because, like with Jupiter, photos from Earth had not been of high enough quality. The Voyager probes

As I leave for Oregon I enter the Kahului airport, a fairly familiar site as I ve been here a number of
times for various reasons. Once inside I head to my destination, which isn t too hard to find. The

Why are people poor in America? That is a question that individuals ask often, when America is one
of the wealthiest countries in the world. Poverty began during the Great Depression, when neither
State and local governments nor private charities had the means to cope with the growing financial
needs of the American people (Poor in America, 2009). Many people come to America in hopes to
have a better life, however they struggle when they are here. Why is this? In the public school system,
today every student s say the Pledge of Allegiance, the ending of the Pledge of Allegiance states
justice for all. Young children in America from diverse cultural backgrounds recite this pledge and do
not fully understand its meaning.
When it comes to justice and equality in America everyone is not treated the same. In the 21st century
individuals are still discriminated against because they may fall into a certain category. For example:
darker skin tone/minority, low socioeconomic status, religion, sexual orientation, etc. If you are
affiliated with any of these categories that are not considered the cultural norms you are an outcast in
today s society. Especially if you are a minority who comes from a low socioeconomic background,
these individuals are not expected to succeed.

My Experience In Life And Different Experiences In My Life
All of us have a story to tell. Something that separates us from others. We may have similar
experiences, but what makes us different is how we handle them. In my life I have cherished
memories, hopes for my future, and heartaches that may never leave. Life can get complicated, but it s
all about figuring out who you are and who you want to be.
I would say I had a pretty good childhood. It was filled with good memories, great laughs, and lots of
fun. When I was 3, my parents divorced, but I can t really remember them ever being together so it s
never been an issue. At my mom s house I always spent a lot of time at my grandma s house playing
with my cousins. It was like having a bunch of brothers and sisters. We still have great relationships
between each other, even now in high school. On my dad s side, his family lives in California so I don
t get to see them as much, but the friends we hang out with are practically family. Our neighbors have
three kids from the ages 1 6. I consider them as three more siblings pretty much. It s very warm and
comfortable just like at my mom s. As for my school life, from 1st grade to 6th grade I went to the
Catholic school here in Thorp. I had some pretty good years there. Because there were only about 10
of us, it felt like another little family. In 7th grade is when I transferred to the Public school. I think
because I d gotten used to being in smaller groups, coming to the Public school was a big deal with the
class sizes being larger.

In the dramatic monologue Soliloquy of the Spanish Cloister by Robert Browning, the reader is hurled
into the psychotic ranting s of an unnamed friar. The protagonist of this poem is voicing his hatred for
his fellow monk, Brother Lawrence, as he absentmindedly works in the monastery s garden. The tone
of the poem is filled with disgust, hate, and bitterness, as the friar plays previous encounters with
Brother Lawrence over in his head, mocking his speech as well as his actions. Although the only
