my project, I had strengths and I had weaknesses. I think that one of my strengths was my use of visual effects. I used visual effects such as directional burs, color correcting and cuts and fades. I feel like these effects were done well and were a strong point to the quality of my video. I also made sure that I didn’t use too many visual effects as then my video would have looked crowded and not clean. I think also one of my other strengths was my choice of music and camera shots. Even though I would have liked to compose my own music for the project, I am still happy with the royalty free music that I chose. The style of music is appropriate to the topic of the video. We also filmed a lot of shots for the project so I had a lot of assets to choose. I used the best shots we captured on day of shooting and I think this helped for a good piece. As good as I think my strengths are, there are weaknesses. For example, the color grading I used was not the best and looked saturated and grainy giving the image a non-realistic look. The audio interview I used was not edited well. I cut down to get rid of unwanted sentences and pauses. However some bits of the audio is jumpy and you can tell that it has been edited.
  • 8. 6. create an action plan based on your evaluation • For my FMP I need to make an action plan based on my strengths, weakness and what I have learnt during this project. One of the things I will work on is my use of camera work and exploring different types of camera shots. For my client project and my previous factual project, I have used a camera ma. Their camera work has been really good, however I would like to explore myself with the camera. I also need to work on audio editing. I think I do well with visual editing, however I don’t really explore with audio editing. So if I used more audio editing, my future products will be better
