2. Audience Profile
My audience will be males roughly between the age of 13 and 19. I
feel that my product will appeal well to them as I have gathered
primary research to find out that males of this age enjoy dark
games with violence. I feel that this will appeal to the male gender
more as they are most likely to play video games that revolve
around finding items and killing. As the game is violent it will also
include a lot of dark colours which will appeal to the male audience
more. This game will also appeal to this age range as they have the
most time to play games. They will also be more open minded and
a belonger psychographic as they will be more focused about being
the best. As they are more open minded at this game, the will be
more able to think and believe about make belief that is in the
game. Finally, the colours will also appeal to the audience as they
will be dark and dingy which I have found out that my audience like.
3. Style sheet- Colours
I decided to choose colors that are a lot
darker. As my game is dark game I will have
to use different shades of black, grey, silver
and brown. This lets me use the colors to
make different looking areas. Using dark
colors helps to set the mood of It being dark
and violent. As you can see on the images
they are roughly similar, this will make it
harder to make objects stand out if they are
the same colors but this will allow me to use
some vibrant colors to have an anomaly.
With these colors, I am also thinking of
mixing them. For example, if I use a dark
background, the monsters and characters will
be brighter to make them more visible.
Same, if the background is light, I will use a
dark color for important things.
4. Style sheet- Weapons
The weapons and armour shown are all
2D. This will allow them to be placed on
the ‘floor’ of the game easily. The majority
of the amours are medieval, this will give
the game battle themed affect. For
weapons there is a mix of modern and
medieval to show that there is more
powerful weapons than others. I will be
wanting to weapon such a swords and axes
can be classed as a common weapon and
can be found anywhere in the game where
as weapons like the guns are rare and can
be got by opening special chests or killing
boss monsters. Finally armour will have a
class system so the player can easily see If
it is worth keeping.
7. Sound Effects/Dialogue
Sound Effects
I will need to make music for each area of the map. Ill make this with garage band
I need sound effects for attacking and damage, they can be made on beep box.
I will need to use beep box to make sound effects such as monster growls
Garage band will help me make the sound effects for the foot steps and opening
doors, chests and menu opening.
8. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
the computer I use might switch itself off
randomly at any point
I shall make sure to save regular so make sure
that I wont loose lots of work.
The computer I chose to use might not be
compatible with Photoshop.
Either complete something else in the mean
time or log onto a different computer.
I might make a mistake while on Photoshop
creating the characters and settings.
I can use the step backwards tool and start
again or I could create a template to follow.
The computer itself might not be working or
might be damaged.

9. Health and Safety
