1. What have I learnt about technologies from the
process of constructing this product?
While filming our project we used a wide variety of differently
products which I have never used before, it was something new to
me but I was excited to learn about the new technologies and how to
use them.
The first thing I was new to using was the filming equipment, I have
never used a filming camera before but it was very simple and easy
to use, I was the only person in my group who hadn’t studied media
previously and I picked up how to use the equipment very easy. One
thing I did struggle with using was a tripod, I felt that it got in the way
quite a lot and I found the camera hard to control because of it being
on the tripod, it was something I wasn’t use to and I felt a lot more
comfortable not using the tripod because I was the person who did
the filming. The only problem I had without using the tripod was that
the camera was uneasy at some points and we had to film the same
shot several times to make sure it looked smooth.
Another thing I was new to was the software we used to edit our film
which is Adobe Premiere Pro. We could use this software to edit our
videos and add in music and sound effects to make the film better. I
had never used it before and it took me a while to understand how
to use it, one way I tried to learn was by watching YouTube videos of
people demonstrating different things you could do on the software,
it helped me a lot and I am not a lot more experienced in using the
software so if I ever had to use it again I would know what I was
doing. I don’t know how to work everything on the software but I can
use all the basic things that I needed to use to edit my film together.
Another thing that worked well with using Premiere Pro was
YouTube Audio Library, this was a place where you could find and
use music and clips for your film that were copyright free, the music

2. and sounds I used in my film were very simple sounds so they
weren’t that hard to find.
I was happy with my final piece because I am new to media and did
struggle when it came to learning everything but I think I produced a
film to the best of my ability. Although I think if I was to do it again I
would know where I needed to improve and would be able to make
a media product which is even better than my one I have just made
