Target Audience:
My target audience would be amid at the mainstreamers
and the alternative . The reason why is because they love
different types of music ,enjoy dancing and would go
their for the experiences. This will also give them
entertainment and would give them the chance to
escape from the stress of the real world . Also the age
range would be young adults from 15-18 of females as it
has music range that is amide towards them . Due to the
ages it mean that they wont have a high paying job or
rank so they will have a low spending power.
Colour scheme:
For the poster I want to keep the colour
scheme bright and eye catching , that
would persuade and encourage people to
come to the festival. The colours I have in
mind are palatal based colours of all
kinds, to help represent the different
people and up beat vibe of the festival.
Marketing:
The type of marketing that I will be using is
print based magazines and posters. The
reason why I would use this form of
advertising is because it can be placed
anywhere , and people would see it on the
street which would make them stop and
read it placing the thought of going to that
festival.
Frequency of release:
For the release of the poster I would first release
just the main headlines and the date they are
playing at the festival first. The first type of
advertising for the festival would be release
towards the beginning of the year around
February, march time . So that the audiences has
time to make arrangements to either deiced to go
or book their tickets.
Slogans:
“ you only live once”
“ flee from reality”
These would be remarkable quotes or
slogans to use , as most young adults
today are stressed and put off going to fun
festivals in fear of not fitting inn. By
listening to music it helps them to forget
their fears and get lost in their own world .
Logo Names:
As my festival would be
sponsored by the music
magazine Disco. I would
like to keep the poster
simple so it could be called
‘disco festival’ or even ‘
hello world festival’.
Proposal
What is the product being advertised?
For my festival poster it is going to be called “Disco” festival as I based my magazine on the name disco so it could be a sponsor, by that magazine.
What are the Aims and Objectives you are trying to achieve?
On the poster it will hold the artists that are going to play at the festival. It will also have the dates of each festival and who will be playing when,
the main aim is to get people to experience the life of the festival and make them want to come to our festival where they will get an experience
of a life time.
Target Audience
The festival will also have social media icons like twitter and instagram. The target audiences will be from ages 15-18 (Hartley) , as this is the
audience that would have read the “Disco” magazine. Due to the ages it mean that they wont have a high paying job or rank so they will have a
low ‘spending power'. Not only will the poster inform (Kats) the audiences of what the festival has to offer but also what type of music that will
be playing , as it may be directed to a certain group of people for example ‘Young alts’ or even ‘Hypebeasts’ (Maslow
What is the campaign message?
For this festival poster in will be using the slogan ‘ you only live once’ as our positive message . Due to the fact that a festival in a once
in your life experience if it is your first time , it helps you deiced if you will go to future festivals or avoided them.
Style or approach and content
The poster will be printed on a format of A4 paper , as it is the regular size a poster and will capture peoples attention when
walking along in the street. Featuring on the poster will be a girl (Grace) at the festival with her sunglasses on , the poster will be
using a green pallet

For the graphic
layout I have placed
the different colors
on the masthead,
slogan and logo. I
may go with the
blue theme or even

Draft logo design
As my festival will be sponsored by
Disco magazine, I will be using their
logo on my poster. But I may change
the font to make it more of a festival
vibe. The font that I like the most is
the top one as it flows well and gives
of the vibe of a festival . I will try and
change the font colour to multicolor,
as it was inspired by the
‘Glastonbury’ festival poster , which
will make it stand out.
Photoshoot plan
project This photo-shoot will be for a festival poster. So the main aim is to capture photos that link
back to the festival vibes and experiences.
Photographer? The photographer will be me as I need to find either ,object that hold the same purpose as a
festival or a group of people to represent the festival vibes.
Casting ? For the poster if I go with a group of people I will need to find five or six people male or
female to pose as if they are at a festival and just hanging out . If I was to go with an object I’d
have to make sure it something cute and will persuade people to come to the festival.
Model
requirements?
The model requirements was to not show her face in the picture so I will work with the back of
her head or pull her hair round to the side so it covers her face .
Wardrobe and
look?
The models would have to wear casual clothing they type they find would best suite a festival.
I would advices the my model to wear something cute but also trendy, just something she
feels comfortable inn .
Hair & Make-
up
The girls would have there hair in a up/down style or they could even have it in different types
of breading . The make- up would not be to heavy but colorful and maybe some face
decoration added on the side of the face or even the forehead.
Where & when
?
The photo-shoot will take place at a park or some type of nature inspired place . I would like it
to take place on a warm day so I could get the natural sunlight to stream down to create a light
effect , but fingers crossed for good weather if it is not on our side I’ll adapted my idea to fit
around the weather.
Print advertisement of inspiration analysis
The main focus of the poster is the masthead ‘Glastonbury’ using different colors and patterns within
the font. The reason why it is where the festival is being held so it is in big writing to make it easy for
people to see . The target audiences for this festival poster is amide towards 16-30. Both male and
female as there is music act there for everyone . They would have a outgoing and fun personality as
the Glastonbury festival is very popular and is also a busy event which host different genders of music.
As for the term of colour scheme it use a dark black for the background ,which help to make the
masthead stand out . At the bottom of the poster they have the bands of who is playing is small font,
also you have the dates underneath the word “festival” which is is a larger font compared to who is
playing. The things that I would ‘repeat’ the style of the masthead and possible the colour scheme, but
I would have a main image as the background of the poster which will help the text standout.
Poster/advert information: who on poster
The music artist that are featured on the
Glastonbury festival poster. The main artist
that play at Glastonbury are pop and rock
artists, such artist as……

And many more that are not featured on the
poster .
On my poster the artist that featured on the
disco magazine will also make appearance
on the festival poster. These artist are Olly
murs , Adele, Jessie J , Katy Perry, lady gaga,
melody smith and many more.
House style
The types of colors I'm considering to be using on the text will be big, bright and bold,
using colors like orange, green, yellow , blue ,purple, red and many more. The reason
why is that it follows my poster of inspiration at it helps make the poster unique to
anyone else's. The social media I am considering placing on the poster are twitter and
instagram as, many people will be using these sites when at the festival taking photos
to help remember what a great time they have had. It will also help to promote the
festival and get more people involved or persuade them to go to the festival. As for
the font which will be sponsored by disco magazine , I may change the font to make it
more of a festival vibe. The font that I like the most is the top one as it flows well and
gives of the vibe of a festival . I will try and change the font colour to multicolor, as it

The poster launch date will be on the 8th April
2018, the reason why I have chosen this date
is because it the festive will not be
performing until the end of April beginning of
may . The audio visual launch date will be on
22nd April 2018 which is when the first
festival will be happening , so it gives people
more of a chance to get tickets as it is going
on until the 10 may.
Budget summary
These are all the costs that my business will need to make in order to create my festival
advertisement. The staff’s salary will be on the low end as they will all be in or out of university and
therefore they will want the experiences of working in the media industry. However, when the
business starts making more money , their salary will increase as they will be able to afford the profit
the company is making. The equipment are also an important investment as they will be needed in
order to create the poster and audio advertisement. The posters and flyers will be placed and hand
out in places like London, Dorking, Guildford and Epsom as they have lost of people from all over
coming over to do shopping or to visits.

Location/ scheduling of advertisement
The festival poster will be placed around different areas such as parks ,
shop windows, lamp posts , signs and billboards in local city’s e.g
London, leatherhead , Epsom etc. The reason why for these locations is
because they are highly visited and populated by the general public
everyday, the more people who see these posters the more likely it will
be to go to the festival. To place the advertisement on a billboard on
average for a week would cost £200 per week but is some areas like
London will cost up to £300 per week.
Location recce
For taking the photos I will be working in the studio with
the model , using the stage lighting and natural lighting
to see the differences . I will also be working in a park to
capture a natural background image to place my model
over it. When on location I will need to check for any
hazards that could put my model or me in danger or
cause an accident. For example in the studio lose wires ,
or another obstacles that we could trip on.

The photo shoot had taken place on the 4th January
2018 and between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm .
The reason why is because it is a flexible
time for me and my photographer to
work around, and get all the photos
required for the poster in one day.

Why?
The shots I used where a different arrange of close
up , mid-shots and long shots. The only prop that was
used was the flower crown and a pair of sunglasses.
We used arrange of natural lighting and studio
lighting to get the right shots . During the shoot the
model change her positions to portray her mood or
anything that made her feel comfy while being
photographed.
The reason why I am using a range of
different shots ,is because I can choose
the best images that will make the front
cover and DPS. With these different
angles you will be able to see her facial
features and outfit.

The photoshoot took place in a studio that belonged
to the artists so permission was given by the artists.
We also took some images in a park which I did a risk
assessment before letting my model onto location.
The reason why I used a studio is because
it is an environment that the artists is
comfy with. Also with shooting in the
park was the main purpose of the poster
Potential hazards/ Risks
Location specific why?
While on location the only hazards that could come
up are lose wires or any hair products, that will be
used to style the models hair e.g. curling wand.
The reason why having lose wires can be
classed as an hazard is because someone
could trip over them and hurt themselves
. Also the curling wand can be a hazard as
it can over heat or if not used and they
could burn someone.
Risk assessments
You can see that I have completed two risk assessment as I have two different locations
, as I need to make sure that the location is safe for me to shoot there and has no risks.
Legal and ethical Constraints
There are a few legal and ethical issues that need to be follow when carrying out my advertising
campaign. Firstly, if I were to use any models it would be necessary to have the correct model release
forms signed so that I have their consent. Secondly it would be important that no offensive or violent
language is anywhere on my adverts and that everything stated on there is the truth otherwise there
would be defamation and libel. I would need to make sure that all my products are copyrighted so that
no one can copy my ideas and that if I am going to use bands’ logos for example that I have permission
so that it would not be an offense. All these regulations could potentially affect my campaign message
because any consumer could complain about if anything was misleading, for example the dates or who
will be there, and to not promote for a younger youth where it may be potentially dangerous if they go
so therefore it would be better to encourage the public of an older age and not persuade children that
they want to go. Lastly you have royalties and this means that if I wanted to use the artists’ logos, for
example, they would receive royalties because I’d want to use their work.
As for representation, I need to make sure that there are no stereotypes and that I have the festival in
mind and stick to the theme so that I do not offend anyone or single people out.

If I was to create a audio visual I would
have to take into consideration, which
music artist that I would feature in on the
poster as well as in the audio visual. The
audio visual that would be created would
be featured on all social media pages ,
such as YouTube ,Facebook ,twitter and

Conclusion
To conclude I have looked at different layouts and styles which would
look great on my festival poster. For my poster I have chosen the name
of the festival which is ‘disco festival’ as it will link back to my magazine
that I did in unit 13. I have also chosen a slogan , target audiences and a
colour scheme this will help make my poster standout from the crowed
.

  • 3. Mind map Print based advertisement Target Audience: My target audience would be amid at the mainstreamers and the alternative . The reason why is because they love different types of music ,enjoy dancing and would go their for the experiences. This will also give them entertainment and would give them the chance to escape from the stress of the real world . Also the age range would be young adults from 15-18 of females as it has music range that is amide towards them . Due to the ages it mean that they wont have a high paying job or rank so they will have a low spending power. Colour scheme: For the poster I want to keep the colour scheme bright and eye catching , that would persuade and encourage people to come to the festival. The colours I have in mind are palatal based colours of all kinds, to help represent the different people and up beat vibe of the festival. Marketing: The type of marketing that I will be using is print based magazines and posters. The reason why I would use this form of advertising is because it can be placed anywhere , and people would see it on the street which would make them stop and read it placing the thought of going to that festival. Frequency of release: For the release of the poster I would first release just the main headlines and the date they are playing at the festival first. The first type of advertising for the festival would be release towards the beginning of the year around February, march time . So that the audiences has time to make arrangements to either deiced to go or book their tickets. Slogans: “ you only live once” “ flee from reality” These would be remarkable quotes or slogans to use , as most young adults today are stressed and put off going to fun festivals in fear of not fitting inn. By listening to music it helps them to forget their fears and get lost in their own world . Logo Names: As my festival would be sponsored by the music magazine Disco. I would like to keep the poster simple so it could be called ‘disco festival’ or even ‘ hello world festival’.
  • 4. Proposal What is the product being advertised? For my festival poster it is going to be called “Disco” festival as I based my magazine on the name disco so it could be a sponsor, by that magazine. What are the Aims and Objectives you are trying to achieve? On the poster it will hold the artists that are going to play at the festival. It will also have the dates of each festival and who will be playing when, the main aim is to get people to experience the life of the festival and make them want to come to our festival where they will get an experience of a life time. Target Audience The festival will also have social media icons like twitter and instagram. The target audiences will be from ages 15-18 (Hartley) , as this is the audience that would have read the “Disco” magazine. Due to the ages it mean that they wont have a high paying job or rank so they will have a low ‘spending power'. Not only will the poster inform (Kats) the audiences of what the festival has to offer but also what type of music that will be playing , as it may be directed to a certain group of people for example ‘Young alts’ or even ‘Hypebeasts’ (Maslow What is the campaign message? For this festival poster in will be using the slogan ‘ you only live once’ as our positive message . Due to the fact that a festival in a once in your life experience if it is your first time , it helps you deiced if you will go to future festivals or avoided them. Style or approach and content The poster will be printed on a format of A4 paper , as it is the regular size a poster and will capture peoples attention when walking along in the street. Featuring on the poster will be a girl (Grace) at the festival with her sunglasses on , the poster will be using a green pallet
  • 5. Mood board I have chosen these images because my festival poster will not only contain the latest music, but also the latest fashion trends and what works well together. I have also added the type of attractions that can be found at the festival as well as what can be expected regarding the weather.
  • 6. Hand drawn layout For my print bases advertisement posters I will have the masthead in multiple coloures like my poster inspired. Also the slogan and maybe the logo too. The background will consist of a min image either a group of friends or a teepee not sure yet . It also consists of the social media sites logo and the festival dates and artist as well .

I may go with the blue theme or even a charcoal gray theme as it would be similar to my inspirational poster.
  • 8. Draft logo design As my festival will be sponsored by Disco magazine, I will be using their logo on my poster. But I may change the font to make it more of a festival vibe. The font that I like the most is the top one as it flows well and gives of the vibe of a festival . I will try and change the font colour to multicolor, as it was inspired by the ‘Glastonbury’ festival poster , which will make it stand out.
  • 9. Photoshoot plan project This photo-shoot will be for a festival poster. So the main aim is to capture photos that link back to the festival vibes and experiences. Photographer? The photographer will be me as I need to find either ,object that hold the same purpose as a festival or a group of people to represent the festival vibes. Casting ? For the poster if I go with a group of people I will need to find five or six people male or female to pose as if they are at a festival and just hanging out . If I was to go with an object I’d have to make sure it something cute and will persuade people to come to the festival. Model requirements? The model requirements was to not show her face in the picture so I will work with the back of her head or pull her hair round to the side so it covers her face . Wardrobe and look? The models would have to wear casual clothing they type they find would best suite a festival. I would advices the my model to wear something cute but also trendy, just something she feels comfortable inn . Hair & Make- up The girls would have there hair in a up/down style or they could even have it in different types of breading . The make- up would not be to heavy but colorful and maybe some face decoration added on the side of the face or even the forehead. Where & when ? The photo-shoot will take place at a park or some type of nature inspired place . I would like it to take place on a warm day so I could get the natural sunlight to stream down to create a light effect , but fingers crossed for good weather if it is not on our side I’ll adapted my idea to fit around the weather.
  • 10. Print advertisement of inspiration analysis The main focus of the poster is the masthead ‘Glastonbury’ using different colors and patterns within the font. The reason why it is where the festival is being held so it is in big writing to make it easy for people to see . The target audiences for this festival poster is amide towards 16-30. Both male and female as there is music act there for everyone . They would have a outgoing and fun personality as the Glastonbury festival is very popular and is also a busy event which host different genders of music. As for the term of colour scheme it use a dark black for the background ,which help to make the masthead stand out . At the bottom of the poster they have the bands of who is playing is small font, also you have the dates underneath the word “festival” which is is a larger font compared to who is playing. The things that I would ‘repeat’ the style of the masthead and possible the colour scheme, but I would have a main image as the background of the poster which will help the text standout.

The main artist that play at Glastonbury are pop and rock artists, such artist as…… • Colplay • U2 • OK Go • Cold war class And many more that are not featured on the poster . On my poster the artist that featured on the disco magazine will also make appearance on the festival poster. These artist are Olly murs , Adele, Jessie J , Katy Perry, lady gaga, melody smith and many more.
  • 12. House style The types of colors I'm considering to be using on the text will be big, bright and bold, using colors like orange, green, yellow , blue ,purple, red and many more. The reason why is that it follows my poster of inspiration at it helps make the poster unique to anyone else's. The social media I am considering placing on the poster are twitter and instagram as, many people will be using these sites when at the festival taking photos to help remember what a great time they have had. It will also help to promote the festival and get more people involved or persuade them to go to the festival. As for the font which will be sponsored by disco magazine , I may change the font to make it more of a festival vibe. Launch dates/ calendar events The poster launch date will be on the 8th April 2018, the reason why I have chosen this date is because it the festive will not be performing until the end of April beginning of may . The audio visual launch date will be on 22nd April 2018 which is when the first festival will be happening , so it gives people more of a chance to get tickets as it is going on until the 10 may.
  • 17. Budget summary These are all the costs that my business will need to make in order to create my festival advertisement. The staff’s salary will be on the low end as they will all be in or out of university and therefore they will want the experiences of working in the media industry. However, when the business starts making more money , their salary will increase as they will be able to afford the profit the company is making. The equipment are also an important investment as they will be needed in order to create the poster and audio advertisement. The posters and flyers will be placed and hand out in places like London, Dorking, Guildford and Epsom as they have lost of people from all over coming over to do shopping or to visits.   • 19. Location/ scheduling of advertisement The festival poster will be placed around different areas such as parks , shop windows, lamp posts , signs and billboards in local city’s e.g London, leatherhead , Epsom etc. The reason why for these locations is because they are highly visited and populated by the general public everyday, the more people who see these posters the more likely it will be to go to the festival. To place the advertisement on a billboard on average for a week would cost £200 per week but is some areas like London will cost up to £300 per week.
  • 20. Location recce For taking the photos I will be working in the studio with the model , using the stage lighting and natural lighting to see the differences . I will also be working in a park to capture a natural background image to place my model over it. When on location I will need to check for any hazards that could put my model or me in danger or cause an accident. For example in the studio lose wires , or another obstacles that we could trip on.
  • 21. Location recce Location: Time? Date? Why? The photo shoot had taken place on the 4th January 2018 and between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm . The reason why is because it is a flexible time for me and my photographer to work around, and get all the photos required for the poster in one day. Picture needed/Required Shot type Props/equipment Lighting Costume Person/people Why? The shots I used where a different arrange of close up , mid-shots and long shots. The only prop that was used was the flower crown and a pair of sunglasses. We used arrange of natural lighting and studio lighting to get the right shots . During the shoot the model change her positions to portray her mood or anything that made her feel comfy while being photographed. The reason why I am using a range of different shots ,is because I can choose the best images that will make the front cover and DPS. With these different angles you will be able to see her facial features and outfit. Permission needed Contact needed to evidence of this? The photoshoot took place in a studio that belonged to the artists so permission was given by the artists. We also took some images in a park which I did a risk assessment before letting my model onto location. The reason why I used a studio is because it is an environment that the artists is comfy with. Also with shooting in the park was the main purpose of the poster Potential hazards/ Risks Location specific why? While on location the only hazards that could come up are lose wires or any hair products, that will be used to style the models hair e.g. curling wand. The reason why having lose wires can be classed as an hazard is because someone could trip over them and hurt themselves . Also the curling wand can be a hazard as it can over heat or if not used and they could burn someone.
  • 22. Risk assessments You can see that I have completed two risk assessment as I have two different locations , as I need to make sure that the location is safe for me to shoot there and has no risks.
  • 23. Legal and ethical Constraints There are a few legal and ethical issues that need to be follow when carrying out my advertising campaign. Firstly, if I were to use any models it would be necessary to have the correct model release forms signed so that I have their consent. Secondly it would be important that no offensive or violent language is anywhere on my adverts and that everything stated on there is the truth otherwise there would be defamation and libel. I would need to make sure that all my products are copyrighted so that no one can copy my ideas and that if I am going to use bands’ logos for example that I have permission so that it would not be an offense. All these regulations could potentially affect my campaign message because any consumer could complain about if anything was misleading, for example the dates or who will be there, and to not promote for a younger youth where it may be potentially dangerous if they go so therefore it would be better to encourage the public of an older age and not persuade children that they want to go. Lastly you have royalties and this means that if I wanted to use the artists’ logos, for example, they would receive royalties because I’d want to use their work.   • 25. Conclusion To conclude I have looked at different layouts and styles which would look great on my festival poster. For my poster I have chosen the name of the festival which is ‘disco festival’ as it will link back to my magazine that I did in unit 13. I have also chosen a slogan , target audiences and a colour scheme this will help make my poster standout from the crowed .
