2. Audience Profile
My audience is for 16-19 year olds. There will be elements of
violence but no real-time deaths, when an enemy is shot, they will
flash and disappear. I won’t include gruesome blood splatters or
shots, to keep the game at an appropriate level. This means that it
is suitable for younger children as well as teenagers. There will be
minimal gruesome violence, keeping it family friendly for all
ages/genders, making a diverse game for all. It will be for gamers
and non-gamers, as it progressive and doesn’t need too much
attention to play, as it is simple concept. My product would appeal
to this age group as it is a mobile game, perfect for those who
enjoy playing handheld games. Teenagers are over stereotyped to
spend the most time on their phones – its true, we are lucky
enough to have had them at our fingertips. It will be available at
any time of day for those to use, just at a swipe of a finger.
3. Style sheet
The colour scheme I am going
to use for my buildings, using
a gold for the roofs.
The shadings I am going to use
for the sky and clouds (using
the lighter shades).
I am going to use these
colours for the street floor
|(where the characters will
be running on.)
The style and shading that I
am going to use for the
main characters outfit. It is
a traditional Chinese
warrior outfit, as seen in
the film Mulan, set in
ancient China.
The other enemy outfit will a
mixture of blacks and greys, to
make them look darker, which will
make the player think they are bad.
I am going to add texture to the floor that the characters will
run on, to make it look more realistic. It will give the game
extra details to make it that little it better and more in depth.
This will also make it look as if the characters are running along
a street, rather then just a block of concrete.
The floor on my game will look
more similar to this floor from
Pixel Dungeon.

8. Sound Effects/Dialogue
Sound Effects
A theme tune using a koto and other traditional Chinese instruments to create a fitting
background song.
A short “smash” or a sword sound when the main character hits/kills an enemy, using
samurai swords.
A “ping” noise when choosing an option (on the menu or pausing the game), small
details add to the whole game.
A slow tune on a loading screen or menu. More fast paced when in game play, adds
intensity to the game, making it more high stakes and quick.
9. Contingency Planning
Potential Issue Solution
Loosing progress due to not backing up or
overwriting.
Make sure everything is named different and
has been backed up.
The buildings/background not looking the way I
wanted them too.
Practice at home, drawing different styles of
buildings to perfect them.
The music not downloading properly or not
matching the game.
Practice as much as I can so I can create the
perfect sound track.
Not having enough time to finish my game Use my time wisely and get as much as I can do
at college and some at home.
10. Health and Safety
Potential Issue How will the issue be
avoided?
Loosing all content I have created. Back them up both at home and college,
meaning I'm not relying solely on my usb stick.
Accidently delete my blog post on blogger Make sure I save it properly and log out fully.
Ruining the hardware that holds my work Keep bottles of water firmly closed and away
from my computer.
