This is a presentation I completed for my Project & Portfolio I course at Full Sail University. It is a culmination of in depth analysis of the industry of sports entertainment and how I fit in. It also contains a self evaluation of where I am in the process of reaching my goal and what path I must follow to achieve success.
2. Born in California and raised by a former
professional athlete, you could say I was
destined to live a life
fi
lled with sports. I played
many sports growing up but came to love
football most, playing at the University of
Redlands. That is where I developed mental
toughness and extreme desire, two qualities
that de
fi
ne who I am today. Shortly after, I
began coaching college football and PA
announcing for local sports teams. I have always
dreamed of a career in sports, but I have
fi
nally
decided to pursue it. This passion led me to the
Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting at Full Sail
University where I can focus on developing the
skills necessary to achieve my goal.

14. Charles J. Yaeger IV
You know how some sport’s broadcasts can
become stale and boring? Well, what I do is
provide the audience with a broadcast that is
captivating through the use of my strong, recognizable, voice and
enthusiasm for sports that forces them to tune in until the end. In fact, I have
been PA announcing for local sports teams for almost 6 years and continue to
earn more work. This is because I have helped bring attendance numbers up
almost 37% higher by keeping fans engaged and excited by enhancing their in
person experience.
