I can also say that this story can connect with most detectives regardless of culture or location. The

The Chain of Command in the Military and 2nd and 3rd order effects.
The chain of command is defined as an official hierarchy of authority that dictates who is in charge of
whom and of whom permission must be asked.
There is a chain of command evident in multiple forms. There is a chain of command in households
with parental figures and family hierarchy, in every structured organization, within workplaces and
largely in the military.
The military chain of command is in place to provide the control and the communication necessary to
accomplish the mission. There are multiple levels of organizations and each level is responsible for a
lower level which are all accountable to each of the higher levels. There must be loyalty within the
chain to each level for the system to work properly. With devotion of loyalty to the hierarchy this can
be an extremely effective and efficient system for accomplishing tasks and keeping the chain of
command informed. The goal is to solve problems, and find answers at the lowest possible level,
issuing orders downward and receiving clarification and resolving problems upward.
When a mission is in place there is a team effort in the chain of command to accomplish those tasks
representing that mission. One example is when a state is ready to deploy, they receive a notification
of sourcing from National Guard Bureau. The task is brought to me by my chain of command. I begin

universities have banned tobacco use on campus. The University of Nebraska Lincoln currently allows
smoking provided that the smoker is not within the prohibited areas 10 feet away from some buildings
and 25 feet from other buildings (4). The university is the only institution in the University of
Nebraska system that does not have a tobacco free policy. Other Nebraska institutions of higher
education including Creighton University, Bellevue University, Clarkson College, College of Saint
Mary, York College and the Nebraska Methodist College have adopted smoke free campus policies
(5). However, the university has as well adopted a new tobacco free policy that is going to save life of
many college students. Effective January 1, 2018, the University of Nebraska (NU) Central
Administration and University of Nebraska Lincoln will become tobacco free and smoke free
campuses (6).

achieve successful pregnancy after twelve months or more of regular unprotected sexual intercourse.4
Reproduction either in vivo or in vitro is dependent on the presence of viable gametes (sperm and
ovum), a successful sperm to ovum interaction; fertilization and an effective implantation of the
fertilized ovum onto the endometrial wall of the uterus.3 In a study carried out in south western
Nigeria, the common causes of infertility were: tubal factor (39.5%), uterine factor (30%), and ovarian
factor (13%).5 Other causes included cervical factor (3%), pelvic inflammatory disease PID (5.5%),
and endometriosis (2.5%).5
In vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment offers the highest pregnancy rate irrespective of the cause of

on their personalities. It also shows us Lennie s strength and accidental violence

moments with far out shots. When Lennie and George are hiding in the ditch there is a close up shot,
but when they are traveling to the ranch, there is a far away shot. This helps the reader understand the

Gary Sinise, the director of the film, does a good job of portraying Salinas as an old Western town. He
