активність, мовну здогадку, вміння швидко та раціонально приймати
рішення, логічно мислити, працювати в команді;
Стимулювати бажання вивчати та спілкуватися англійською мовою у
здобувачів освіти.
Клас: 8-11 кл.
Обладнання: мультимедійна презентація PowerPoint, записи саундтреків до
гри, ноутбук, екран, проєктор.
Пояснення: У грі беруть участь дві або три команди. Кожна команда
складається з чотирьох-шести учасників. Командам запропоновані
24 запитання з обранням однієї правильної відповіді із трьох варіантів. Усі
запитання поділені на 6 блоків («Geography», «National Symbols», «History»,
«Famous People», «Music», «Famous Places»); кожен блок має по 4 запитання,
які оцінюються у 50, 100, 150 та 200 балів відповідно до складності. Команда
може обрати на табло будь-який номер запитання від 1-го до 24-го, проте
лише один раз для кожного з них. Правильну відповідь на кожне запитання
можна дізнатися, натиснувши на відповідне поле на слайді під запитанням.
Переможцем стає команда, яка за підсумками гри набере найбільшу кількість
балів.

Procedure
Teacher: Dear friends! You are welcome to our intellectual game «Wonderful
Ukraine». I hope, it’ll be rather interesting for you and you’ll have a good time.
So we have 24 questions which are divided into 6 topics about our
Motherland – Ukraine. They are «Geography», «National Symbols», «History»,
«Famous People», «Music», «Famous Places». Every topic has 4 questions on 50,
100, 150, 200 points. There are 3 variants for every question, but the right answer
is one. You may choose any question from any topic, but only once! After
answering all the questions our honorable jury will calculate all the points together
and we’ll know the winner according to the total score.
So, be attentive, listen to all the questions and try to give the right answers. I
wish you good luck!
Warm-up
Teacher: To know what team will choose the question first/second/third, you
should answer the question: When was the first university in Eastern Europe
established? (slide 2) You should say the year when it happened.
