Our next adventure was Brooklyn, NY. Although this borough was just a 20 minute train ride
away I never really had many opportunities to visit it. I was excited to visit the borough because

Year round schooling is better than traditional schooling because, the summer retention is much
higher, special education and english language learners benefit much more, end of the year test
scores are higher and the year round school calendar fits our culture more now than it used to with
the traditional school year.
As an education major with a focus in special education, I was trying to figure out what to write
and research for this paper. Starting to look at the the topics list at the bottom was the topic Year
Round Schools. Looking at that and realizing, that sounded like a silly idea when I was a student,
why would I not want a longer summer break. However as I am an educator myself now and
realize that a one or two week break every other month sounds a like terrific idea. Then after
researching the topic I learned that not only is the schedule different but they re many more
benefits to year round schools than their traditional counterparts. Year round school research shows
that their children have better end of the year test scores. They also show that English language
learner children and Special Education children learn at a faster pace than the children at traditional
schools with the same programs. Also the summer break retention rate of what the children learn

As the population of this study was the Indian SMEs in Europe which were thousands in
numbers; it was notpractical to reach all of them within the timeframe available to complete this
dissertation. This made it inevitable to undertake sampling. Sampling is undertaken in order to
select units or members that are representative of the population. There are mainly two kinds of
sampling namely probability and non probability sampling (Sekaran and Bougie, 2009). A
probability sample is a sample in which every element of the population has a known and equal
likelihood of being selected. Non probability sample is any sample in which little or no attempt is
made to get a representative cross section of the population (Lamb et al. 2013).
This study made use of non random sampling. A non random sampling method is one where each
member of the population does not have a known or calculable non zero probability of being
selected (Marchevsky, 2000). The response rate of the questionnairewas low as expected at 26. 08
%. Of the 46 companies which were sent, only 12 completed questionnaires could be collected. A
request for interview was also sent to these companies of which only three gave permission and
with whom interviews were conducted.

The Root Cause Of The Civil War
Slavery, as Abraham Lincoln often noted, was the root cause of the Civil War. Tensions over
slavery dated back to the contradictory nature of the American Revolution of 1776 that resulted in a
republic simultaneously committed to freedom for whites and bondage for blacks (Barney W., p.
61). Within years North and South reached the point at which compromise was not possible. At that
time Civil War had been started.
In this paper we would analyze the causes of the Civil War and advocate the thesis that slavery
was the cause of the Civil War.
As we already noted in the 1800s expediency of slavery was disputed. While industrial North
almost abandoned bondage, by the early 19th century, slavery was almost exclusively confined to
the South, home to more than 90 percent of American blacks (Barney W., p. 61). Agrarian South
needed free labor force in order to stimulate economic growth. In particular, whites exploited
blacks in textile production. This conditioned the differences in economic and social development
of the North and South, and opposing viewpoints on the social structure. Northerners now saw
slavery as a barbaric relic from the past, a barrier to secular and Christian progress that
contradicted the ideals of the Declaration of Independence and degraded the free labor aspirations
of Northern society (Barney W., p. 63).
In 1830s some faithful activists like W. Garrison, Tappan brothers, T. Weld and others have made
several publications advocating antislavery movement and claiming that slavery is a major sin.
They give birth to the movement of abolitionism and win over many white Americans to their camp.
Main goal of the early abolitionists was to create a better society through reforms and they
engaged in a battle to convince their fellow Americans that it was morally wrong to keep other
humans in bondage. In order to realize a better and more righteous republic, they believed, the
institution of slavery had to be rejected (Harpen R., Dal Lago E., p. 296). Many abolitionists
appealed to abolish slavery immediately as they believed all people should be equal in rights. The

Health was once a very basic word with simply one meaning. For many years health professionals
defined health as the absence of diagnosable disease , and it was as simple as that (Murdaugh,
Parsons Pender, 2006, p. 6). If you didn t have a disease then you were considered healthy. In
today s world, that is just one of the many meanings of the word health . The world is so diverse,
composed of different social, ethnic, cultural, and religious groups whom all have different
