Milk and Dairy Products
Consumer behaviour in dairy products in Kosovo 311 ANALYSIS OF CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR
IN REGARD TO DAIRY PRODUCTS IN KOSOVO Bytyqi Hysen*, Vegara Mensur**, Gjonbalaj
Muje, Mehmeti Hajrip, Gjergjizi Halim, Miftari Iliriana and Bytyqi Njazi* ABSTRACT Consumer
behaviour in Kosovo in respect of dairy products (white cheese, yoghurt, fruit yoghurt, Sharri cheese,
curd and caciocavalo) was studied during 2007 using different socio economic variables assessed by
so called evaluation criteria 1 5. The objective of study was to possibly identify effect of different
variables on consumer decision upon purchase of dairy products. Dairy products were perceived
differently at various types of purchasing places. The most important socio economic variables ...

About two third of total milk and milk products produced in Kosovo is considered to be used for
family consumption or sold in green market , while one third is imported (3). Last year history in
Kosovo is characterized with transition process of centralized economy to oriented open and free
market approach. Many economies of developing countries do not pay attention and undervalue the
consumer behaviours. Kapsdorferova and Nagyova (6) present the consumer as a last component but
most important one in food chain. About consumer behaviours on milk products, different studies
(8,9) show existence of significant differences between consumer behaviours in different countries. J.

ration taken, especially analyzing different socio economic group; of high importance, investigation of
different effects of marketing (i,e. advertisements, leaflets, etc.) socioeconomic characteristics upon

Reflection Of The Bauhaus Movement
Introduction
The Bauhaus was established by Walter Gropius (1883 1969)in Germany ,according to the Bauhaus
interiors , the Bauhaus is actually a word which has been inverted( suahuab) from a German term
which means building house or house construction ( The Bauhaus Movement, 2012) .
Johannes Itten (1888 1967) was the one who initially established the heart of Bauhaus education
(Meggs 1998:279) which was the prefatory course. In the year 1923, Johannes Itten left the Bauhaus
due to the fact of disagreement about the conduct of this course (Meggs 1998:279), which was his
methodology of direct experience sought to develop perceptual awareness, intellectual abilities, and
emotional experience (B. Meggs, 1998). Walter Gropius was the focal point of the arts and crafts since

Third-Person Shooter Game Analysis
In a third person shooter game, the player s character is seen on the screen whereas in a first person
shooter game, the screen is viewed through the eyes of the character. The video game industry has
made great advances since the 1970 s when gaming images were simplistic and therefore not very
graphic nor realistic (Gentile, Lynch, Linder, Walsh, 2004). Nowadays, with the prevalence of highly
violent and realistic video games involving person to person brutality, there are rising concerns
regarding its effects on users real life thoughts and behaviors particularly in youth.
Playing a first person shooter game blurs the line between fantasy and reality even more than third
person because as a first shooter, the player feels as though he ... Show more content on

Bandura states people are more likely to attend to, recall, and imitate media violence that they believe
could exist in real life (Bandura, 1965 as cited in Brewer, 2011, p.17). Also in first person shooter
games, the player and his or her surroundings tends to look more realistic, such as in Grant Theft
Auto. It has a higher rate of sensory realism, which refers to to formal features of a representation that
progressively simulates the same experience in the natural environment (Williams Clippinger, 2002).
When playing a first person shooter game, players may feel more personally targeted, since they are
witnessing and conducting violent actions as if they are the character. This can lead players to
experience higher levels of identification and engagement with the violence. For example, when
describing the gaming experience, players of a first person game may say, I just got shot. Previous
research has shown heighten aggression occurs as a result of playing first person video games, due to
the player s identification with the virtual characters (Anderson Bushman, 2001, and Tamborini et al.,
2004 as cited in Jeong, Biocca, Back, 2012, p.1842) enhancing of one s presence (Schneider et al.,

Breed s Hill Analysis
How to take manage of the hill. So it got here to be that standard Prescott did not clearly improve
Bunker s Hill, however Breed s Hill as an alternative. How did this appear? One proposed concept is
that Colonel William Prescott, due to the fact that fortifying the hill in the midnight, selected the
wrong hill. any other principle is that the map the Colonel used become wrong, because many maps in
the course of this era had usually misidentified the hills. every other idea, and probable the most
sensible, is that Breed s Hill is towards in which the British ships had been located allowing the
colonists a higher attacking role than at Bunker Hill. no matter the purpose, the struggle of Bunker
Hill without a doubt occurred on Breed s Hill.

Importance Of Voting In Texas
Texas has a long ballot, which is an election system that provides for the election that lists all
candidates, for all positions, from all political parties, available to a specific voting district. The long
ballot includes the president and vice president, two U.S. senators, U.S. Representatives, governor of
Texas and five other state executive officials, three railroad commissioners, one member of the State
Board of Education (SBOE), one state senator, one state representatives, nine members if the Texas
Supreme Court, Nine members of the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, at least two and as many as 70
or more state appellate and district court judges, and numerous local officials varying in city officials
to county executives. Being that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Had the ballot been shorter, they believe their decisions could have had more knowledgeable. I believe
that it is important to be well informed when going to vote, and it has now been brought to my
attention that the ballot will contain many positions to vote on, so I will be sure to research candidates
and show up to the voting station informed and sure of my decisions. In Texas, there are a few types of
elections held: general elections, primary elections, runoff elections and special elections. The general
election is held in November of even years statewide to fill state and national offices. The primary is
an election held within each party to choose the party s candidates for general elections. Runoff
elections are held if no candidate in the primary election receives the majority of votes. Special
elections are held outside of the regular election calendar to fill unexpected vacancies. Because Texas
holds a few types of elections, people believe Texas has too many elections, but I disagree and find
that the amount of elections held are necessary to access situations such as vacancies and allow for
voters to practice their right to vote more

Green Day American Idiot
While many people will not credit punk band Green Day and political influence Malcom X to preach
similar beliefs, they do happen to have a great deal in common. Comparing Green Day s 2004 song
American Idiot to Malcom X s speech God s Judgement of White America (The Chickens Come
Home to Roost) as presented on December 4, 1963 prior to his departure of the Nation of Islam, a
clearly common variable is prominent throughout the entirety of both mediums: the rapidly
deteriorating nature of America. Malcom X begins his speech with an analogy comparing the downfall
of ancient Egypt and Babylon and many other ancient times to the ensuing downfall of America. His
prediction that the enslavement of millions of black people in this country is

Piglet Body Farm Analysis
My group started this Piglet Body Farm Analysis on October 4th, where we began taking notes and
observing them on a daily basis. We started with thirteen different piglets and watched them
decompose over a month s time. Each specimen had different death situations. The specimens were as
followed; Specimen 0 with clothes hanging, specimen 0 without clothes hanging, specimen 1 clothed
lying on the blacktop, specimen 2 without clothing on the blacktop, specimen 3 clothed on the grass,
specimen 4 without clothing on the grass, specimen 5 clothed partly buried, specimen 6 naked partly

Gabby more specifically thought the piglet on the concrete would decompose first because it is left in
the sun. She thought the sun combined with the bugs would increase the rate of decomposition. If a
piglet was left suspended it could be placed in the shade and less bugs would reach it. Laney thought,
Yes, it might decompose slower because everything goes to the head instead of staying in the original
areas, or since everything goes to the head it might just decompose mostly in the head and everything
fall out .
Another question that we put a theory to was, Does a piglet decompose faster if it is on the grass/dirt
versus being on the cement? I, Allison, thought a piglet on the grass would decompose faster than on
the cement. Gabby thought it was more likely for decomposition to occur faster on grass because there
are more bugs in the grass. Laney also agreed the piglets on the grass would decompose faster because
bugs could reach the body faster and help with decomposition. By remaining on the cement, bugs
would not be attracted to it as

The Adventure of Cedric Caedmon Anláf
In the south eastern part of England a boy named Cedric Caedmon Anláf. Cedric was a mischievous
boy since birth and was always trying to steal something. When word came about Robin Hood the
giver to the poor this set Cedric on a path of greatness.
You see when he heard and saw that people adored Robin he said to himself why not I start to steal
things for the poor as well. Cedric started his plan the next day. For about 5 months he stole from the
rich and gave to the poor and his life was the best it had been. But then he was caught stealing from
the sheriff of nottingham and was thrown in jail.
He was in jail for 2 weeks and then the jailer was walking down the hall with a new prisoner (little did
he know that it was Robin Hood, for Cedric had never seen him before.) Robin was thrown in jail
right next to Cedric. Cedric asked him why he was thrown in jail. Robin had been staring at the door
for quite some time with a stern face but looked at Cedric. He said Well I was caught trying to steal
something and give it to someone. Right then Cedric knew exactly who he was Your Robin Hood aren

Use Of Similes In Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar
One often hears the saying, Don t judge a man until you have walked a mile in their shoes. The way an
author uses similes can help the reader better understand how the character feel and what they re going
through like Sylvia Plath in The Bell Jar. Esther Greenwood, a college student, working at a month
long job as a guest editor for a fashion magazine feels like an outcast from the rest of the girls; she
doesn t seem to fit in. When she arrives back home, she receives several bad news leads her into
thinking suicide is the best thing to do. After multiple failed attempts, she is put into a mental hospital
where she will gain hope in life and finally discover who she really is. In Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar,
there are several instances in which the author uses similes to illustrate a more detailed
image/description to better portray how the main character felt during her New York job, her suicide
attempts, and at her stay at the mental institution. During The Bell Jar, Sylvia Plath used similes to
highlight Esther s characteristic of a wallflower during her trip to New York. After Frankie, one of
Lenny s friend abandones Esther, he is forced to take her and Doreen to his apartment. Lenny
obviously wanting privacy with Doreen he asks her to go but Doreen defends Esther and says she will
only go with the do any of her friend. From there on, Esther feels unwanted and ignored while she
spends time at Lenny s place. Plath describes Esther s abandonment while Lenny and Doreen dance, I
felt myself shrinking to a small black dot against all those red and white rugs and that pine paneling. I
felt like a hole in the ground (Plath 16). Esther feels left out while her best friend and a stranger dance.
The simile expresses how she felt invisible and ignored. The author tries to relate to the reader who
once in their life may have felt outcastes or left out. Esther has a tendency to feel terrible about
herself. From the beginning of the story, she explains how she feels different and not in the right place.
The author wrote, The city had faded my tan, though. I looked yellow as a Chinaman. Ordinarily, I
would have been nervous a about my dress and my odd color, but being with Doreen made me forget

1880-1920 s
Professors Bergland s main point about the 1880 1920 s was the fascination and exploration with
nature and death. In the poems that Professor Bergland showed us, Emily Dickson wrote about nature
and her thoughts on how nature affected the world and science. My understand of the period from
1880 to1920 was that education was not mandatory for females. When females attended college, they
were taught science and math because it did not have a role in society. Males on the other hand
learned literature and politics because they would go on to graduate and have an active and high role
in society. At the college Dickson attended, Mount Holyoke, religion was heavily stressed. Not many
females finished college, majority dropped out before entering

Symbolism In The Talented Mr. Ripley By Patricia Highsmith
The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith, set in 1950s in a somewhat vibrant, jazz influenced
Italy, gives a vivid insight into the mind of a small time conman turned psychopath. It also provides us
with the central concepts of amorality, paranoia and how that survival and greed for money can turn
almost ordinary people uncaring and self indulgent. Highsmith s use of third person narrative is an
effective technique and is used to expand on the thesis of morality in the novel . Tom Ripley, a man in
his mid 20 s, claims he is close friends with Richard Dickie Greenleaf, when in reality, he doesn t
really know Dickie at all. (3) Approached by the wealthy Herbert Greenleaf, Tom is asked to retrieve
his son, Dickie, from Italy. (3) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

There were also small details that were changed, but overall I did not enjoy the movie as much I
thought I was going to after reading the book. In the same way that every mystery is exciting until you
find the logical explanation, the film is intriguing because you don t have the luxury of knowing Tom
s background, or why he covets Dickie s lifestyle. It was because of these changes, even though some
were minor that I did not enjoy the movie. I do understand though that in order to appeal to a more
broad audience the producers had to add and change details in order for it to be more appealing. The
differences did not make the movie unexciting, but the book is definitely better. The book provides a

The culture of ancient Rome existed throughout its nearly 1200 year history. It refers to the culture of
the Roman Republic, later known as the Roman Empire, which at its prime covered a large area from
Lowland Scotland and Morocco to the Euphrates. Life in ancient Rome was centered around the city
of Rome with its famed seven hills, and its monumental architecture. The city of Rome was the largest
megalopolis of its time, with a population that might well have exceeded one million people. The
center of the early social structure, dating back from the time of the agricultural tribal city state, was
the family, which was not only marked by blood relations but also by the legally constructed relation

The very direct back lighting casts hard shadows, but also illuminates every gallon of water coming

Graduate Student, University of Nebraska Lincoln, Lincoln, NE:
DESCRIPTION. The Universal Nonverbal Intelligence Test (UNIT) is an individually administered
test consisting of tasks designed to measure the general intelligence and cognitive abilities (manual, p.
1). The test is designed to assess individuals from age 5 to 17 years. The test is entirely nonverbal,
thus it is especially suitable for children and adolescents who have speech, language, or hearing
impairments; color vision deficiencies; different cultural or language backgrounds, and those who are
verbally uncommunicative (manual, p. 1). The examiner uses relatively universal hand and body
gestures to provide directions and indicate responses. The test includes demonstration items where the
examiner indicates how to complete an item, sample items where examiner feedback is permitted,
checkpoint items where the examiner can correct the incorrect responses, and scored items which do
not allow for examiner feedback (manual, p. 2).

Prostitution Is The Oldest Profession
When looking into Prostitution women are usually thought to be the lowest form a part of the human
species, people make assumptions as to why a women would even bother with the idea of subjecting
herself to harsh treatment by others, people often correlate the idea of prostitution with human
trafficking. That each of these categories are of association, prostitution is the practice or occupation
of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment. While human trafficking is the illegal
movement of people, typically for the purposes of forced labor or commercial sexual exploitation.
Each of these subjects demonstrates different meanings but express the same sense of ideas, which
will be looked into too.
Prostitution it is the oldest profession, in fact there is evidence that the exchange of sex for money
goes back into our distant past. In a recent study chimpanzees were taught to use a rudimentary form
of money. (Puiu, 2011) They were given puzzles to solve and then received colored discs and then
they directed that in order to obtain treats they would need to exchange their colored discs. Soon later
on in the experiment the mammals exhibited more advance behaviors and began buying and selling or
trading sexual favors; it just seemed instinctive. Human females unlike most of our close animal
relatives do not go into estrus but stay sexually receptive all the time. One reason for this is that
human children require care for a long time. So, a female with child must

Comparing The Holocaust And Armenian Genocide
According to Google, a genocide is the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those
of a particular ethnic group or nation. The Holocaust and Armenian Genocide are both considered
genocides. Both of these genocides compare in many ways. They both had a belief that a race was
superior to another race and they were both starved. They are also different in many ways. They were
killed in different ways, and the roles of women were different. The Armenian Genocide was planned
ahead of time by the leader Talat Pasha from the Ottoman Empire. It started in the Turkish parliament
when they started to arrest Armenian diplomats, writers, journalists, and lawmakers, and then killing
them. They were all told they were going to be in an army. The Armenian were raped, tortured, and
killed. This genocide ended in 1923. This is when modern Turkey was established. Pasha ran away to
Germany and was convicted of genocide in absentia. The Holocaust started with Adolf Hitler as the
Nazi Leader. He believed Germans were superior to Jews. He gathered up all the Jews and put them in
concentration camps and tortured to to literal death. They were barely fed and their bodies were
pushed to the absolute limit. One way that the Holocaust and Armenian Genocide compare is that in

there were differences too. The main way of death for the Jews was cremation. For the Armenian,

being burned alive. Another way these genocides differ is the role of women. In the Armenian
Genocide, women were raped and forced to be slaves. In the Holocaust, women that were mothers

Therefore, since independence, the main objective of Pakistan s foreign policy has been to protect its
territorial integrity against a possible attack from India to ensure national security from external
threats. An important aspect of Pakistan s foreign policy is that its relations with India mainly
determine its attitude towards the other nations. It has conjured up threat from India, and by constantly
harping on its fear of India; Pakistan has tried to win the sympathy of the superpowers. However, the
basic force behind Pakistan foreign policy is its security and survival, both economic and military.
However, the very nature of the state system breeds feelings of insecurity, distrust, suspicion, and fear.
This atmosphere produces a constant competition for power in which each state, to reduce its
insecurity, seeks to enhance its power relative to that of a possible foe. If a state perceives its
neighbour as a potential enemy, it tries to deter an attack or political coercion by becoming a little
stronger than its neighbour, or at least as strong. The neighbour, in turn, also fears attack or political
intimidation. It understands that its best interests lie in increasing its strength to forestall either
contingency or, if necessary, in winning a war, should matters go that far.
There was very strong perception among the Congress leaders that Pakistan is not economically viable
state and it could not survive. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad revealed that among others Sardar

Virulence Factors Of Cryptoccus Neoformans
Cryptococcus neoformans (Cn) is a basidiomycete fungus that causes cryptococcosis worldwide in
immunodeficiency and healthy individuals. In this pathogen, the elaboration of virulence factors
including melanin and the capsule depends on intact intracellular trafficking, an essential cellular
process also required for nutrient uptake, ion homeostasis, and receptor recycling. Our previous
studies have found that Cn evolves a cryptococcal intersectin (Cin1) regulated endocytic pathway
essential for growth and virulence. We have also obtained evidence linking Cin1 to extracellular RNA
through RNA Seq and to CNS survival through co infection of a mouse model of cryptococcosis.
However, how Cin1 governs the transport network affecting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Specifically, we will find if Cin1 orchestrates the only endocytic pathway and how it affects host
parasite interaction through regulating exRNA transport and mouse CNS survival. We propose three
specific aims: Aim 1 is to determine if Cin1 mediates the sole endocytic pathway in Cn through
identification and characterization of pathway components. Aim 2 is to examine the role of Cin1 in
exRNA export through continued annotation and analysis of RNA Seq data. Aim 3 is to further
explore the CNS survival advantage of Cin1 S by generating the Cin1 L strain using one step CRISPR
Cas9 mutagenesis method we recently developed and testing it through co infection.
Our central hypothesis is that intracellular trafficking is important in pathogen growth and interaction
with a host resulting pathogenesis (our long term goal). We propose those specific aims to test the
hypothesis that Cn evolves a distinct Cin1 endocytic pathway necessary for pathogenesis (short term
goal). Through studying a fundamental cellular process and its adaptation to pathogenesis of Cn, our
investigation could lead to the discovery of novel antifungal targets. 2. Specific Aims
Cryptococcus neoformans (Cn) virulence depends on active transport of vesicles that contain melanin
and capsule precursors, proteinases, and other macromolecules. We found that Cin1 is critical in
mediating intracellular trafficking affecting growth and virulence and that Cin1 S isoform exhibits a
marked survival advantage in the

I Have A Dream Short Story
M.L.K once said I have a dream.... Now my mom is saying, I have a dream to go to America, and
make my kids well educated. Our family does not really have good education; however, my uncle did
go to college. Long before I was born my grandma, her son, and her daughters actually immigrated
from Bhutan to Nepal. My family are Nepali, but they just lived in Bhutan. I don t really know the
story, but they had to immigrate from Bhutan, for the government did not like them being there. At
least that s what I ve heard. I guess we are moving for the American dream , or to get a better life.
Some of my uncles, aunts, and cousins are already in Boston. So it won t be too bad. In the afternoon
(while we packed) we had a conversation about moving: I can t wait to get a job, mom said cheerfully,
and send you guys to a college. But aren t you going to miss Nepal? I asked her with a confused, and a
serious face. We will obviously come and visit Nepal she shook her head You dummy. How about
grandma, cousins, and uncle? Aren t you going to miss them? my sister questioned mom like she was
a interviewer. They will also come to Boston in like three, or four months, she sighed Now, no more
questions kids. Later that night I could not go to sleep. I was too worried about moving to Boston.
Starting a new life won t be easy because making new friends in a place where there are kids from
different countries, and I don t even know English good enough. It looks like I

The Maintenance Of International Peace And Security
General James Jones, former head of EUCOM says that We are attempting to avoid Africa from
becoming the next Afghanistan or Iraq, (Paterson, 2008, p. 15). The maintenance of international
peace and security are the main responsibilities of the UN. The UN Security Council plays a critical
role in peacekeeping. Many peacekeeping operations have been operating all around the world since
the UN was established. However, most of the peacekeeping operations have been taking place on the
African continent more than other continents. The continent of Africa has become increasingly violent
since the end of World War II and the situation has changed to be larger and more complex. As a
result, around 8 million African people have died in different ... Show more content on

It is clear that some of the UN missions have received many restrictions from the host country
authorities. Before the mission starts, the responsibility of the country s leaders is to make the special
agreement with the UN. The agreement is signed between the UN and the leaders of the government.
Based on the agreement, the host nation s leaders must support the UN peacekeeping operations in
order to establish a safe working environment. The peacekeepers are supposed to achieve all tasks
without any constraints from the host country authorities. Nevertheless, in some cases, this agreement
is violated by political leaders of the country. For instance, in the Darfur crisis, Al Bashir, who is the
president of Sudan, played to local fear. He said that the UN forces did not really provide peace in
Darfur because they wish to recolonize Sudan and the UN military has a secret agenda (Paterson,
2008, p. 18). Additionally, in 2004, the African Union (AU) peacekeepers begun to arrive in Darfur.
The mission s name was AU Mission in Sudan (AMIS) and was composed of about 7,500 soldiers and
police from Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, and South Africa (Paterson, 2008). After two years, the UN
and AU decided that the AMIS peacekeeping should be taken over by a UN force. The government of
Sudan, headed by Omar al Bashir, rejected any collaboration with the UN and noted that international
military forces on its terrain would disrupt its independence (Paterson,

Capital Punishment Vs Lethal Injections
While many people dislike Capital Punishment, they mainly base their opinions upon their own
personal morals. Crowds judge the death penalty without taking the myriad factors into account. There
are many arguments and politics surrounding the hotly debated topic, by those arguments go over the
general public s head, or it just becomes background noise that they tune out. Lethal Injections have
many problems, but the government isn t able to solve them without a clear cut plan. The cost of
Capital Punishment has the potential to reduce itself to almost nothing, and many jobs could be
created if the government could tweak the laws that are causing so many problems for us all today.

Before Midazolam was created, the main drug used was called Pavulon. Sadly, the makers of Pavulon

consequently gained strength in the medical field, but that left a void in the world of capital

reaction time in the body, and it also doesn t give its patient any nausea at all. The plan brought forth

Argumentative Essay On Animal Rights
Animal rights has always been conversional subject, what rights do they have, what type of treatment
they may endure, and what is wildlife versus what are pets. Society as it a whole as always had used
animals as form entertainment for example like zoos, circuses, aquariums, rodeos, animal fighting and
hunting. Though these types of entertainments project as innocent forms of fun for all ages when it s
enslavement for the animals. These animals are taken from their homes to be forced behind cages,
glass and concert walls to perform for the paying customer. The animals see millions of human faces
pressed against these walls staring in hoping to see them do tricks or just move in general. These
animals are also forced to perform and train for hours on in just to be a meal ticket for the right buyer.
The advertisement above illustrates how animals are used like puppets for entertainment. When you
think of puppets, you think of a puppet master pulling the strings, to make the puppet dance, sing and
entertain you. Now just picture a wild animal having invisible strings attached to them with a puppet
master giving orders. Instead of strings they use actual force and punishment to get what they want.
While in the picture it states, The show must go on , when you hear this phrase you know meaning
that regardless of what happens, whatever show has been planned still must be performed for the
paying guests, the same goes for animals too. Which suggest no matter how much force, pain

Nature And Nature Essay
Nature
Nature has a great effect on individual. I was connected to nature in so many ways, especially in my
youth days. Looking deep in to nature, I came to understand that nature is also a part of science which
consist of the plants, animals and human being ways of life.
During the season, I was always derived a great joy walking the wild for miles looking for which tree
to harvest, sometimes from morning to sunset. Meanwhile, as a little child I relied on nature for
recreation, having lived in a forest region of south Nigeria, I had access to wide grown trees for
different kinds of seasonal fruits which I always look for forward to. However, there was always that

Nature also plays a great role in the access to nutritional food as it is in the sea and river we have our
supplies of different types of fish and other sea foods.
More importantly, all these afore mentioned activities are what we take for grant but with time humans
has grown careless with usage of the resources of nature, greed set in. however, the population
explosion comes the natural assets and comes the war against our natural environment. People
deforestation because of agricultural activity, over fishing in our rivers and the seas. Meanwhile, with
the increase in population comes the plundering of the natural resources which if allowed to continue
unchecked, will continue to have a devastating effect on our natural environment. Although, we have
started experiencing some of the effect of global warming. For examples, extreme weather condition
like hurricane and draught in some part of the world. Recently, the hurricane Harvey that just
happened in Houston, being a Houstonian, the experience is still a great shock to me because, seeing
the wave destroying lots of houses being damaged and lives been taken away, it was a great disaster.
Nature as made me to understand that rise in sea level, is a result of melting of ice especially in polar

Day On The Hill
My experience from the day on the hill was a complete opposite of what I thought it would be. When I
first started this program, I wasn t interested in policy. I thought this class was going to be extremely
boring. After we started looking for our bills, my mind was blown of how important those bills were.
Some of the bills affected me directly on a professional and a personal level. The bill we choose for
our assignment was a perfect example. Our bill was about immigrants and their families. I am an
immigrant myself and I would have never known about the bill if I didn t have this assignment. I knew
social workers were important but I didn t realize how much of an impact they made.

The bill proposed that ex felons get their right back to own a weapon only if they turned their lives

wasn t strong enough. If they committed a crime before, they will again. The second hearing was not
organized at all as well. The sponsor amended the bill but the chairmen didn t get the updated bill.

Gaucher Disease Essay
Gaucher disease (GD) is an autosomal recessive inborn error in the pathway of sphingolipid
catabolism. Biochemically, this disease is characterized by a deficiency of lysosomal β glucosidase
(glucocerebrosidase GCase, E.C.3.2.1.45) enzyme due to the mutation of GBA gene [1]. The natural
substrate of this lysosomal enzyme is glucocerebroside (also called glycosylceramide) mainly present
on the cytoplasmic face of cellular membranes and on the cell surface. Lysosomal β glucosidases play
a key role in recycling of this substrate by degradation of glucospingolipid from membranes of
apoptatic white blood cells and senescent red blood cells. Genetic mutations of GBA gene affect the
enzyme`s catalytic activity and stability and results in the storage ... Show more content on

Rarely the mutation of PSAP gene that encodes activator protein saposin C (enhances the activity of
GCase) may cause gaucher disease [3 4]. Gaucher disease can be classified into three types depending
on the presence or absence of neurological features Type I GD1 adult or visceral form is characterized
by the lack of central nervous system (CNS) involvement and accounts for almost 95% of GD; Type II
GD2 infantile progressive neuropathic form with a life expectancy of 2 years; Type III GD (GD3)
juvenile, subacute neuropathic form [5]. Pathologically, patients with the adult non neuropathic form
of the disease have deposition of glucocerebroside in lysosomes of reticuloendothelial cells,
particularly in the spleen, bone marrow and liver and frequently there is hepatosplenomegaly, anemia,
and thrombocytopenia. It has been suggested that these tissue abnormalities in some gaucher patients
may trigger macrophage activation and could result in enhanced inflammatory agents secretion and
had increased levels of pro inflammatory (i.e., TNF α, IL 6, IL 8, and IL 1b) and anti inflammatory
cytokines (i.e., CD14) in serum and/ or tissues

Was I Doing the right thing? Did I really need to find out about the past when I had all of these people
who loved me very much here with me now? Yes. Of course the answer was yes. I had to find out
where I was from, if I could, even if only to put it behind me. I wanted to see the place I had been
dreaming about for decades. I got on the plane. (Brierley, 173).

Management Accounting And Control Systems Essay
In the last 20 years, the business environment has changed dramatically with the widespread adoption
of the internet and other massive technological advances, it has been argued that with this new and
volatile environment that management accounting and control systems are more important than ever to
deal with the changing times. In this essay we will discuss whether management accounting and
control systems are important in the new business environment, major changes to the business
environment and how they have changed the role of management accounting and control systems, and
finally we will study an organisation and recent changes that have affected its business environment.
If we look at the definition of management accounting, it states that management accounting is a
process that helps managers make informed decisions by creating planning and performance
management systems that help to control a business and guide it to identify and realise the businesses
strategy (Institute of Management Accounants, 2008). With new technology being created over the last
20 years, it is clear that business environments have changed wildly and will require managers to
make very vital decisions regarding the operation of a business in order to succeed in the new
environment. For example, the structure of organisations all around the world have moved to a more
decentralised structure compared to the classical hierarchal structure (Chenhall Morris, 1986), this
means there is more

Why Was Pitt Able to Dominate Politics Between 1783 and 1793
Why was Pitt able to dominate politics between 1783 and 1793?
In the late 18th century, William Pitt managed to turn what looked like an unstable political situation,
the government being known as the Mince pie administration , into a period of dominance for him and
his supporters. So strong was his hold on politics at the time that he was able to pass an India Bill in
1784, just two years after Fox s version of the bill had been rejected and forced the Fox North
coalition out of power. Pitt also had many successes financially, never having trouble in passing his
budgets between 1783 and 1993. So how did Pitt manage to gain such a stronghold on British Politics
in this key decade of British history? Even though by this decade the ... Show more content on

He also had issues with his image, which was already in a state of ruins at the beginning of Pitt s 10
years of domination, being seen by many as hypocritical and power hungry due to his part in the Fox
North coalition. In a sense he carried too much baggage from the previous government. The next 10
years did nothing to reverse this. Fox s associations with the Prince of Wales had a detrimental effect
on his viewing by the public and parliament. During the Mrs Fitzherbert ordeal, the Prince lied to Fox,
telling him that he had not married her. Fox then passed this information on to parliament, telling the
MPs what they had heard in the press was all untrue. Unfortunately for Fox, soon after it became
apparent that the Prince of Wales and Mrs Fitzherbert had been secretly wed, making Fox either a liar
or an idiot in the eyes of the people and MPs. Another defining incident for Fox was a debate
surrounding the regency crisis. Fox, wishing for his friend, the Prince, to come into power, declared
that he had no issue with the Prince taking over. In doing this he unwhigged himself, effectively
arguing the Tory position, as well as seeming overtly opportunistic. The main issue with Fox and his
party which caused Pitt to have little trouble in parliament was the nature of their opposition. The
Foxites opposed almost every bill Pitt ever suggested. A year after Fox had

How he effected the world with his accomplishments
William Bill Gates III was born on October 28, 1955. He accomplished many unbelievable things, and
highly influenced the people around him in many ways. In University, Bill Gates was known to be the
smart computer nerd, who totally amazed all of his friends with his knowledge. One of the people that
he had influenced the most was Steve Ballmer, current Microsoft s Chief Executive Officer, whose

The trial is under way. Whoever wins, Gates will still be the No. 1 man in the industry. Part of
Microsoft s success in creating a positive change in the computer market is creating better computer
software than anyone else, says Time Magazine, Today Microsoft is the world s most powerful
supplier of Web browsers, and Gates really has it made. More importantly, Bill Gates and his wife,
Melinda, founded a large charity foundation. Also, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, with an
endowment of more than $17 billion, is now the wealthiest in the United States. Their approach was to
make a change in needy children s lives, and try their best to give them the stuff that they were
lacking, such as: clothes, schooling, food, etc. Becoming the second richest man in the world is one
thing, however, giving back to the community what it has given to you is even more remarkable. Bill
Gates indeed is one of the most remarkable figures of the century, because beside attempted to create a
change in the middle and upper class lives, he is also attempting to give an opportunity to the lower
class children who have very little hope. The products of Microsoft were not completely produced by
Bill Gates, the genius himself. Although Microsoft Windows was his idea, and he did a fair bit of it,
many other intelligent programmers apart of Microsoft were on the Windows programming team as
well. Bill Gates did not need to do all of the

Analysis Of The Book The New Rules Of Retail By Lewis...
Book Review This paper is a review of the book The New Rules of Retail by Lewis and Dart, 2014.
The book was written on marketing and how organisations should change tactics of trade with time.
The reflections of the book will help us to find out how retail changes affect the market and trade. It
seems as if retail activities have gone through a circle of evolution; there is change in every practice.
There are distinct preferences that companies must meet both locally and internationally. Lewis and
Dart are retail gurus whose findings on the topic cannot easily be professionally assumed; the
submissions can help to advice a management about when and how to change trading plans. The aim
of this paper is to provide a professional review, evaluation and critical analysis of the book.
According to Lewis and Dart (2014), the world of retail is transforming by fundamentally each day.
There are quick technological shifts, globalisation as well as a tightly competitive market setting.
These changes have helped to bring consumers the desired products and services instantly. The
availability of market goods and services to consumers raises the expectations and demands. It is true
that availability of a variety of goods to consumers would change their behaviour. Individuals would
order for more new products which puts companies in competition for the best offer. Lewis and Dart
believe that the technological shifts may not be met by all companies; at least half will not meet the

Third-Person Shooter Game Analysis In a third person shooter game, the player s character is seen on the screen whereas in a first person shooter game, the screen is viewed through the eyes of the character. The video game industry has made great advances since the 1970 s when gaming images were simplistic and therefore not very graphic nor realistic (Gentile, Lynch, Linder, Walsh, 2004). Nowadays, with the prevalence of highly violent and realistic video games involving person to person brutality, there are rising concerns regarding its effects on users real life thoughts and behaviors particularly in youth. Bandura states people are more likely to attend to, recall, and imitate media violence that they believe could exist in real life (Bandura, 1965 as cited in Brewer, 2011, p.17). Also in first person shooter games, the player and his or her surroundings tends to look more realistic, such as in Grant Theft Auto. It has a higher rate of sensory realism, which refers to to formal features of a representation that progressively simulates the same experience in the natural environment (Williams Clippinger, 2002). In Texas, there are a few types of elections held: general elections, primary elections, runoff elections and special elections. The general election is held in November of even years statewide to fill state and national offices. If a piglet was left suspended it could be placed in the shade and less bugs would reach it. Laney thought, Yes, it might decompose slower because everything goes to the head instead of staying in the original areas, or since everything goes to the head it might just decompose mostly in the head and everything fall out . Another question that we put a theory to was, Does a piglet decompose faster if it is on the grass/dirt versus being on the cement? I, Allison, thought a piglet on the grass would decompose faster than on the cement. Gabby thought it was more likely for decomposition to occur faster on grass because there are more bugs in the grass. Laney also agreed the piglets on the grass would decompose faster because bugs could reach the body faster and help with decomposition. • 10. Use Of Similes In Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar One often hears the saying, Don t judge a man until you have walked a mile in their shoes. The way an author uses similes can help the reader better understand how the character feel and what they re going through like Sylvia Plath in The Bell Jar. Esther Greenwood, a college student, working at a month long job as a guest editor for a fashion magazine feels like an outcast from the rest of the girls; she doesn t seem to fit in. When she arrives back home, she receives several bad news leads her into thinking suicide is the best thing to do. After multiple failed attempts, she is put into a mental hospital where she will gain hope in life and finally discover who she really is. In Sylvia Plath s The Bell Jar, there are several instances in which the author uses similes to illustrate a more detailed image/description to better portray how the main character felt during her New York job, her suicide attempts, and at her stay at the mental institution. During The Bell Jar, Sylvia Plath used similes to highlight Esther s characteristic of a wallflower during her trip to New York. After Frankie, one of Lenny s friend abandones Esther, he is forced to take her and Doreen to his apartment. Lenny obviously wanting privacy with Doreen he asks her to go but Doreen defends Esther and says she will only go with the do any of her friend. From there on, Esther feels unwanted and ignored while she spends time at Lenny s place. Plath describes Esther s abandonment while Lenny and Doreen dance, I felt myself shrinking to a small black dot against all those red and white rugs and that pine paneling. I felt like a hole in the ground (Plath 16). Esther feels left out while her best friend and a stranger dance. The simile expresses how she felt invisible and ignored. The author tries to relate to the reader who once in their life may have felt outcastes or left out. Esther has a tendency to feel terrible about herself. From the beginning of the story, she explains how she feels different and not in the right place. The author wrote, The city had faded my tan, though. I looked yellow as a Chinaman. In the poems that Professor Bergland showed us, Emily Dickson wrote about nature and her thoughts on how nature affected the world and science. My understand of the period from 1880 to1920 was that education was not mandatory for females. When females attended college, they were taught science and math because it did not have a role in society. Males on the other hand learned literature and politics because they would go on to graduate and have an active and high role in society. At the college Dickson attended, Mount Holyoke, religion was heavily stressed. Not many females finished college, majority dropped out before entering ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Symbolism In The Talented Mr. Ripley By Patricia Highsmith The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith, set in 1950s in a somewhat vibrant, jazz influenced Italy, gives a vivid insight into the mind of a small time conman turned psychopath. It also provides us with the central concepts of amorality, paranoia and how that survival and greed for money can turn almost ordinary people uncaring and self indulgent. Highsmith s use of third person narrative is an effective technique and is used to expand on the thesis of morality in the novel . Tom Ripley, a man in his mid 20 s, claims he is close friends with Richard Dickie Greenleaf, when in reality, he doesn t really know Dickie at all. It was because of these changes, even though some were minor that I did not enjoy the movie. I do understand though that in order to appeal to a more broad audience the producers had to add and change details in order for it to be more appealing. Prostitution Is The Oldest Profession When looking into Prostitution women are usually thought to be the lowest form a part of the human species, people make assumptions as to why a women would even bother with the idea of subjecting herself to harsh treatment by others, people often correlate the idea of prostitution with human trafficking. That each of these categories are of association, prostitution is the practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment. While human trafficking is the illegal movement of people, typically for the purposes of forced labor or commercial sexual exploitation. Each of these subjects demonstrates different meanings but express the same sense of ideas, which will be looked into too. Prostitution it is the oldest profession, in fact there is evidence that the exchange of sex for money goes back into our distant past. In a recent study chimpanzees were taught to use a rudimentary form of money. (Puiu, 2011) They were given puzzles to solve and then received colored discs and then they directed that in order to obtain treats they would need to exchange their colored discs. Soon later on in the experiment the mammals exhibited more advance behaviors and began buying and selling or trading sexual favors; it just seemed instinctive. The Holocaust and Armenian Genocide are both considered genocides. Both of these genocides compare in many ways. They both had a belief that a race was superior to another race and they were both starved. They are also different in many ways. They were killed in different ways, and the roles of women were different. The Armenian Genocide was planned ahead of time by the leader Talat Pasha from the Ottoman Empire. It started in the Turkish parliament when they started to arrest Armenian diplomats, writers, journalists, and lawmakers, and then killing them. They were all told they were going to be in an army. The Armenian were raped, tortured, and killed. This genocide ended in 1923. This is when modern Turkey was established. Pasha ran away to Germany and was convicted of genocide in absentia. The Holocaust started with Adolf Hitler as the Nazi Leader. He believed Germans were superior to Jews. Therefore, since independence, the main objective of Pakistan s foreign policy has been to protect its territorial integrity against a possible attack from India to ensure national security from external threats. An important aspect of Pakistan s foreign policy is that its relations with India mainly determine its attitude towards the other nations. It has conjured up threat from India, and by constantly harping on its fear of India; Pakistan has tried to win the sympathy of the superpowers. However, the basic force behind Pakistan foreign policy is its security and survival, both economic and military. However, the very nature of the state system breeds feelings of insecurity, distrust, suspicion, and fear. This atmosphere produces a constant competition for power in which each state, to reduce its insecurity, seeks to enhance its power relative to that of a possible foe. If a state perceives its neighbour as a potential enemy, it tries to deter an attack or political coercion by becoming a little stronger than its neighbour, or at least as strong. The neighbour, in turn, also fears attack or political intimidation. It understands that its best interests lie in increasing its strength to forestall either contingency or, if necessary, in winning a war, should matters go that far. In this pathogen, the elaboration of virulence factors including melanin and the capsule depends on intact intracellular trafficking, an essential cellular process also required for nutrient uptake, ion homeostasis, and receptor recycling. Our previous studies have found that Cn evolves a cryptococcal intersectin (Cin1) regulated endocytic pathway essential for growth and virulence. We have also obtained evidence linking Cin1 to extracellular RNA through RNA Seq and to CNS survival through co infection of a mouse model of cryptococcosis. However, how Cin1 governs the transport network affecting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Specifically, we will find if Cin1 orchestrates the only endocytic pathway and how it affects host parasite interaction through regulating exRNA transport and mouse CNS survival. We propose three specific aims: Aim 1 is to determine if Cin1 mediates the sole endocytic pathway in Cn through identification and characterization of pathway components. Aim 2 is to examine the role of Cin1 in exRNA export through continued annotation and analysis of RNA Seq data. Aim 3 is to further explore the CNS survival advantage of Cin1 S by generating the Cin1 L strain using one step CRISPR Cas9 mutagenesis method we recently developed and testing it through co infection. Our central hypothesis is that intracellular trafficking is important in pathogen growth and interaction with a host resulting pathogenesis (our long term goal). We propose those specific aims to test the hypothesis that Cn evolves a distinct Cin1 endocytic pathway necessary for pathogenesis (short term goal). Through studying a fundamental cellular process and its adaptation to pathogenesis of Cn, our investigation could lead to the discovery of novel antifungal targets. 2. • 31. Day On The Hill My experience from the day on the hill was a complete opposite of what I thought it would be. When I first started this program, I wasn t interested in policy. I thought this class was going to be extremely boring. After we started looking for our bills, my mind was blown of how important those bills were. Some of the bills affected me directly on a professional and a personal level. The bill we choose for our assignment was a perfect example. Our bill was about immigrants and their families. I am an immigrant myself and I would have never known about the bill if I didn t have this assignment. I knew social workers were important but I didn t realize how much of an impact they made. After the day on the hill, I will truly attempt to read all the upcoming bills presented. I wasn t aware that anyone can go make an appointment and talk to the ... Again, I didn t learn much since it wasn t organized and they did put our bill off that day. We, as a group, attended 2 additional committees the day of the day on the hill. We saw that Senator Green was talking, so we entered the hearing. The hearing was talking about gun control but as soon as we sat down, they moved on and went to lunch. The bill proposed that ex felons get their right back to own a weapon only if they turned their lives around. We didn t hear much of the argument, but in my opinion, it was a poor idea and his argument wasn t strong enough. If they committed a crime before, they will again. The second hearing was not organized at all as well. The sponsor amended the bill but the chairmen didn t get the updated bill. They spent over fifteen minutes attempting to figure out what the sponsor was talking about. We finally gave up and left since we were running out of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Gaucher Disease Essay Gaucher disease (GD) is an autosomal recessive inborn error in the pathway of sphingolipid catabolism. Biochemically, this disease is characterized by a deficiency of lysosomal β glucosidase (glucocerebrosidase GCase, E.C.3.2.1.45) enzyme due to the mutation of GBA gene [1]. The natural substrate of this lysosomal enzyme is glucocerebroside (also called glycosylceramide) mainly present on the cytoplasmic face of cellular membranes and on the cell surface. Lysosomal β glucosidases play a key role in recycling of this substrate by degradation of glucospingolipid from membranes of apoptatic white blood cells and senescent red blood cells. Genetic mutations of GBA gene affect the enzyme`s catalytic activity and stability and results in the storage ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Rarely the mutation of PSAP gene that encodes activator protein saposin C (enhances the activity of GCase) may cause gaucher disease [3 4]. Gaucher disease can be classified into three types depending on the presence or absence of neurological features Type I GD1 adult or visceral form is characterized by the lack of central nervous system (CNS) involvement and accounts for almost 95% of GD; Type II GD2 infantile progressive neuropathic form with a life expectancy of 2 years; Type III GD (GD3) juvenile, subacute neuropathic form [5]. Pathologically, patients with the adult non neuropathic form of the disease have deposition of glucocerebroside in lysosomes of reticuloendothelial cells, particularly in the spleen, bone marrow and liver and frequently there is hepatosplenomegaly, anemia, and thrombocytopenia. It has been suggested that these tissue abnormalities in some gaucher patients may trigger macrophage activation and could result in enhanced inflammatory agents secretion and had increased levels of pro inflammatory (i.e., TNF α, IL 6, IL 8, and IL 1b) and anti inflammatory cytokines (i.e., CD14) in serum and/ or tissues ... In the late 18th century, William Pitt managed to turn what looked like an unstable political situation, the government being known as the Mince pie administration , into a period of dominance for him and his supporters. So strong was his hold on politics at the time that he was able to pass an India Bill in 1784, just two years after Fox s version of the bill had been rejected and forced the Fox North coalition out of power. Pitt also had many successes financially, never having trouble in passing his budgets between 1783 and 1993. He also had issues with his image, which was already in a state of ruins at the beginning of Pitt s 10 years of domination, being seen by many as hypocritical and power hungry due to his part in the Fox North coalition. In a sense he carried too much baggage from the previous government. The next 10 years did nothing to reverse this. Fox s associations with the Prince of Wales had a detrimental effect on his viewing by the public and parliament. During the Mrs Fitzherbert ordeal, the Prince lied to Fox, telling him that he had not married her. Fox then passed this information on to parliament, telling the MPs what they had heard in the press was all untrue. Unfortunately for Fox, soon after it became apparent that the Prince of Wales and Mrs Fitzherbert had been secretly wed, making Fox either a liar or an idiot in the eyes of the people and MPs. Another defining incident for Fox was a debate surrounding the regency crisis. Fox, wishing for his friend, the Prince, to come into power, declared that he had no issue with the Prince taking over. In doing this he unwhigged himself, effectively arguing the Tory position, as well as seeming overtly opportunistic. The main issue with Fox and his party which caused Pitt to have little trouble in parliament was the nature of their opposition. The Foxites opposed almost every bill Pitt ever suggested. The book was written on marketing and how organisations should change tactics of trade with time. The reflections of the book will help us to find out how retail changes affect the market and trade. It seems as if retail activities have gone through a circle of evolution; there is change in every practice. There are distinct preferences that companies must meet both locally and internationally. Lewis and Dart are retail gurus whose findings on the topic cannot easily be professionally assumed; the submissions can help to advice a management about when and how to change trading plans. The aim of this paper is to provide a professional review, evaluation and critical analysis of the book. According to Lewis and Dart (2014), the world of retail is transforming by fundamentally each day. There are quick technological shifts, globalisation as well as a tightly competitive market setting. These changes have helped to bring consumers the desired products and services instantly. The availability of market goods and services to consumers raises the expectations and demands. It is true that availability of a variety of goods to consumers would change their behaviour. Individuals would order for more new products which puts companies in competition for the best offer. Lewis and Dart believe that the technological shifts may not be met by all companies; at least half will not meet the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Geological and Dispositional History of the Starved Rocks, Illinois Describe the clastic and carbonate facies you have discovered. Starved Rock State covers about 200 miles and some 470 million years, from Ordovician sandstones to Pleistocene glacial till. The Ordovician St. Peter Formation sandstone was deposited across the midcontinent during the second major marine transgression of the Paleozoic Era. The first transgression deposited Upper Cambrian to Lower Ordovician clastics and carbonates. The clastic to carbonate rock transition is consistent with gradual sea level rise over the North American craton. Sea level dropped late in the early Ordovician, exposing the carbonate strata to processes of cave development. The St. Peter ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
