2. Final cut express:
Things I found good about it-
I found that final cut express
gives you many options to
modify your video and make it
better.
I also find that it is very easy
to cut the video which means
less errors for mistake if it is
easier to do.
I also found it very easy to be
able to overlap different
things like the music, videos
and adding in a manual timer
that we did..
Final cut express:
Things I found bad about it-
I found that final cut express
was quite hard to originally
get use to and I didn’t know
how to work it meaning it was
more time consuming.
Also I have had trouble with
finding the font button which
has made it harder for me to
add titles considering it has
disappeared.
You cant view it full screen
and therefore it is hard to see
the full effect of the video.
What I have learnt from final cut is it is actually very easy to use once you know all the conventions of it
and therefore it has more effective outcomes when editing your professional videos.
3. YouTube:
I found YouTube useful
because-
it had many links which
helped me either work out
how to use final cut or sort
out any issues I was having on
the software.
Also YouTube was good
because it helped me view
other films opening
sequences which gave me
ideas for my own one. Such as
I watched se7en which our
idea came from.
YouTube:
I found YouTube not helpful
because-
You are unable to take videos
and music from there to
interpret into your own movie
because it is copy right and
therefore it was hard to
compose your own music.
Also YouTube has so many
different videos on there it is
sometimes hard to find what
you want/looking for because
there are so many options.
What I have learnt from YouTube is that it comes in handy when you have to research how to do
something. Also it is handy wen you are looking at other films of your genre to get and idea of how to
improve yours.
4. Garage Band:
I found garage band very
useful because:
This allowed us to create our
own music which adds to the
feel of our opening sequence
and really brings it alive.
Also it helps with having loads
of different options and
variety of sounds to put
together to form music.
Another con is because it has
an array of loops which really
helps as they are pre-set and
then you don’t have to try and
figure out different notes to
put together to start from
scratch.
Garage Band:
I found garage band not
useful because:
I had to get someone to help
me work out how to use it as
it Is very difficult to grasp if
you haven’t done it before on
there.
Also I found that things could
easily go wrong with it, like it
not saving properly but also
easily deleting beats as well
by accident.
I have learnt from garage band that it has many different genres and type opf music that can suit your
genre, you just need to look out for the different loops and understand how to overlap instruments.
5. Blogger:
I found blogger useful
because-
It kept everything we needed
in one area.
You can also modify how it
looks to make t look better
and have it in chronological
order to that is neat and
organised.
It is also really easy to get use
to and has many different
aspects of it in which we
could use different
technologies and still upload
them onto here.
Blogger:
I found blogger not very
useful because-
If you upload a lot of stuff
sometimes it is harder to put
into an order as you have to
go through a lot of effort in
order to make it in the right
time order.
What I have learnt from blogger is there are many different ways to upload all different files And that
allows you to use more technologies and makes it easier go to all your files and they are all in one
place.
6. Disadvantages of camera:
The disadvantages of this camera
was that when filming you
couldn’t see full screen what you
were shooting sometimes as the
different settings were playing up
and sometimes had to film bits
through the tiny eye whole which
made it hard to see what you
were filming and then when you
look back and see it was wobbly
or didn’t get everything in the
screen you had to re-do it which
wasted time.
Advantages of camera:
The advantages of this camera is it
is very hi-tech.
This means we could get a clear
shot with high focus demand on
the lense and it meant none of
our shots were blurry unless we
unfocused it on purpose for
distortion.
Also it came with a stand which
made a steady shot and therefore
was more professional when
looking back.
It was easy to figure out what was
needed to make the camera film
and it had many options in order
to make the shot suit us.
What I have learnt from the camera is that is very vital that you make sure you have it on the right
setting in order to get the best quality picture/videos you would like which therefore makes your video
better.
7. Summary:
• Overall- I have learnt that the most important thing when using these
is to save as you go along. This makes it easier to access previous
work you have done on them. Also you need to explore the different
uses of each in order to find things which will improve them and your
knowledge of the software. Some of them you need to watch
tutorials on or videos in order for you to know all the different
aspects and if you have any issues.
