3. Research
• Research helped me a lot because I got to play some games to see how
make up games work and what children and teens like, it also helped me
to figure out what I can do new, such as having a different gender and
different races. However it was hard to do something like this because
there’s already so many games like this on the internet.
• Next time I hope I don’t get covid because it was a pain to catch up on
everything. Next time I want to improve on more detail in my game and
also try to challenge myself by making it harder.
4. Planning
• I knew what I wanted to do straight away so I knew planning was going to
be easy. However it was a struggle to find ways on how to make sure I’m
not offending anyone by adding different genders and races, because I
didn’t want to do anything wrong with that side of things. It helped with
my product because I wanted to make sure that I got all the right colours
and what makeup product to use and what not to use. And what sounds I
should use for my game. Next time I want to improve on more research on
how to make the audience more happy and not annoyed or affended.
5. Time Management
• My time management is all up to date, I manged to catch up with
everyone else, but I still have a lot to do. Next time to make it easier for
myself I’m going to plan ahead and get my sounds before I make the game
or whatever else I’ll be making in the future. Next time I would like to add
more detail so I get more marks however this subject is one of my weakest
so I will have to concentrate more to get stuff done.
6. Technical Qualities
They both have makeup in the frame and similar
Colours as well.
They both have background music and sound effects
So people don’t get bored while they’re playing the
Game.
This one is much better
Quality and it’s more
Detailed as well.
She doesn’t have any
Eyebrows which is something
I can improve on next time as
Well.
7. Aesthetic Qualities
My work looks okay for the amount of time I had to get everything done. It’s creative for me
because I’m not the most creative person, when I first found out we was doing this project I
Was a bit uncomfortable because I know that pixel and game making is one of my weakest
Projects to do. Next time I want to improve on the movement parts of the subject, and
Improve my photoshop game. My strengths was actually drawing the characters (apart from I
Forgot the eyebrow) and I enjoy that part, but my weaknesses is actually getting my character to
Move.
I thought that purple was a good colour
for my game because it's a colour that
people can't get mad at because it's not
a 'girls' or a 'boys' colour, it's something
that the public will be happy with.
I chose to do makeup
because I know that
most people these
days will have
something to do with
makeup in their life
time. Also people can
get creative with make
up and try different
styles.
The only thing that I would add to my
work is give her eye browse, because she
looks a little bit weird without them.
8. Audience Appeal
I appealed to my audience because this game was for those who like makeup
and this game is about make up and they can get creative with looks. And
also it's stuck to the age range because I feel like if I was a young child or a
young teen I would want to play this game. If I had more time I would of done
a girl and a by like how I said I was going to do but in the end I didn't have
enough time. My game should hopefully have an appeal to my audience and
my cover will make them get inspired to play my game.
