Reflection Paper On Counselling
The first counseling session was an introductory time for me and Counselor, Janine King to become
acquainted. Janine introduced her techniques and her journey to becoming a counselor. I shared my
counseling journey, my academic goals, and the areas that I wanted to focus on during the ten weeks.
The session ended by creating a road map of the areas in my life that might be explored. In session
two, Janine went over my MMPI results and inquired about my life story. It was interesting to learn
that Janine s MMPI results were similar to mine. Janine encouraged me to view the results with an
open mind and use the new information to propel growth in my life. I spent the rest of the session
sharing my life story, and secrets about my past that had never been shared before. The session closed
with reflection and prayer. The third session I was introduced to an exercise called Safe Place, as well
as The Six R s Script. The Six R s are: recognizing my sin, repenting of the sin, receiving freedom,
realigning with God, and rejoicing in the healing and freedom I received. I walked through the Six R s
Script after I identified sin that still gripped me. The session ended with Safe Place exercise and
prayer. I left with action steps on how to move forward in my new found healing and freedom. The
fourth session was full of struggle and frustration. I went into the session thankful for the victory from
the week before, but as we delved into my past

Compare And Contrast Wonder And The Other Side By...
It may seem like Wonder and The Other Side by jacqueline woodson are very different stories ones
about a boy with a messed up face and the other is about a girl on a fence. But the truth is that these
stories are actually very alike in many ways. For example both stories have the same theme, just
because that person is different doesn t mean you can t be friends with that person In the story wonder
it shows that you can be friends with someone who s different, because auggie has a messed up face
and Jack Will still decides to be auggie s friend which also means that jackwill is being a friend to
someone that is different and he also enjoys being auggie s friend. Even tho he thinks is a little
embarrassing. This shows that even

During the meeting, Mr. Lucio stated that Ms. Williams had worked at Casa Ruby before they began

with Casa Ruby, but not under the contract that TCP has with Casa Ruby. He believes that Casa Ruby
may have some private funding that is being used to pay Ms. Williams to continue working with the
organization. Mr. Lucio mentioned that there may have been an issue with Ms. Williams background
check which came back with a previous prostitution charge. However, management at Casa Ruby
believed the Ms. Williams past should be overlooked in that she had turned her life around and could
be a positive role model for youth. Therefore, it was the organizations decision to maintain Ms.
Williams employment status with Casa Ruby because they wanted to utilize her to speak to clients

The Effect of Global Warming on Thermohaline Circulation
The Effect of Global Warming on Thermohaline Circulation
Kabir Rao1
[1] Industrial activities, such as fossil fuel burning and other human activities such as tropical
deforestation have increased greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere. Increasing global
temperatures are likely to have extreme effects on global climate and may result in species extinction,
changes in agricultural production and deleterious effects on health. Studies have been conducted in
recent years on the effects of increase of greenhouse gases on the thermohaline circulation. There are
several hypotheses that state that the prolonged effect of global warming could eventually shut down
the thermohaline circulation and lead to cooling in certain regions in ... Show more content on

This movement of the deep water forms a giant conveyor belt that covers a large part of the open

3. Global Warming
[5] The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), in February 2007, submitted a 21 page
report assessing the effect of global warming on global climate. The report stated that: most of the
observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid 20th century is very likely due to
the observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations . Emission of infrared radiation
warms the Earth surface; the phenomenon is known as the Greenhouse Effect. The dominant infrared
absorbing gases in the Earth s atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2) and ozone (O3). The
interactions between greenhouse gas molecules and radiation can be explained by quantum mechanics.
CO2 and O3 molecules have vibration motions whose quantum states can be excited by collisions at
energies encountered in the atmosphere. Industrial activities, such as fossil fuel burning and other
human activities such as cement production and tropical deforestation has increased the carbon
dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere. CO2 is also a byproduct from automobiles,

Unraveling Of America Essay
Unraveling of America
Consensus characterized the American history between 1945 and 1963. This was a term used to
describe the period in which America developed global hegemony as well as creating domestic
affluence in the world. The victory in the World War II greatly helped in the achievement of these
American values. There were rapid expansions and economic growth in the country. This period is
regarded as crucial in the history of America. It is a time that American population started gaining
confidence and superiority.
From the year 1963, America changed considerably. The values during the consensus period changed
with new political and economic ideologies being adopted. Harmony turned to capitalism and
liberalism. Allen Matusow values ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kennedy. This is because the presidency of John F. Kennedy focused mostly on increasing public
enthusiasm and introduction of liberal programs. The president supported capitalism by encouraging
big businesses. However, he was very skeptical and reluctant to show support of the causes advocated
by civil rights movements.
After the country had cemented its place on the global map, there was great need to mitigate possible
outcomes of issues such as suburbanization. These questions were unemployment, poverty and
dislocation of working people. The economic prospect in this period was to be developed with a view
of Keynesian economics. This was converged with social concerns. The biggest of these was racism. It
was also important in this period to root out complacency that was developed during the consensus
period. There was a general view that with complacency, countries such as Russia would outmaneuver
America.
Civil rights movements were very active during this period. The Civil Rights Act was supported by
President John F. Kennedy with a view of having an equal society. The civil rights concerns in
America were high, particularly in the marginalization of non natives in the country. The blacks were
not allowed to mingle freely with the whites. The civil rights movements led by Dr. Martin Luther
King aimed at having an equal society in education, economics and

The Family Educational Rights And Privacy
FERPA
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99), which is
also referred to as the Buckley Amendment, was established in 1974. It is a Federal law, which
protects the privacy of student records as well as provide provisions for educational institutions to
follow in the handling of those records. According to the United States Department of Education, The
term education records is defined as those records that contain information directly related to a student
and which are maintained by an educational agency or institution or by a party acting for the agency
or institution. (U.S. Department of Education, 2015) The Family Policy Compliance Office specifies

This could come in the form of a school newsletter, student handbook, a letter sent home or
information posted on the school s website. In addition to the notification of parents and students,
schools are required to maintain records efficiently and make provisions for parents or students to
inspect or review their records at any time. This includes having a record keeping system in place that
describes in detail a way for parents to access their child s records. Furthermore, each child s file must
have a record of access that must be signed by any staff member that withdraws the student s file. In
accordance with section 99.10(c), schools must also respond to parents with reasonable requests for
explanation and interpretations of records. (34 CFR § 99.10) (c)
Students and parents are given the right to waive their access to student records in certain
circumstances as well as the right to challenge any information on their record that they feel is
inaccurate, misleading or a violation of their privacy or other rights. If the institution is not willing to
remove the material that is being challenged then the parent has to request a hearing. The Family
Policy Compliance Office states The educational institution or agency must provide parent or eligible
student notice of the date, time and place of the hearing reasonably and in advance of the hearing.

The Government of Canada and Multiculturalism Essay examples
Multiculturalism entered public speech in the late 1960s and early 1970s in Canada that focused on
unique cultural diversity, nationalities, and ethnicity across the nation. Multiculturalism and
Immigration are important factors in the development of Canada to attain a strong multicultural
example of economic stability, social and political growth which leads to the emergence of Canada s
identity and culture.
The artefact design indicates the deep understanding of Canadian Multiculturalism which helps to
shape the nation. Many immigrants from different countries around the world bring their values,
traditions, religious and cultural beliefs, clothes, food, entertainment and their knowledge.

During the 1950s, the federal government made the decision that cultural diversity is essential to the
success of Canadian society. Also based on Multiculturalism was the introduction of the Immigration
Act of 1976, which brought about huge significant changes to the immigration policy and how it
would operate in Canada. The Act called for consultation with provinces on the planning and
management of immigration and allowed for refugees to be considered a distinct group to be selected
and admitted from immigrants (Citizenship Immigration Canada). All Canadians are equal before the
law and have equality opportunity regardless their origins. Canada s laws and policies recognize
Canada s diversity by race, cultural heritage, ethnicity, religion, ancestry and place of origin and

Clathrin-Mediated Endocytosis
1 Clathrin Mediated Endocytosis
In this method, the binding of the virion to host receptors triggers Clathrin mediated endoycytosis. The
virion attachment to the host receptor causes the binding of an adaptor protein to the
receptorcytoplasmic tail. Adaptor proteins bind to clathrin, and the local concentration of adaptor
proteins onthe inside face of the plasma membrane allows clathrin to multimerize to form Clathrin
Coated Pit(CCP). GTPase dynamin pinch off the CCP from the host membrane thereby releasing the
Clathrin Coated Vesicle (CCV). Auxilin and hsc70 release the clathrin basket. The vesicle then
delivers itsviral content to early endosomes. Endosomal carrier vesicles transport contents of early
endosometo late endosome that is near to nucleus. Then, late endosome fuses with lysosome.decrease
in pHis due to vATPase ,which is used to pump out protons into vesicle.
2 Caveolar and Lipid Raft Mediated Endocytosis
In this method, a virus particle bind to the cell surface which by then activates signal
transductionpathways required for pinching off of the vesicle, which then moves within the cytoplasm.
Thenit fuses with the caveosome, which is a larger membranous organelle that contains caveolin.

known to be stable. Under abnormal condition, however, high ph has been found to cleave HA
peptides. This cleavage results in conformational changewhich affect the fusion peptides and prevent

Atherosclerosis: Its incidence and importance
Cardiovascular disease is the most common cause of mortality and morbidity and is accounted for
almost 1 out of 5 deaths in the world. Atherosclerosis is a chronic heart disease that causes most of the
vascular deaths. The fat deposition in arterial walls progressively develop into atheroma leading to
restriction in blood circulation thus increasing risk of local thrombosis. Local thrombosis often forms
the base that leads to partial or total obstruction of the artery. At the time of birth, the probability of a
cardiovascular disease is 47%. The impact of Atherosclerosis on morbidity and mortality and its
economic implications created a necessity for new treatments and prevention strategies. It

Why I m Fine Rudolph
Imagine a Café in a quiet street with a European mood. A nice place, not a lot of people and it s 10 am.
There s a table where three men sit, all of them very sharp. They are speaking in German. So how are
you today Riccardo? says one. I m fine Rudolph, how are you? The third man is concentrated in coffee
and cigarettes.
Riccardo Klement is a technician who works in a metal factory and lives with his family in the elegant
Palermo Chico Neighborhood, in downtown Buenos Aires where the coffee place is located. Helmut
Gregor is the owner of a pharmaceutical company and lives with his family in the suburbs. The third
man is Emilio Meier who works as president Peron s air force advisor and lives in the same

men are Adolf Eichman, Himmler s right hand during the war and charged with the logistics of the
extermination camps after final solution decision, Joseph Mengele, who chose who went to gas
chambers in Auschwitz and is known for his experiments with humans and Hans Ulrich Rudel, the
most highly decorated soldier of the German Air force during the war. It is 1950.

The Death Of The Street
It was nine o clock although it could have been midnight. The main street was deserted except for a
man pulling his bull terrier away from the base of a lamp post. An ambulance siren wailed in the
distance. Occasionally, a car hissed past spitting up spray. Persistent winter rain permeated my fur
coat, saturated my hair and drooled down my face into my scarf. I was cold wet and eager to get
indoors. Long dark and menacing. Though dark, the alley lured me in with the promise of a speedy
arrival home. Momentarily I hesitated at its entrance. A hundred yards away stood a single street lamp
that offered a dim amber light at the alleyway s turning. The pole of the street light had been defaced
with rude drawings of body parts and derogatory words. My gut feeling told me to leave this
unfamiliar alley and quickly. but down the alley, past the turning and another 20 yards and I would be
home. 120 yards and 3 minutes rather than 300 yards and 10 minutes. Although I was hesitant I took
the first step into the alley as warmth and dry clothes beckoned. I walked on in fear.
As I proceeded into the alley the weeping trees poked at my neck and snagged at my hair. Sounds of
the unknown rustled through the overgrown bushes that had become infested with sweet wrappers and
empty beer cans. The wind blew hard carrying an old crisp packet from one overgrown bush to the
next. Embedded in the bushes was a long piece of white and blue tape that blew in the violent wind. It

Utopia By Thomas Moore s Utopia
Thomas Moore s Utopia appears to be a perfect society where everyone is treated fairly and equally.
However, Utopia is not as egalitarian as it appears. This can be determined through the implications
about and restraints placed on women. The attitude toward women in Utopia may have been seen as
acceptable in 1516, but in contrast with today s standards this approach in the book towards women is
misogynistic and oppressive. In Utopia, values are critical to the preservation of peace in society. Yet,
these values do not include fair and proper treatment of every individual. Utopia appears to be a land
of no persecution but women still suffer and are harassed through the societal standards pressed upon
them as a condition of their sex. While the land of Utopia at first appears to give more rights to
women than many countries did at the time, it becomes evident that the treatment of women and their
rights are not representative of the supposed egalitarian principles applauded in the novel.
There are multiple cases in Utopia where conflict is evident between the treatment of men and the
treatment of women. There are many moments in Utopia when it appears that the women are equal to
men, only to turn around and suggest they are not. One of these examples is when Raphael Hythloday
is discussing the terms and conditions of marriage, or rather, conditions prior to even the engagement.
He says that Whether she is a widow or a virgin, the women is shown naked to the suitor by a

Carl Lewis Views On Track And Field
Carl Lewis said the trials on the road to world harmony are no greater than the courage of those who
accept the challenge . Track and field is a sport which includes athletics in running, jumping, and
throwing. The Smithsonian Museum has a lot of different artifacts, but it holds a very important track
jersey: Carl Lewis . Because of crushing records and maintaining determination, Carl Lewis made an
impact on history when he became one of the best track stars.
Carl worked hard everyday even through the rough time to have success in track and field. A little boy
he took a tape measure and put it in his backyard wondering how could a person jump so far (AAseng,
1985). Even though he just a kid athlete have to work hard everyday and use what they got. Since he
was eight he ran around playing with his family ( Carl Lewis, 2017). As a matter of fact he would
jump and play in sandpit (Jacobs, 2017). He spend long hour running in the yard and jumping around.
Although his parents both were track coaches they build their own track club (Jacobs, 2017). Also
they were Carl Lewis first coaches (Jacobs, 2017). Eventually this gave Carl Lewis lots of time to
practice running and jumping. At first Carl Lewis would always lose one day he when up to his dad
and said I am tired of losing (AAseng, 2017). His dad respond and say either work harder or quit
(AAseng, 2017). Although he was always getting frustrated he never give up and work will hard be to
good. This was start of Carl Lewis

Elements Of The CIA Triad
Confidentiality, integrity and availability also commonly known as the CIA triad, is a security guide to
keep information safe in organisations. The three elements of the triad are considered the most crucial
component of information security. Confidentiality is very similar to privacy of data; it is put in place
in order to prevent important and sensitive data from falling into the wrong hands, whilst at the same
time making sure it is available to the people that actually need it and are authorised to it. Data can
sometimes be categorised in accordance to the type and amount of damage that could be done if the
information was to fall in the wrong hands. Certain employees will be responsible for different data
this way only selected people are allowed to view and modify this information. This means that if
anything was to go wrong they would know who it is as it is only a select few people. If organisations
did not comply with this rule then this would enable anyone one to view and modify information they
should not have access to. This could cause a negative reputation for the organisation if anything was

They must make sure that all client data is correct and up to date. If the data was incorrect this could
affect the organisations reputation because if they are giving wrong information it will look bad on
their behalf. It is important that the organisation have the correct information about their clients as this
could also cause problems later into the future. For example if someone was to have an accident and
had to be taken to hospital then when they check the patients file to see if they have any allergic
reactions or whether they are allergic to a specific medicine then the doctors could provide the wrong
medicine which could result in harming the patient to a further extent. This would also cause legal
issues as the hospital could be sued for not having the correct information on

Diffusion And Osmosis Paper
Particles are moving atoms; thus they have a habit of moving from areas of high concentration to areas
of low concentration. This principle is divided into two classifications: diffusion and osmosis.
Diffusion is the movement of substances from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower
concentration and they become evenly distributed throughout both regions (Biology Department,
2015).Furthermore Osmosis is the movement of free water from an area of higher concentration to an
area of lower concentration across a semi permeable membrane (Biology Department, 2015).Diffusion
and osmosis regulate the quantity of solutes that are in the solvent from moving in and out of the cell
in aqueous solutions. Solvents are the disperse agents while solutes are the disperse substances; these
substances are able to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Tonicity is the capacity of a nearby solution that causes a cell to gain or lose water; it relies on the
concentration of the solute that cannot pass through the membrane (Reece et al., 2014).A hypertonic
solution is when the solution has a higher concentration then the solute which causes the water to
move away from the cell which results in a shriveled cell. A hypotonic solution is when the solute has
a higher concentration than the solution which causes the cell to expand and swell (Mao, 2008).
Nevertheless an isotonic solution is when the concentration of the solute and solution are equal. The
category of the cell relies on the effect of osmosis on the cell. The hypotonic solution will take up
water if an animal cell is placed in the solution, which will cause it to swell, gets larger and eventually

High School Near Future Research
High School is a completely different compared to middle school. For the first time ever, your going
to have to think about your future and what will be the best thing for you in the long run. Some of you
already have an idea of what you see yourself doing in the future, but the rest of you may not have a
clue what you want to be. When I was in your position, I was repeatedly asked What do you want to
be in the future. I always responded back that I was not sure yet. However, I was trying to completely
avoid that topic as I didn t want to worry about any of that stuff. To this day I m not 100% sure what I
want to be as I believe that all the puzzles will join together in the near future.
To be successful in high school, you do not have to have everything planned out, but you should have
at least a small idea of what you are going to do. This will be completely up to you as you have to
chose what you like the most or in other words what makes you happy. If you want to join a club or a
specific class, go ahead if it truly makes you happy, but with that being said, do not join anything in
which you are forced to as it has to come naturally to you. I never had a problem with this, however; I

Caffeine Discussion
Caffeine Discussion Based on my data, I think my isolation was somewhat of a success and in some
ways not. I was able to obtain a pure recovery from the crude caffeine of 21.46%. It is not significant
amount, but it seemed to be enough. A reason for some loss in my data was that some of the crystals
were lost in the process of removing the inner tube. In addition, although I was unable to perform the
NMR, I perform the IR, but my spectra resemble more like a blank. I obtain 0.05 grams of pure crystal
caffeine but it could be that during my removable of the inner tube that when both of the tube
accidently bumped that I lost some of the crystals, which resulted in not enough caffeine for me to get

It occurs when a chemical does from something really hot to really cold quickly, at a low pressure. If
the pressure were to increase then the solid would become a liquid and then a gas. When it actually
came to the sublimation part, the crude substance of caffeine, was put over a heat source at high
degree of heat, around 200 degrees Celsius. The vacuum pipe was attached to the side of the tube, and
it worked to control the pressure within the tube. In the middle of the tube was the most important
part. There was a smaller tube (cold finger) placed, it was filled with ice cold water to ensure that the
gas would sublime, and when it came in contact with the ice cold tube, white caffeine crystals would
form. To ensure that no water got into the tube where the crude substance was, we used saran wrap to
block it. If water had gotten into the crude caffeine tube, then the caffeine would have dissolved. We
also had to be careful when taking out the inner tube that had the caffeine crystals as they were

have been fighting on and off for many years and have not gotten along due to a belief by both states
that the land of Israel is theirs. Israel has used the Two state Solution to try to keep peace with
Palestine but Palestine want the land that they believe is theirs. The Two state Solution is a plan by the
Israeli government to segregate themselves from the Palestinians by forcing them out of Israel or into
refugee camps within Israel. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because of this Palestinians do not have the same luxuries as Israelis that protect Israeli citizens.
Based on an article in Foreign Policy, the lack of equality in Israel poses as a big problem: If
demographic rates continue, the Jewish state may reach a point in the not too distant future when
Israel and the occupied territories will feature a minority of Jews and a majority of Arabs without full
political rights. It s bad enough that Arabs living in Israel and the territories do not have such full
economic, social, or legal rights today. (Cohen). Another example of inequality that is present in the
Two state solution, is that Palestinians do not have equal access to Jerusalem or the West Bank. This is
stated by Epstein in The Christian Science Monitor: The status of Jerusalem, Palestinian right of return
(whether Palestinian refugees can return to their forbears land now in Israeli held territory), Israeli
settlements in the West Bank all remain points of contention. In a One state solution, Palestinians and
Israelis will not treat each other unequally because they will share Israeli

John Deere organizational structure is methodical and unified. The above chart does not totally focus
on the lengths of the structure but these are the heads of each division. John Deere has a total of 8
divisions which are agricultural, constructions, turf, forestry, financial services, power systems, parts

Multi Organizational And Inter Sector Coordination
Abstract: Coordination is when all or multiple agencies interact to achieve a common goal. The value
of agencies coordinating is key to overcome disasters more effectively. The main purpose of multi
organizational, intergovernmental, and inter sector coordination is to get better relationships between
agencies and to use resources wisely. The key for coordination to be achieved is when all agencies or
organizations have pre disaster ties, share accurate information in a timely manner, and work together
to meet the needs of emergency management.

Therefore, the importance of sharing and communicating information is key to facilitate coordination.
Purpose and Benefits of Coordination
The participation of diverse parties ensures access to important information, resources, and skills. The
emergency managers have to tasks. The tasks is the routine responsibilities of running a department
and the broader job of mustering the necessary political support to effect change (Waugh, 2007, p. 58).
The purpose of multi organizational, intergovernmental, and inter sector coordination in emergency
management is to help smooth the steps during disasters whether they are small or large.
For instance, one example of the purpose and benefits of multi organizational, intergovernmental, and
inter sector coordination in emergency management is the theory of intergovernmental. The
intergovernmental theory suggests that local governments should make and effort before and after
disasters occur because this can help minimize the situation by strains that inhibit integrated
policymaking and discourage coordinated disaster management.
If the intergovernmental theory is used the efforts could have conflict resolution, role clarification,
joint planning and training, mutual aid agreements, memorandums of understanding, and the
establishment of interoperable communications systems (Waugh, 2007, p. 59). The main purpose of

The Threat Of The Taliban Essay
Prior to its fall, the Taliban was the essential state supporter of Al Qaeda and gave a place of refuge
that permitted training camps to be set up in Afghanistan. After the fall of the Taliban, Al Qaeda has
extended out to other terrorist amasses in Egypt, Algeria, Pakistan, Yemen, Lebanon, and Somalia.
In Canada, terrorism exuding from Al Qaeda propelled radicalism remains a genuine risk. In spite of
late fruitful operations focusing on Al Qaeda Core, the Service keeps on seeing backing for AQ causes
in Canada. Of specific importance is the aforementioned examination concerning an asserted Al
Qaeda connected plot to assault a train in Southern Ontario, which prompted the capture of two people
in April 2013.Over the recent years Canada has seen an extensive development in both domestic and
global terrorist threat and additionally various significant. There were prominent episodes of
Canadians flying out abroad to take part in terrorist exercises, and the remarkable captures for an
asserted terrorist plot to be completed on Canadian soil. In the United States, fear assaults at the April
2013 Boston Marathon showed the continuous danger to the West from homegrown brutal extremism.
Globally, developments such as, the passing of Osama bin Laden in May 2011, Anwar Awlaki in
September 2011, and other key pioneers dealt major blows to the Al Qaeda (AQ) administration. In
spite of these occurrences, the danger from universal terrorism remains intact. Terrorist developments

NHL, IIHF, and IOC have been having discussions on whether they will send NHLers to the 2018

Why Racism Is an Issue in Need of Solution
Introduction:
In modern day America, racism is a prevalent issue that is often brushed to the side as an issue of the
past. As a citizen in America we are under the assumption that, in accordance with the Declaration of
Independence, Bill of Rights, and by Biblical standards, everyone is equal therefore prejudice based
on race is wrong. In order to establish how wrong racism is people should be educated about the
reasons why and how to prevent it. The best way to do this is to teach about it in school curriculums.
The quandary in this paper is that racism is not taught in schools to the adults and the youth today the
only ones that have a hope of making a real difference. While Racism is by no means new to society it
is a covered matter up where people are often left ignorant of an issue that impacts thousands of
Americans on a daily basis. Despite historical significance, racism is often glossed over in history
classes even though it has a high influential impact on society. More often than not school history
classes speed through from slavery, the Civil War, Jim Crow, and the Civil Rights Movement as a way
to honor Black History Month; while important cases involving racism, like Brown vs. Board, Brown
II, the case of Emmett Till, and the Clark experiment are often times left out because of the negative
outlook it has on American society. In this paper I will utilize Scarry s argument on the right to exit
and Curtis s theory of human superfluous in order to better

Pierre Elliot Trudeau s Impact On Canada
Pierre Elliot Trudeau, a Francophone born in Montreal, became Canada s 15th Prime Minister, with
his Liberal Party, on April 20th, 1968. He is a vital person who had a tremendously positive impact on
Canada and its civilians. The vision he dreamt of giving birth to a nation with freedom and peace was
achieved a couple of years into his political career. He had his fair share of downfalls as a Prime
Minister, but overall the outcome he achieved of his country was magnificent, a result no other Prime
Minster in Canadian history could attain. The most important change my Prime Minister made during
his term in office was settling the everlasting dispute between the French and English Canadians.
Trudeau was a francophone, just like many other politicians. However, unlike them, his method to

thing my Prime Minster did because he is still remembered today for creating this virtuous Act. It is
because of Trudeau that we are able to openly express ourselves and practice our religion and culture
without any restrictions. The Charter of Rights and Freedoms protects the civil, legal, and democratic
rights of civilians. It also gives the aboriginals, the long forgotten and harshly treated inhabitants of
Canada, their legal rights and freedoms. If it wasn t for Trudeau, we would be living in a non

On Different Types of English Ambiguity
【Abstract】 Ambiguity is a wide phenomenon in all languages, including in English. Sometimes,
ambiguity can cause lots of problems if people fail to handle the ambiguity in English properly. Thus,
learning English ambiguity turns to be rather important and rational solutions to erase ambiguity help
people better convey and receive information. This paper analyses different types of ambiguity in
English from aspects of the phonological, the lexical, the syntactic and the pragmatic, and illustrates

Different types of ambiguity 3.1 Phonological ambiguity In linguistics, phonological ambiguity is a
type of ambiguity that arises out of the fact that words sound identical, but in fact have different
meanings. Besides, phonological ambiguity only occurs in spoken English(邱淑德 英语歧义1998).
There are three main reasons of phonological ambiguity: intonation ambiguity, liaison ambiguity and
homophony ambiguity
3.1.1 Intonation
Different from Chinese, a tone language, English is an intonation language. As a musical element of
an utterance, intonation is defined as the variation of the voice pitch when speaking. In spoken
English, when people say words with more than one syllable or sentence with different intonation
placements, ambiguity usually occurs for people s different perceptions of information. Observing the

Essay on The Process of Mummification
The Process of Mummification The earliest ancient Egyptians buried their dead in small pits in the
desert. The heat and dryness of the sand dehydrated the bodies quickly, creating lifelike and natural
mummies
Later, the ancient Egyptians began burying their dead in coffins to protect them from wild animals in
the desert. However, they realized that bodies placed in coffins decayed when they were not exposed
to the hot, dry sand of the desert.
Over many centuries, the ancient Egyptians developed a method of preserving bodies so they would
remain lifelike.Today we call this process mummification.
First the embalmers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Then it is covered with oils to help the skin stay elastic.
The dehydrated internal organs are wrapped in linen and returned to the body. The body is stuffed with
dry materials such as sawdust, leaves and linen so that it looks lifelike. Often the mummy would be
over filled with sawdust and it would explode.
Some times the embalmers made mistakes and a body was badly mummified. It would turn dark and
brittle and limbs would drop off. If the person had a missing limb due to bad mummification or
because they had previously had a limb missing wooden ones would be used as substitutes.
Finally the body is covered again with good smelling oils. It is now ready to be wrapped in linen
In the past, when the internal organs were removed from a body they were placed in hollow canopic
jars.
Over many years the embalming practices changed and embalmers began returning internal organs to
bodies after the organs had been dried in natron. However, solid wood or stone canopic jars were still
buried with the mummy to symbolically protect the internal organs.

Examples Of Implicature Analysis
Implicature Analysis Before telling the theory, Ryan asks what everybody wants in life. Hari answers
something about his girlfriend and Surdy wants to know who Hari s girlfriend is. Actually the question
is intended for Hari but Ryan takes the charge and says it is not his business which appears to be
violation of maxim of relation. He should have told Surdy Hari s girlfriend s name but he and Hari do
not want everybody to know it. In order to hide the information from others, Ryan violates maxim of

Summary Of Unnatural Causes
Episode one of the video series Unnatural Causes focuses on two very important topics that are of
extreme importance, they are Sickness and Wealth. Sickness and wealth is what the typical person in
life wants to have. The video starts off with opening in Louisville, Kentucky explore why people get
sick and why certain sickness and health depend on race and social class. The video walks through the
lives of different social classes to have a better understanding of how people in each class live. A
CEO, a lab supervisor, a janitor, and an unemployed mother are all monitored for a period of time to

Role Of Witches In Macbeth
The Wicked Witches of Scotland
Throughout history, people have often fought over power and used it to dominate others. There are
many forms of power such as physical strength, knowledge, wealth, possessions, and fear. These are
simple, mundane powers that people can wield. However, in many religions and some superstitions,
people believe in beings who possess supernatural powers. In William Shakespeare s Macbeth there
are such beings, more specifically witches, who have many paranormal capabilities, including casting
curses and predicting the future. Shakespeare incorporates these characters into his play to emphasize
the inherent fear of these supernatural forces. Different cultures have varying types of witches, the

(3.5. 26 33).
As depicted in this quote, witches do not always have a rational reason for bringing calamity upon
someone by deceiving them. They plan on giving Macbeth a false sense of security, so that he will be
overconfident, which will be the cause of his downfall. Both of these examples demonstrate that The
Three Weird Sisters are corrupted by their powers because they deceive Macbeth and interfere with his
fate. They do this solely for their own entertainment and to cause evil in the world. Secondly, The
Witches are malicious beings who find joy and amusement in the pain of others. Witches are often
depicted as repulsive old women who are feared because they cast spells and curses upon people who
have displeased them. This malevolent nature is demonstrated by The Witches in Macbeth in Act 1,
Scene 3 when they bewitch a sailor to wreak vengeance on his wife who refuses to give one of The
Witches some of her chestnuts. The second time The Three Weird Sisters meet, the First Witch
informs her companions of the spiteful things she will do to the sailor when she says: I ll drain him

Human Nature In Shakespeare s Hamlet
To, be or not to be, is one of William Shakespeare s most notable inquiries regarding the self in the
tragedy Hamlet (3.1.56). Hamlet is one of Shakespeare s most complicated characters, in that the
audience is able to view Hamlet s internal struggle. By orchestrating chaos, Shakespeare creates an
environment in which the male characters; Hamlet and Claudius, are free to contemplate and express
their respective nature. However, when it comes to Gertrude; Hamlet s mother and initial instigator of
Hamlet s conflict, there is no interior examination. There is only recognition of her sexuality, and the
chaos that ensues from her decision to lay with Claudius. So why does someone so interested in
human nature, like William Shakespeare, not ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
84). Already the concept of human nature alludes to a hierarchy. Those of a wealthier status are more
capable of attainting culture, and therefore able to cultivate their nature. This may be one of the
reasons why women, who were seen as imperfect men, did not have the freedom to explore their
interiority (Marquis 1257). Women were not made in the image of God, but rather: she is the image of
man in a restrictive and analogical sense, because woman was made from man, after man, inferior to
him and his likeness (Farber). Women were by design lower in the hierarchy. Not only did the
Renaissance now contemplate the self, but they also found celebration of the self. Cultural historian,
Jacob Burckhardt, argues that: In the Middle Ages, man was conscious of himself only as a member of
a race, people, party, family or corporation only through some general category (Burke 193). During
the Renaissance, however: ...this veil first melted into air...man became a spiritual individual, and
recognized himself as such (193). Man could now be a spiritual individual outside of the theological
realm because of this humanist movement of the Renaissance. This idea was simplified by the
Renaissance Italian philosopher, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, in his work Oration on the Dignity of
Man. He believed that

between gaining and losing weight almost to this day. Since I value fashion and style immensely not
being able to be comfortable with my body, and in hand with myself, had a negative impact on my
daily life. Also, the negative attitude that came with being overweight in society and not fitting into
the criteria of the ideal body didn t help on my self value and self esteem. An impact so significant that
I changed the direction of my future career in working in the fashion industry because I thought that
my appearance wouldn t have worked in my favor in the fashion and couture world of size zero
models. Although my parents taught me to be relentless when it came to my dreams and to never
undervalue myself, their lessons and words of wisdom weren t going to change how I perceived the
world to think. Had I gone through that phase of my life nowadays, it would ve carried on a different

Tools and Implements that Represent
When reflected upon deeply, one may believe that the objects around a person have the ability to
represent them, or at the very least, relay some sort of message about them. For instance, although the
gulags try to uphold the goal of demoralizing its prisoners and stripping them of their humanity, some
individuals are able to save themselves from such a tradition. These individuals are able to do so as
they put their desires of sustaining hope and dignity, in the particular items they keep by their side. In
Alexander Solzhenitsyn s novel, One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, Shukhov s unaffected nature
is represented by several tools and implements. Through the use of various tools and implements, ...

Ultimately, because he possesses the quality of working committedly and passionately, Shukhov s
hardworking nature is evident and remains consistent. Moreover, in order to make some extra money
for personal use, Shukhov uses his thread and needle to do odd jobs around the gulags. Although he
receives ...thirty rubles a month [from his work camp, Ust Izhma], he continues...making slippers (for
two rubles)...or patching up a jacket [naming his price] (123). Evidently, by doing so, Shukhov shows
his willingness to spend his free time working for some more money rather than relieving himself of
exhaustion from a day s work in the gulags. The fact that he instead actively engages in these small
tasks portrays both his meticulous assets in terms of the needle and thread, but also his trait of doing
as much as humanly possible in order to be self satisfied. Additionally Shukhov does not solely rely
on the money he receives from working in the gulags. This shows his quality of being independent
and boundless in the sense that if anything goes wrong, he will still have a financial base to fall back
on, even if it is just pocket money. Therefore, by using the trowel, and the needle and thread, Shukhov
s hardworking character trait is well symbolized.
By using the scrap piece of metal, the author is able to represent Shukhov s resourcefulness, creativity,
and overall hopeful attitude. To begin,

  • 2. Reflection Paper On Counselling The first counseling session was an introductory time for me and Counselor, Janine King to become acquainted. Janine introduced her techniques and her journey to becoming a counselor. I shared my counseling journey, my academic goals, and the areas that I wanted to focus on during the ten weeks. The session ended by creating a road map of the areas in my life that might be explored. In session two, Janine went over my MMPI results and inquired about my life story. It was interesting to learn that Janine s MMPI results were similar to mine. Janine encouraged me to view the results with an open mind and use the new information to propel growth in my life. I spent the rest of the session sharing my life story, and secrets about my past that had never been shared before. The session closed with reflection and prayer. The third session I was introduced to an exercise called Safe Place, as well as The Six R s Script. The Six R s are: recognizing my sin, repenting of the sin, receiving freedom, realigning with God, and rejoicing in the healing and freedom I received. I walked through the Six R s Script after I identified sin that still gripped me. The session ended with Safe Place exercise and prayer. I left with action steps on how to move forward in my new found healing and freedom. The fourth session was full of struggle and frustration. I went into the session thankful for the victory from the week before, but as we delved into my past ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Increasing global temperatures are likely to have extreme effects on global climate and may result in species extinction, changes in agricultural production and deleterious effects on health. Studies have been conducted in recent years on the effects of increase of greenhouse gases on the thermohaline circulation. There are several hypotheses that state that the prolonged effect of global warming could eventually shut down the thermohaline circulation and lead to cooling in certain regions in ... Global Warming [5] The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), in February 2007, submitted a 21 page report assessing the effect of global warming on global climate. The report stated that: most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid 20th century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations . Emission of infrared radiation warms the Earth surface; the phenomenon is known as the Greenhouse Effect. The dominant infrared absorbing gases in the Earth s atmosphere are water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2) and ozone (O3). The interactions between greenhouse gas molecules and radiation can be explained by quantum mechanics. CO2 and O3 molecules have vibration motions whose quantum states can be excited by collisions at energies encountered in the atmosphere. Industrial activities, such as fossil fuel burning and other human activities such as cement production and tropical deforestation has increased the carbon dioxide concentrations in the atmosphere. These questions were unemployment, poverty and dislocation of working people. The economic prospect in this period was to be developed with a view of Keynesian economics. This was converged with social concerns. The biggest of these was racism. It was also important in this period to root out complacency that was developed during the consensus period. There was a general view that with complacency, countries such as Russia would outmaneuver America. Civil rights movements were very active during this period. The Civil Rights Act was supported by President John F. Kennedy with a view of having an equal society. Clathrin-Mediated Endocytosis 1 Clathrin Mediated Endocytosis In this method, the binding of the virion to host receptors triggers Clathrin mediated endoycytosis. The virion attachment to the host receptor causes the binding of an adaptor protein to the receptorcytoplasmic tail. Adaptor proteins bind to clathrin, and the local concentration of adaptor proteins onthe inside face of the plasma membrane allows clathrin to multimerize to form Clathrin Coated Pit(CCP). GTPase dynamin pinch off the CCP from the host membrane thereby releasing the Clathrin Coated Vesicle (CCV). Auxilin and hsc70 release the clathrin basket. The vesicle then delivers itsviral content to early endosomes. Endosomal carrier vesicles transport contents of early endosometo late endosome that is near to nucleus. Then, late endosome fuses with lysosome.decrease in pHis due to vATPase ,which is used to pump out protons into vesicle. 2 Caveolar and Lipid Raft Mediated Endocytosis In this method, a virus particle bind to the cell surface which by then activates signal transductionpathways required for pinching off of the vesicle, which then moves within the cytoplasm. • 15. Utopia By Thomas Moore s Utopia Thomas Moore s Utopia appears to be a perfect society where everyone is treated fairly and equally. However, Utopia is not as egalitarian as it appears. This can be determined through the implications about and restraints placed on women. The attitude toward women in Utopia may have been seen as acceptable in 1516, but in contrast with today s standards this approach in the book towards women is misogynistic and oppressive. In Utopia, values are critical to the preservation of peace in society. Yet, these values do not include fair and proper treatment of every individual. Utopia appears to be a land of no persecution but women still suffer and are harassed through the societal standards pressed upon them as a condition of their sex. While the land of Utopia at first appears to give more rights to women than many countries did at the time, it becomes evident that the treatment of women and their rights are not representative of the supposed egalitarian principles applauded in the novel. There are multiple cases in Utopia where conflict is evident between the treatment of men and the treatment of women. There are many moments in Utopia when it appears that the women are equal to men, only to turn around and suggest they are not. One of these examples is when Raphael Hythloday is discussing the terms and conditions of marriage, or rather, conditions prior to even the engagement. The three elements of the triad are considered the most crucial component of information security. Confidentiality is very similar to privacy of data; it is put in place in order to prevent important and sensitive data from falling into the wrong hands, whilst at the same time making sure it is available to the people that actually need it and are authorised to it. For instance, one example of the purpose and benefits of multi organizational, intergovernmental, and inter sector coordination in emergency management is the theory of intergovernmental. The intergovernmental theory suggests that local governments should make and effort before and after disasters occur because this can help minimize the situation by strains that inhibit integrated policymaking and discourage coordinated disaster management. As of right now, they will not be any NHL players participating in this once in a lifetime opportunity. The NHL, IIHF, and IOC have been having discussions on whether they will send NHLers to the 2018 Olympics. • 29. Why Racism Is an Issue in Need of Solution Introduction: In modern day America, racism is a prevalent issue that is often brushed to the side as an issue of the past. As a citizen in America we are under the assumption that, in accordance with the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, and by Biblical standards, everyone is equal therefore prejudice based on race is wrong. In order to establish how wrong racism is people should be educated about the reasons why and how to prevent it. The best way to do this is to teach about it in school curriculums. The quandary in this paper is that racism is not taught in schools to the adults and the youth today the only ones that have a hope of making a real difference. While Racism is by no means new to society it is a covered matter up where people are often left ignorant of an issue that impacts thousands of Americans on a daily basis. Despite historical significance, racism is often glossed over in history classes even though it has a high influential impact on society. More often than not school history classes speed through from slavery, the Civil War, Jim Crow, and the Civil Rights Movement as a way to honor Black History Month; while important cases involving racism, like Brown vs. Board, Brown II, the case of Emmett Till, and the Clark experiment are often times left out because of the negative outlook it has on American society. Both of these examples demonstrate that The Three Weird Sisters are corrupted by their powers because they deceive Macbeth and interfere with his fate. Hamlet is one of Shakespeare s most complicated characters, in that the audience is able to view Hamlet s internal struggle. By orchestrating chaos, Shakespeare creates an environment in which the male characters; Hamlet and Claudius, are free to contemplate and express their respective nature. However, when it comes to Gertrude; Hamlet s mother and initial instigator of Hamlet s conflict, there is no interior examination. Those of a wealthier status are more capable of attainting culture, and therefore able to cultivate their nature. This may be one of the reasons why women, who were seen as imperfect men, did not have the freedom to explore their interiority (Marquis 1257). Women were not made in the image of God, but rather: she is the image of man in a restrictive and analogical sense, because woman was made from man, after man, inferior to him and his likeness (Farber). Women were by design lower in the hierarchy. Not only did the Renaissance now contemplate the self, but they also found celebration of the self. Cultural historian, Jacob Burckhardt, argues that: In the Middle Ages, man was conscious of himself only as a member of a race, people, party, family or corporation only through some general category (Burke 193). During the Renaissance, however: ...this veil first melted into air...man became a spiritual individual, and recognized himself as such (193).
