6. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• It has mostly light colours including green and blue which are seen
the most. Majority of the images are pixel art while only a couple of
them aren’t. The font is also pixelated and the images relate to a
more natural environment.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
This will help me look back on it if I need to so I can remember my
initial ideas and the overall theme of the animation I’m doing.
7. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept Pixel animation of a cat that goes on a mini adventure to find some treats. This is set
in a forest and has obstacles you need to avoid.
Type of
products you
would make
My animation is a pixel platformer adventure game which is similar to a game called
Cat Bird.
What you will
need to make
them
I can research Cat Bird and watch gameplay videos and trailers to gain inspiration. I
can also find out which games are similar to it to find out more information and help
with ideas.
Audience Females aged 10-18 who are interested in pixel games, platformers or cats.
Secondary audience could be males aged 10-18.
8. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
Magazine design • I didn’t have many ideas for this so it was
hard for me to think of anything I could
make. I thought I could make a poster to
advertise a product but I decided to go
with something else because I wanted to
do something different.
Short film • I had little to no ideas for what I could
film and although I quite like filming, I
felt like doing something else. My initial
thought was that I could do a day in the
life but I decided against it.
