Introduction
In general an emerging market is defined as an economy that is steadily progressing towards reaching
the status of an advanced economy. According to the World Bank, there are 28 major emerging
markets to date (The World Bank 2016).
Hence these markets play a pivotal role in influencing the world s economy as it consists of 82% of
the world s population. With 82% of the world s population under its belt, this market poses an
exceptional potential for business development. By 2020, these markets economy is predicted to
develop three times faster compared to an advanced market (The World Bank 2016).
Although there s a lucrative offer outlaid, companies are faced with many barriers internationally
which could lead to pitfalls. Therefore it is important that an international market research is
conducted to understand customer s needs which will give managers information on constructing a
strategic decision before exploiting the market. This report mainly covers the barriers of conducting a

The Omo Site Of Ethiopia, Africa
In this research paper we will be discussing the Omo site in Ethiopia, Africa. Some key points that
will be discussed will be its original discovery in 1967, it s addition research that was completed in
2005, Omo I and II s updated age (McDougall et al., 2005), and the scientific importance of the
discoveries from this site and what it means for idea of the first appearance of the modern human
(Fleagle et al., 2008).
In 1967 in the Lower Omo Valley near Kibish, Ethiopia along the Omo river, a team from the Kenya
National Museums, led by Richard Leakey an anthropologist and conservationist, did an initial
exploration which led to the discovery of several stone tools, hominin fossils, and various other skull
fossils of mammals. In this expedition the team found parts of what would be known as Omo I and
Omo II. The finds for Omo I comprised of the mandible, dentition, several parts of the cranium, and a
considerable portion of the post cranial skeleton. Omo I s finds has been described as being a modern
skeleton of Homo sapiens. Omo II comprised of an almost intact neurocranium, which has been
described as primitive remains most closely resembling Homo erectus (Fleagle et al. 2008). At that
time in 1967, researches faced a difficult time establishing an accurate age of these remains due in part
to the confines of technology. The team at this time decided to use a rather controversial method that
looked at radiometric dates on shells from a Nile oyster (Etheria elliptica) bank

Park Ridge Is A Population Of 37856 People Essay
Park Ridge has a population of 37,856 people; it consists of a median resident age of 44 years ( Park
Ridge, Illinois ). Estimated median household income is $85,967 and an estimated median house or
condo value is $364,345 ( Park Ridge, Illinois ). The demographics of the people living in Park Ridge
consists of 87 percent Whites, 6.7 percent Hispanics, 3.7 percent Asians, and 1.1 percent Blacks ( Park
Ridge, Illinois ). As I traveled around the neighborhood of the Maine East High School, I observed a
numerous resources in terms of restaurants areas, groceries stores, and overall real estate development
of the area. There are several opportunities in the area; lots of up and coming companies and
businesses are present. Furthermore, groceries store like Jewel Osco was 2 blocks away from the
actual school itself; and the area has a ton of other alternatives options for shopping. Malls and big
plazas surrounds the area and offer lots of useful stores can be found almost anywhere (See appendix
1).
Large homes surround Maine East High School (See appendix 4). District 207 revenue by source for
the year 2014 15 indicates that local property taxes for the district are $113,093,113, other local
funding are $6,215,628, general state aid are $3,217,216, and other state funding are $4,239,735,
coming to a grand total of $130,270,117 for the District of 207 which only has three schools: Maine

Examples Of Self Care Through Ayurveda
Module 5 Self care through Ayurveda.
Ayurveda, provides detailed account of the cause , symptoms and treatment of disease on one hand,
and detailed guidelines for the prevention of disease, to stay healthy, promote youthfulness and delay
ageing on the other . It also emphasizes that each individual is different whether in a natural state of
health or in an unnatural state of disease, But whether its state of health or disease the key remains the
balance . The state of disease may warrant the intervention of an Ayurvedic physician but in the state
of health or mild disorders, if we can keep mind, body, and environment in proper balance, health is
restored, youthfulness is prolonged and aging happens without much deterioration and incapacitation.

According to Ayurveda this is the site of Pitta and has to be protected from the onslaught of Kapha at
all times. Otherwise there is a diminution of vision with time gradually.
The simplest but very effective eye care routine you can follow is to irrigate your eyes with fresh and
pure water while bathing. Fill your mouth with water and using the running tap water splash gently the
open eyes with small amount of water in your palms. Do it repeatedly till the water in your mouth
tends to loose its coolness. Release the water of your mouth and after a short break for few second
repeat the process twice. This procedure as per Ayurveda cleanses the eyes, protects it from the
onslaught of kapha and increases vision.
Eye douching with Trifla water regularly is very effective to increase visual acuity (please refer to the
chapter of management of common diseases through Ayurveda)
As told earlier foot massage is very beneficial to increase the vision. Particular attention is to be given
to massaging the big toes for extra benefit.
Rub both your palms and using your index and middle finger gently massages the margins of the eye
orbits from the side of nose towards ears seven times twice a day after meals. It can have wonderful
results on visual acuity in particular and the health of the eyes in

The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Pypendop And Verstegen
Pypendop and Verstegen.(2000) have reported in a laser Doppler study on intestinal and skeletal, but
not renal cortical micro vascular perfusion was reduced by intramuscular medetomidine in dogs
anesthetized with isoflurane. Medetomidine premedication via intramuscular increased the CNS
uptake of a lipophilic tracer during brain perfusion imaging in healthy dogs, leading the to postulate
that the central distribution of the tracer have been enhanced as a consequence of a lower
proportionate decrease incentral nervous system( CNS) perfusion when compared to peripheral tissues

(2000) have correlated the clinical effects of medetomidine and dexmedetomidine in dogs and
reported little difference in their cardiovascular effects. Like medetomidine, dexmedetomidine has no
direct effect on the myocardium (Flackeet al., 1992). Similarly, equipotent intravenous doses of
dexmedetomidine and medetomidine have minimal effects on ventilation in dogs (Kuuselaet al.,
2000).Marked vasoconstriction and hypertension are initially seen in dogs followed almost
immediately by baroreflex mediated bradycardia(Bloor et al., 1992). Consequently, the cardiac index
and oxygen delivery decreases as systemic vascular resistance and central venous pressure are
increased (Flackeet al., 1993). In denervated dogs, different administration regimens led to typical
cardiovascular changes that were readily antagonized by atipamazole. Kuuselaet al. (2000) and
Kuuselaet al.(2001) havereported frequent first degree and occasional second degree atrioventricular
blocks accompanied by accentuated sinus arrhythmia and prolonged sinus pauses after both
medetomidine and dexmedetomidine administration. Any electrical abnormalities of ventricular origin
have been infrequently reported. All the changes in the ECGs resolve spontaneously and 24 hour aflter
monitoring performed after dexmedetomidine/ medetomidine sedation in healthy beagle dogs revealed
no sustained arrhythmias (Kuuselaet al., 2002). Although the central and peripheral effects on

International Exports Of Industrial Goods And Technology
Introduction
Today, more than 50 economies operate ECAs to support national exports of industrial goods and
technology. A large portion of export credit transactions are related to large scale energy projects such
as power plants, hydropower dams and pipeline infrastructures, that may take several years to develop
and are often associated with countries with high political risk. ECAs provide financial supports to
national exporters in forms of export insurance, risk guarantees and direct loans so exporters can
accept deferred payments from buyers under condition of high uncertainty.
Such financing instrument has gained its strategic importance as more economies view exports as a
vital national objective and lead to increase in number of established ECAs and volumes of export
credit transactions. During the 1990s, the annual volume of export credit provided by Organisation for
Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries averaged roughly $80 100 billion per
annum (Maurer and Nakhood, 2003). Since then, volumes have grown, reaching a record of $514
billion in 2010 (Berne Union 2011). As ECAs gained presence in international financial market, its
influence beyond their impact on international trade flows were acknowledged among stakeholders.
One of notable concerns was impact on environment. Environmental groups have criticized ECAs for
being involved in controversial large scale projects that have negative impacts on environment, such
as large dams that submerge

Reflection About Reading And Writing
It was my second grade year, I was only 7 years old, when I first found my hatred of anything that had
to do with reading or writing. Every week my teacher would give us a lengthy list of vocabulary
words that we had to memorize before our spelling test the following week. I would study for periods
at a time trying to memorize this gruesome lists of words, that I could never commemorate. When it
came down to the day of the test I would see all my classmates at ease, while I would panic trying to
remember what I studied. When it finally became time to take the test, I heard the teacher call the
word island , but I couldn t concentrate. I was frustrated, I couldn t think, the teacher would ask is
everyone ready to move on , but I wouldn t say anything, because I was too shy. After a couple of days
I would get my score back, and wasn t surprised when I found out that I had failed the test. Weekley
this was recurring theme when I got my spelling test returned. Eventually, I accepted the fact that
reading and writing was not for me. Although my second grade experience was terrible, my third
grade year gave me an experience that I never had with literacy. My teacher Mrs. Quinn, would give
us a list of vocabulary words, but instead of us memorizing them, we would have to create a story
using these words. This opened my eyes to a component of literacy that I never explored. I had total
creative freedom, something that I wasn t familiar with. The first set of words, was over

The Symbol Of Christmas In Grecian Home
In the county of Greece, St. Nicholas is called Άγιος Βασίλης. His clothes are soaked with brine and
his beard is dripping wet. As the protector of sailors and seamen, his face is covered with perspiration
as he tries to reach sinking ships and save men from drowning.
Christmas trees are not traditional symbols in Greek homes. Rather, the symbol of Christmas in
Grecian homes is a clay bowl with a piece of wire suspended across the top. Hanging from the wire is
a sprig of basil tied around a wooden cross, and below the cross, to keep the basil fresh is a bit of holy
water.
Greek tradition says that during the twelve day period, from Christmas to the Feast of the Epiphany on
January 6th, the Killantzaroi, a type of goblin, rises from the

Three phase induction motor of wound rotor type is commonly used in adjustable speed drives.
According to the type of winding on rotor, there are two common types of induction machines namely,
squirrel cage induction motor and wound rotor induction motor. Squirrel cage induction motors are
mostly used in industrial drives which have cylindrical rotor with short circuited rotor windings with
the voltage supplied to stator windings. The rotor does not have a brushes and commutator but
consists of conducting bars that are placed into the rotor slots. These bars are short circuited by the
shorting rings. Whereas wound rotor induction motors have wye connected rotor windings. In addition
to the voltage that is applied to the stator windings, the phase voltages can be supplied to the rotor
winding using brushes and slip rings. However, wound rotor induction motors have not been widely
used because their efficiency and maximum angular velocity are lower compared to squirrel cage. On
the other hand, squirrel cage motors have been tremendously used in high performance electric drives
and electromechanical systems. Therefore, in this thesis, only three phase squirrel cage induction
motor drive is taken and performance analysis has been done using

Comparison of Mr. Wickham s and Elizabeth s Attitude Towards Marriage in Jane Austen s Pride and
Prejudice
The novel, Pride and Prejudice revolves around a mother of five daughters, Mrs. Bennet, whose sole
purpose is to marry off her daughters to suitable men. Her eldest, Jane, is her most prized daughter.
Mrs. Bennet is assured that Jane s beauty and meticulous manners will win her a prized husband. In
the end Mrs. Bennet succeeds in marrying her to a husband and in addition she gets Lydia and
Elizabeth married too; Jane to Mr Bingley, Lydia to Mr. Wickham and Elizabeth to Mr. Darcy.

Also that he had no money of his own too.
Finally Mr. Wickham decides to run away with Lydia, which eventually turns out to be a good thing
for Mr. Wickham. The Bennett s thought that they would get bad name now and that they would never
get Janeor any of their daughters for that matter, to marry a man of great fortune. No man would want
to marry a woman who has a family with a bad reputation.
This is when Darcy comes in and helps out by finding both Lydia and Mr. Wickham. He pays Mr.
Wickham ten thousand pounds to marry Lydia. But Mr. Bennet thinks Mr. Wickham is a fool to take
Lydia with a farthing less than ten thousand pounds . In the end this saves the Bennet family from a
bad reputation and shame. Mr. Wickham ends up marrying Lydia.
So all in all it seems that Mr. Wickham was generally looking for a woman with money enough to live
with and have an ordinary life with the exception that he had taken a liking to Elizabeth when he
arrived in to Meryton.
Elizabeth a woman looking for romance and love takes a liking towards Mr. Wickham when she meets
him at his arrival to Meryton, but she knows that they can not be together for it would be a hard life
with Mr. Wickham as an officer in the regiments .
Then Elizabeth is cautioned by Charlotte to

Power Of The American Dream In The Great Gatsby
The Power of the American Dream
The American Dream is the belief that anyone can be successful if they just work hard enough. It is
about pursuing happiness through independence and integrity. Many individuals rely on the American
Dream to give them a meaningful life, when in actuality it destroys one s happiness. In reality, those
who give no significance to the American Dream are the ones who are actually satisfied with their
lives. Fitzgerald s novel, The Great Gatsby, shows that finding purpose in one s life does not revolve
around the American Dream. As a matter of fact, individuals are most content without trying to
achieve that utmost success. The American Dream is a false prospect that people attempt to achieve,
and as a result, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Myrtle believed that in order to be content, she required prosperity and the American Dream. In
reality, the American Dream diminishes one s power to have a meaningful life. The main way in
which Myrtle tried to achieve wealth, was by having an affair with Tom Buchanan. Tom was a
successful, wealthy individual who Myrtle used to gain more wealth. She used his affluence for
herself, and ended up losing the American Dream. Myrtle s greed for luxury made her have an affair
with Tom, and Mr. Wilson eventually found out. Once Mr. Wilson realized Myrtle s motives, he tried
to achieve more money for her. His actions ultimately led to Myrtle s own death. Myrtle lost her
American Dream as quickly as it came in. She was driven to achieve more wealth, and she even died
trying. Basically, her own attempt to become prosperous was what eventually decreased her power to
become happy. From the start, Myrtle was deprived of money and she was unhappy. She actually
remained distressed because of her chase of the American Dream. Myrtle died because she continued
to blame Wilson for her lack of wealth. This is revealed when she says, Beat me...Throw me down and
beat me, you dirty little coward! (pg. 145). Therefore, this proves that another way in which Myrtle
tried to gain more money, was by blaming Mr. Wilson. She pointed all of her problems in Mr. Wilson s
direction, and eventually died by doing so. Mr. Wilson chased Myrtle out of the house, because he was
so upset with how disappointed Myrtle was with him. This shows that Myrtle tried to accumulate
more wealth by involving Mr. Wilson. The outcome was that she lost control and the American Dream
all together. Instead of life just becoming more distressed, Myrtle actually died as a result. Another
way in which Myrtle tried to acquire the American Dream, was through the way she dressed herself.
In the book, Myrtle tried to show that she

Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and Parenting
Boisterous , energetic , and spontaneous were once adjectives used to describe the behaviour of
normal, healthy children [CITE]. These days, similar behaviours might be labeled problematic ,
hyperactive , and uncontrollable , often resulting in the diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder (ADHD) and the prescription of a psychostimulant drug [CITE]. According to the DMS V,
ADHD is described as a combination of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity (American
Psychiatric Association, 2013). Due to the nature of the symptoms, ADHD can significantly hinder a
child s ability to succeed in a school setting, both academically and socially, which could have dire
implications for their future [CITE]. With almost 11% of children in the United States currently
diagnosed with the disorder, ADHD has been labeled an epidemic and this has lead to a significant
increase in the amount of research devoted to determining its cause and treatment [CITE]. The
increased attention has also attracted a great deal of controversy, with medical experts questioning the
safety of administering psychostimulant drugs to children. Although the evidence is often
contradictory, due to an increase in the documentation of the adverse side effects in children caused by
psychostimulant medication [CITE] as well as an increase in the evidence of nonpharmacological
treatments successfully reducing the symptoms of ADHD, many parents have become reluctant in
allowing their children to

Report of the DLF Electronic Resource Management Initiative Appendix D: Entity Relationship
Diagram for Electronic Resource Management Introduction This document is an entity relationship
diagram, or ERD, for a system to manage electronic resources. An ERD is a model that identifies the
concepts or entities that exist in a system and the relationships between those entities. An ERD is often
used as a way to visualize a relational database: each entity represents a database table, and the
relationship lines represent the keys in one table that point to specific records in related tables. ERDs
may also be more abstract, not necessarily capturing every table needed within a database, but serving
to diagram the major concepts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Optionality expresses whether the relationship is optional or mandatory. Cardinality expresses the
maximum number of relationships. As a relationship line is followed from an entity to another, near
the related entity two symbols will appear. The first of those is the optionality indicator. A circle ( ( )
indicates that the relationship is optional the minimum number of relationships between each instance
of the first entity and instances of the related entity is zero. One can think of the circle as a zero, or a
letter O for optional. A stroke ( | ) indicates that the relationship is mandatory the minimum number of
relationships between each instance of the first entity and instances of the related entity is one. The
second symbol indicates cardinality. A stroke ( | ) indicates that the maximum number of relationships
is one. A crows foot ([pic] ) indicates that many such relationships between instances of the related
entities might exist. The following diagram indicates all of the possible combinations: [pic] In our

The Most Valuable Lessons Learned In Leadership
What is the most valuable lesson you have learned in a leadership role?
Leadership roles have taught me many things throughout my primary school education. I have had a
few leadership roles throughout my education including New Tech Ambassadors and National Honors
Society. The most valuable lessons I have learned include that of patience, persistence, and austerity. I
have learned that people need you to continue and press them and continue to help and lead; to be
persistent in your leadership helps those who follow you. Leadership has taught me to have patience.
Though, not to be lax. You must still be persistent. Lastly, to be respected as a leader it is best to be

Inclusion of Games in National Education Curriculum Essay
Inclusion of Games in National Education Curriculum
The inclusion of games in the national curriculum for physical education, provide children with a wide
range of benefits, which can lead to increased physical and mental development through sport. Team
games have recently been emphasised in the national curriculum, with a privileged status for games
establishing within the activity based framework of the national curriculum (Williams, 2000). It is a
common fact that sport can provide children with positive and enjoyable experiences, and through the
appropriate teaching and learning of games, these experiences can be developed to provide children

Key stage 1 states that pupils should be taught that regular exercise improves health and how one
feels. In order to encourage children to further participate in physical activity, the child s experience
must be an enjoyable one. It is no use taking a large group of children and have them running around a
gym with no real aim or objective. This is reflected in key stage 2 when it states that children should
be taught that exercise can be fun and sociable. Williams (2000), states that P.E experiences need to be
fun, exciting, challenging and rewarding. Games can provide children with a variety of enjoyable and
challenging experiences, including working as a team member, appropriate competition and a variety
of different game situations. There is the argument however that time allocation for physical education
in schools is not enough to improve the physical fitness of a child. Siedentop (1994) states that time is
always limited, and students should get as much successful experience as possible. Although time
scale is restricted, if the experience is enjoyable, then it may lead to children seeking further
opportunities in sport.
As well as developing and encouraging a physically active lifestyle, games is

The State House in Atlanta, Georgia was very busy, lots of people coming and going. They were there
to meet with Parliament members and the Prime Minister. After the event there was a lot of upheaval
and chaos in the former southern states. Quite a few people, primarily activists of various origins,
mostly race related, didn t see the night the lights went out as the end of the world, like many people
did. They saw it as a new beginning, an opportunity to redefine their world, to escape the shackles
they believed that held them back previously. Jerimiah St. Michaels was a brilliant man. He stood five
feet nine inches, was moderate build, and had a bald head not to be confused with a shaved head, since
he had lost his hair in his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He thrived in college; he stayed away from the activist groups always running around blaming others
for their problems. If not the white man, then the police, the federal government. You name it, they
blamed it. After earning his second degree, he moved on to grad school and continued to work on a
graduate degree in Political Science; after his second year, he was elected student body president and
he relished it. However, he knew it would be coming to an end soon once he entered his third year,
because he d graduate at the end of the semester. During that third year he interned with a United
States Senator from Georgia, and one of the first lessons he learned from the Senator, a black man,
was that the Senator didn t like to be referred to as African American. He was a black American. Part
of the reason he believed that some blacks were having problems were that they were segregating
themselves from the rest of the country. He was another man that strongly believed that hard work and
dedication would get you anything in life no excuses, no blame, you wanted it, you worked for it.
Once Jerimiah graduated he was offered a full time position with the Senator and he gladly accepted
it. For two more years he worked with the Senator. He was like a sponge, watching and learning. The
Senator had recognized himself in the young Jerimiah and encouraged him to seek a seat on the local
city council as a way to get his feet wet. The Senator

Romans were heavily influenced by Etruscan and Greek culture. Economics and Politics The economy
and politics of Greece were extremely complex. Most importantly Greek commercial expansion
through new trade markets around the Mediterranean with the non Greek world made it possible for
more men to purchase land and power. At the same time the concept of a polis (city) and demos
(common people) and the idea of discussion of public choices and possible outcomes with collective
concern were born in the city state. Two of the most well known to us today are Athens and Sparta, but
there were many more. The mountainous terrain as well as a deeply entrenched sense of independence
probably allowed the system to remain more of a loose confederation than a central republic, like that
of Rome. The early Roman republic probably began around the year 509 BCE and lasted for more
than 450 years before the gradual decay of its republican institutions. The Senate, which concentrated
political leadership, had come in place by 300 BCE or so to represent the ruling class of patricians and
wealthier members of the plebs. The typical Roman citizen lived in the country and the bulk of the
Roman economy was based on agriculture and land ownership. But as the empire grew

Ethical Surrogates
Surrogacy occurs when another women carries a child for a couple, who for a particular reason are not
able to carry a biological child themselves (Kerridge, Lowe, Stewart, 2013, p. 493 494). The child
may be genetically linked to the surrogate or gustatory where there is no genetic link to the child
(Kerridge et al, 2013, p. 493 494). Infertile couples should be allowed to use surrogates in order to
have a child, although the laws and regulations need to be closely monitored and potential surrogates
need to be aware of the moral and ethical problems they may encounter throughout the process.
Surrogacy can be a magical and beautiful gift, yet there are many problems, which arise that, often

427). Surrogacy is often compared to child selling, although human life is not measurable in a
monetary figure (Steinbock, 1988, p. 427). The baby m case provides a greater insight into these 2
objections, which Steinbock further discusses. In the baby m case the surrogate was paid to be
impregnated and carry the child, this is where laws and regulations need to be strongly monitored, as
the contract never stated turnover of the child meaning the surrogate fulfilled her contractual
agreement if she did not provide the child to the parents (Steinbock, 1988, p. 427). The courts found
that the payment made to the surrogate to turn the child over was prohibited (Steinbock, 1988, p. 427).
The baby m case was a complicated and a good example of a surrogacy agreement, which went
wrong. This case shows that governments need to enforce stricter laws and regulations regarding
surrogacy to ensure there is no confusion and no child selling. Steinbock (1988) suggests that rather
than be paid for giving up the child that surrogates instead are paid for anything involving the
pregnancy such as medical expenses which will then allow the process to been seen a another form of
adoption as the child is not being purchased (p. 428). There are not many women who would endure
pregnancy with the ultimate outcome to be providing a family with

Privacy In Adonis Lloyd s Life
Lloyd was a man who appreciated privacy. It was one thing he had forever valued above all else. He
held his own privacy in such high esteem that the location and memories of his childhood home,
family and every event of his past were familiar to no one but he. This state of mind had not been
triggered by a tragic or traumatic event, nor by an unpleasant childhood, this was simply the way
Adonis elected to live his life. Even though a man like he, with such a fervent requisite for
confidentiality and secrecy, there had been a scarce few moments that the small number that he
deemed sacrosanct were allowed a glimpse into the lone soul that was Adonis Lloyd. The only known
few were those who had endured with him the hardships of war by his side. ... Show more content on

Adonis found small pleasure in the intricate details that allowed LA to be a city without being one at
the same time, it was just a flat and populated suburb. The powerful smell of the Californian ocean
was somewhat muffled by the thick stench of exhaust fumes that plumed from the cars that plagued
the roads like rats that plagued the streets. Scurrying amongst the rats were the fleas that attached
themselves to them and infected the city. Although completely repugnant to few, Adonis found humor
in the irony of the city, a city on the verge of greatness had the look and feel of one in medieval times.
War s effects on daily life had allowed the inhabitants of the once glorious city to run rampant and
completely prevented any moral authority to take control and extinguish the lustful fire of the

access to complementary therapies. The ones I will be explaining are: Physical Factors Socio
economic Factors Education Factors Cultural Factors Geographic Factors Many people will
experience many physical factors such as pain and mobility problems, some individuals may feel that
it s best to take orthodox medicines which are the best pain relief or option for them, this includes
treatments such as paracetamol and ibuprofen. However, some people might have side effects from

Individuals living in rural and suburb areas may have very few centres which offer complementary
therapies and might not know where their nearest one is. Culture can also affect access complementary
therapies as not all cultures may use or believe in some therapies. Some religions such as Muslim
believe that the only man that should touch a woman is her husband, therefore, they only want women
to treat them. How Complementary Therapies are regulated CNHC is the UK voluntary regulator for
complementary healthcare practitioners. CNHC stands for Complementary and Natural Healthcare
Council. This was set up with the Governments support to protect the public by providing s UK
voluntary register of complementary therapists. This regulator has been approved an Accredited
Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care which main aim is to
protect the public. Therefore, they have met the authority s demanding standards. All registered
practitioners are entitled to use CNHC s quality mark which is commitment to professionalism and
high standards. Also, the GMC (General Medical Council) confirms that GP s are able to refer patients
to practitioners. (What is the CNHC Register?, 2016) The GRCCT register was released on 6th June
2008. GRCCT stands for the General Regulatory Council for Complementary Therapies. With the

Comparing Virgin Of The Rocks And The Last Supper
Introduction
This paper will explore the detail expressed through religion based renaissance art. The two works to
be explored here are The Last Supper and the Virgin of the Rocks, which both have Christian
references and have properties owing to the depictions of the main character in the painting. The Last
Supper was created in 1498, in Milan and is on oil and plaster; Virgin of the Rocks was created circa
1483 1486 and is oil on panel.
Works to Explore
In Virgin of the Rocks, a woman is sitting, surrounded by what looks like three children. They seem to
all be paying attention to the child she is holding, who is John the Baptist. In The Last Supper, 13
people sit at a table having a large feast. They are all engrosses in various conversations, ... Show

Both of these pictures have but biblical characters into settings that are unusual for the time. May and
Jesus are usually depicted on thrones or in ambiguous settings. However, both of these paintings show
that there is a more human element to these people. In Virgin of the Rocks, Mary is sitting on the
ground in a place where there are jagged rocks and various types of shrubbery. It seems to even be a
deserted area that is secluded and over grown. The figures are all located in a fabulous and mystical
landscape with rivers that seem to lead nowhere and bizarre rock formations, in the foreground we see
carefully observed and precisely rendered plants and flowers (Syson and Billinge, p. 5).This type of
representation of Mary is referred to as the Madonna of Humility (Freke Gandy, p. 34). When it comes
to Virgin of the Rocks, the point of interest that reveals the paintings subject are the hands of the
people. Mary has her right arm around the infant Saint John the Baptist who is making a gesture of
prayer to the Christ child, the Christ child in turn blesses St. John. Mary s left hand hovers protectively
over the head of her son while an angel looks out and points to St. John (p.

Amyloid Cascade Hypothesis
The amyloid cascade hypothesis is the most widely accepted of the AD pathogenesis hypotheses. Its
principle is that the accumulation of Aβ plays a major role in AD pathogenesis, and the disease is
analyzed as a series of abnormalities in the process and secretion of the amyloid precursor protein
(APP), where an inequality between production and clearance of amyloid β is the triggering event and
the most important factor responsible for other abnormalities observed in AD (Hardy et al, 2002;
Cummings et al, 2007). Amyloid β is a peptide with high resistance to proteolytic degradation. It
consists of 37 43 amino acids with different isoforms (Deane et al, 2009). Aβ is the result of sequential
cleavage of the amyloid precursor protein (APP), generating ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Autosomal dominant mutations in APP, PSEN1, or PSEN2 that alter APP processing and the
production or self aggregation of Aβ, promote aggregation and accumulation of Aβ in brain causing
early onset AD (Bertram et al., 2010).
It has been found that the oligomeric forms of Aβ were more dangerous than its monomers, acting
intracellularly and extracellularly leading to the disruption of several downstream mechanisms, such
as the disruption of intracellular calcium homeostasis (Camandola and Mattson, 2011), and
impairments of axonal transport and mitochondrial functions (Decker et al., 2010; Querfurth and
LaFerla, 2010; Sheng and Cai, 2012). In addition, several lines of evidence suggest that Aβ regulates
neuronal and synaptic activities and that its accumulation in the brain causes aberrant network activity
and synaptic depression (Palop and Mucke, 2010). Impairments of inhibitory interneurons and
aberrant stimulation of glutamate receptors result in excitotoxicity, and play important upstream roles
in this pathogenic cascade. These impairments also lead to a positive feedback loop, where aberrant
neuronal activity augments Aβ production, which in turn leads to further neuronal damage (Palop and
Mucke, 2010; Bero et al., 2011; Verret et al.,

Galilei During The Scientific Revolution
Galileo Galilei was an Italian scientist who built on the new theories during the Scientific Revolution.
The Scientific Revolution was a period that historians describe as emergence of modern during the
mid 1500 s to about the end of the 1600 s. As a young man Galileo, learned of an object that could
make far away objects seem bigger. The object he is referring to the the telescope the Dutch lens make
built. Galileo built his own in 1609, used it to study space, the stars, and The Heavens . Was Galileo
more revolutionary than Nicolaus Copernicus, Tycho Brahe or any philosopher of that time period?
Yes, Galileo was more revolutionary than any of those philosophers because he found and did things
that wasn t accepted during that time period. What did he do? As briefly said before he improved the
telescope. As to popular belief, Galileo did not in fact invent the telescope actually. A Dutch lens
maker named Hans Lippershey invented the first one in 1608. He did this by creating a telescope that
had a concave eyepiece aligned with a convex objective lens. His telescope could only magnify three
time original object. Hans didn t have a use for his telescope, however others made their own and used
it for spying and sailing. In 1609 Galileo heard about this invention and decided to create his own. The
tool that Galileo used was a refracting telescope. His initial version of his telescope only magnified 8x
however it was soon refined to the 20x magnification. He accomplished

Analysis Of The Movie The Fuck Just Happened
It had been a blur. One second, she had been desperately fending off the timed and grueling blows of
the enraged champion, the next, Ava had been lost to the world, her head left reeling as she slowly
murmured to no one in particular What the fuck just happened? It was as if the entire world had
crumbled around her, and it had all happened so quickly. She had victory at her fingertips, as well as
Aida s untouched sex, and then she had lost it all. Now, all she could do was look upwards at the
bright lights which shone so brightly, exposing her weakness for the world to see. So this is what
losing feels like she thought rather naively.

them, nailed onto a poster, in support for the opponent. What was worse was that her panties had went
with the shorts, and from the brief glimpse upwards to the audience, the same person had collected
every bit of her outfit. She didn t know why, but she had a feeling that it would be appearing in her
next fight, and that bothered her to no end. Yet, all she could do, despite her rage and embarrassment,
was to silently take the abuse of Aida, hoping that her end would be quick and plotting for revenge.
That said, it was rather difficult to focus on planning her revenge when her backside was being
brutalized, with hard slaps raining down on the tender flesh, leaving behind red prints that marked her
as exactly what she was for the night; property. What was worse was the cheers that followed each
action, a constant reminder of the public nature of her humiliation, the eyes of the audience burning
holes in her nubile form, the overwhelming presence of Aida placating her, the soul crushing defeat
still enough to quiet down most of her resistance for the moment.
But then, a line was crossed. She felt a fistful of her brunette locks being forced upwards, her crimson
face now forced to stare at the wide eyes of the audience, her humiliation now easily evident on her
face. She knew just how embarrassed and defeated she looked, and this

or just a simple killing. For females there is a third option which is to get having sexual intercourse

characteristics as other gang such as: smuggling drugs, people, and weapons. The biggest difference
with MS 13 is the willingness to use brutality in all their activities (keysaferschools.com). All of the
MS 13 activities were kept low profile very well. Unlike many gang which us guns, knives, and ropes

The industrial revolution was a big change in history for the United States. It was a time in the 1700s
to the 1800s when there was a transition to the manufacturing processes. A lot of the hard hand work
was being replaced by machines, steam power was on the rise, water power was getting more
efficient, and chemical and iron manufacturing were growing quickly. Almost everyone s life was

this be a giant opportunity or a disaster? There can be a few different ways the industrial revolution

Chinese Essay Exam for Civil Service
The Chinese essay exams for civil service selections were known as the Imperial examinations, which
were instituted by Imperial Chinese to determine who among the population would be allowed to enter
the state s bureaucracy. The Imperial Examination System in China lasted from the founding during
the Sui Dynasty in 605 to its demise near the end of the Qing Dynasty in 1905. These examinations
lasted approximately 1300 years (Elman, 2002).
From the time of the Han Dynasty (206 BCE to 220 CE) until the implementation of the Imperial
Examination System, the majority of appointments were based on recommendations of prominent
aristocrats and local officials who would recommend individuals who were predominantly of
aristocratic rank. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the late Imperial China, the examination system and associated methods of recruitment to the
central bureaucracy were major mechanisms by which the central government captured and held the
loyalty of local level elites. Their loyalty, in turn, ensured the integration of the Chinese state, and
countered tendencies toward regional autonomy and the breakup of the centralized system. The
examination system distributed its prizes according to provincial and prefectural quotas, which meant
that imperial officials were recruited from the whole country, in numbers roughly proportional to each
province s population. Elite individuals all over China, even in the disadvantaged peripheral regions,
had a chance at succeeding in the examinations and achieving the rewards of holding office.
The examination system also served to maintain cultural unity and consensus on basic values. The
uniformity of the content of the examinations meant that the local elites and ambitious would be
members of those elites across the whole of China were taught with the same values. Even though
only a small fraction (about 5 percent) of those who attempted the examinations passed and received
titles. Those who failed to pass most of the candidates at any single examination did not lose wealth or
local social standing; as dedicated believers in Confucian orthodoxy, they served, without the benefit
of state appointments, as teachers and managers of local projects, such as

Analyzing The Movie The Magnificent Seven
A good majority of us have seen Old westerns before. We ve grown to love and know them so well.
They are relics of how life was in the old west and even more show what we think the old west should
be life. The revitalized western movie The Magnificent Seven is only a remake that shows you
everything you love about a western movie, it does not reinvent or add anything special to the genre.
Usually in a remake movie with up to date actors and even better special effects and editing skills you
would think that it makes the movie better. I ve come to realize now that the old movies we ve all
come to love cannot be made with the same magic a second time. They were for their time and you
lose something when you remake it. For this movie the only thing significantly better was the camera
resolution. Everything else seems to be the same. Especially the epic final battle or in a western movie
it s called the final shoot out. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But to the trained eye you start to notice that there isn t anything special about it. The director of the
film Antoine Fuqua basically just uses an old movie and remakes it with actors that we can connect
with because we ve seen them before. There is a scene in the movie where denzel s character Chisolm
shoots up a saloon and kills for a bounty. Chris Pratt makes his interjection and it s interesting to see
these two different actors act together in a space. The only thing interesting about the whole entire
movie is that they have actors from all genres of

  • 3. The Omo Site Of Ethiopia, Africa In this research paper we will be discussing the Omo site in Ethiopia, Africa. Some key points that will be discussed will be its original discovery in 1967, it s addition research that was completed in 2005, Omo I and II s updated age (McDougall et al., 2005), and the scientific importance of the discoveries from this site and what it means for idea of the first appearance of the modern human (Fleagle et al., 2008). In 1967 in the Lower Omo Valley near Kibish, Ethiopia along the Omo river, a team from the Kenya National Museums, led by Richard Leakey an anthropologist and conservationist, did an initial exploration which led to the discovery of several stone tools, hominin fossils, and various other skull fossils of mammals. In this expedition the team found parts of what would be known as Omo I and Omo II. The finds for Omo I comprised of the mandible, dentition, several parts of the cranium, and a considerable portion of the post cranial skeleton. Omo I s finds has been described as being a modern skeleton of Homo sapiens. Omo II comprised of an almost intact neurocranium, which has been described as primitive remains most closely resembling Homo erectus (Fleagle et al. 2008). At that time in 1967, researches faced a difficult time establishing an accurate age of these remains due in part to the confines of technology. The team at this time decided to use a rather controversial method that looked at radiometric dates on shells from a Nile oyster (Etheria elliptica) bank ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Ayurveda, provides detailed account of the cause , symptoms and treatment of disease on one hand, and detailed guidelines for the prevention of disease, to stay healthy, promote youthfulness and delay ageing on the other . It also emphasizes that each individual is different whether in a natural state of health or in an unnatural state of disease, But whether its state of health or disease the key remains the balance . The state of disease may warrant the intervention of an Ayurvedic physician but in the state of health or mild disorders, if we can keep mind, body, and environment in proper balance, health is restored, youthfulness is prolonged and aging happens without much deterioration and incapacitation. ... Otherwise there is a diminution of vision with time gradually. The simplest but very effective eye care routine you can follow is to irrigate your eyes with fresh and pure water while bathing. Fill your mouth with water and using the running tap water splash gently the open eyes with small amount of water in your palms. Do it repeatedly till the water in your mouth tends to loose its coolness. Release the water of your mouth and after a short break for few second repeat the process twice. This procedure as per Ayurveda cleanses the eyes, protects it from the onslaught of kapha and increases vision. Eye douching with Trifla water regularly is very effective to increase visual acuity (please refer to the chapter of management of common diseases through Ayurveda) As told earlier foot massage is very beneficial to increase the vision. Particular attention is to be given to massaging the big toes for extra benefit. • 7. International Exports Of Industrial Goods And Technology Introduction Today, more than 50 economies operate ECAs to support national exports of industrial goods and technology. A large portion of export credit transactions are related to large scale energy projects such as power plants, hydropower dams and pipeline infrastructures, that may take several years to develop and are often associated with countries with high political risk. ECAs provide financial supports to national exporters in forms of export insurance, risk guarantees and direct loans so exporters can accept deferred payments from buyers under condition of high uncertainty. Such financing instrument has gained its strategic importance as more economies view exports as a vital national objective and lead to increase in number of established ECAs and volumes of export credit transactions. During the 1990s, the annual volume of export credit provided by Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries averaged roughly $80 100 billion per annum (Maurer and Nakhood, 2003). Since then, volumes have grown, reaching a record of $514 billion in 2010 (Berne Union 2011). As ECAs gained presence in international financial market, its influence beyond their impact on international trade flows were acknowledged among stakeholders. One of notable concerns was impact on environment. Environmental groups have criticized ECAs for being involved in controversial large scale projects that have negative impacts on environment, such as large dams that submerge ... • 8. Reflection About Reading And Writing It was my second grade year, I was only 7 years old, when I first found my hatred of anything that had to do with reading or writing. Every week my teacher would give us a lengthy list of vocabulary words that we had to memorize before our spelling test the following week. I would study for periods at a time trying to memorize this gruesome lists of words, that I could never commemorate. When it came down to the day of the test I would see all my classmates at ease, while I would panic trying to remember what I studied. When it finally became time to take the test, I heard the teacher call the word island , but I couldn t concentrate. I was frustrated, I couldn t think, the teacher would ask is everyone ready to move on , but I wouldn t say anything, because I was too shy. After a couple of days I would get my score back, and wasn t surprised when I found out that I had failed the test. Weekley this was recurring theme when I got my spelling test returned. Eventually, I accepted the fact that reading and writing was not for me. Although my second grade experience was terrible, my third grade year gave me an experience that I never had with literacy. My teacher Mrs. Quinn, would give us a list of vocabulary words, but instead of us memorizing them, we would have to create a story using these words. This opened my eyes to a component of literacy that I never explored. I had total creative freedom, something that I wasn t familiar with. The first set of words, was over ... Three phase induction motor of wound rotor type is commonly used in adjustable speed drives. According to the type of winding on rotor, there are two common types of induction machines namely, squirrel cage induction motor and wound rotor induction motor. Squirrel cage induction motors are mostly used in industrial drives which have cylindrical rotor with short circuited rotor windings with the voltage supplied to stator windings. The rotor does not have a brushes and commutator but consists of conducting bars that are placed into the rotor slots. These bars are short circuited by the shorting rings. Whereas wound rotor induction motors have wye connected rotor windings. In addition to the voltage that is applied to the stator windings, the phase voltages can be supplied to the rotor winding using brushes and slip rings. However, wound rotor induction motors have not been widely used because their efficiency and maximum angular velocity are lower compared to squirrel cage. On the other hand, squirrel cage motors have been tremendously used in high performance electric drives and electromechanical systems. Therefore, in this thesis, only three phase squirrel cage induction motor drive is taken and performance analysis has been done using ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Power Of The American Dream In The Great Gatsby The Power of the American Dream The American Dream is the belief that anyone can be successful if they just work hard enough. It is about pursuing happiness through independence and integrity. Many individuals rely on the American Dream to give them a meaningful life, when in actuality it destroys one s happiness. In reality, those who give no significance to the American Dream are the ones who are actually satisfied with their lives. Fitzgerald s novel, The Great Gatsby, shows that finding purpose in one s life does not revolve around the American Dream. As a matter of fact, individuals are most content without trying to achieve that utmost success. The American Dream is a false prospect that people attempt to achieve, and as a result, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Myrtle believed that in order to be content, she required prosperity and the American Dream. In reality, the American Dream diminishes one s power to have a meaningful life. The main way in which Myrtle tried to achieve wealth, was by having an affair with Tom Buchanan. Tom was a successful, wealthy individual who Myrtle used to gain more wealth. She used his affluence for herself, and ended up losing the American Dream. Myrtle s greed for luxury made her have an affair with Tom, and Mr. Wilson eventually found out. Once Mr. Wilson realized Myrtle s motives, he tried to achieve more money for her. His actions ultimately led to Myrtle s own death. Myrtle lost her American Dream as quickly as it came in. She was driven to achieve more wealth, and she even died trying. Basically, her own attempt to become prosperous was what eventually decreased her power to become happy. From the start, Myrtle was deprived of money and she was unhappy. She actually remained distressed because of her chase of the American Dream. Myrtle died because she continued to blame Wilson for her lack of wealth. This is revealed when she says, Beat me...Throw me down and beat me, you dirty little coward! (pg. 145). Therefore, this proves that another way in which Myrtle tried to gain more money, was by blaming Mr. Wilson. She pointed all of her problems in Mr. Wilson s direction, and eventually died by doing so. Mr. Wilson chased Myrtle out of the house, because he was so upset with how disappointed Myrtle was with him. This shows that Myrtle tried to accumulate more wealth by involving Mr. Wilson. The outcome was that she lost control and the American Dream all together. Instead of life just becoming more distressed, Myrtle actually died as a result. Another way in which Myrtle tried to acquire the American Dream, was through the way she dressed herself. In the book, Myrtle tried to show that she ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and Parenting Boisterous , energetic , and spontaneous were once adjectives used to describe the behaviour of normal, healthy children [CITE]. These days, similar behaviours might be labeled problematic , hyperactive , and uncontrollable , often resulting in the diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and the prescription of a psychostimulant drug [CITE]. According to the DMS V, ADHD is described as a combination of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). Due to the nature of the symptoms, ADHD can significantly hinder a child s ability to succeed in a school setting, both academically and socially, which could have dire implications for their future [CITE]. With almost 11% of children in the United States currently diagnosed with the disorder, ADHD has been labeled an epidemic and this has lead to a significant increase in the amount of research devoted to determining its cause and treatment [CITE]. The increased attention has also attracted a great deal of controversy, with medical experts questioning the safety of administering psychostimulant drugs to children. Although the evidence is often contradictory, due to an increase in the documentation of the adverse side effects in children caused by psychostimulant medication [CITE] as well as an increase in the evidence of nonpharmacological treatments successfully reducing the symptoms of ADHD, many parents have become reluctant in allowing their children to ... An ERD is often used as a way to visualize a relational database: each entity represents a database table, and the relationship lines represent the keys in one table that point to specific records in related tables. One can think of the circle as a zero, or a letter O for optional. A stroke ( | ) indicates that the relationship is mandatory the minimum number of relationships between each instance of the first entity and instances of the related entity is one. This is reflected in key stage 2 when it states that children should be taught that exercise can be fun and sociable. Most importantly Greek commercial expansion through new trade markets around the Mediterranean with the non Greek world made it possible for more men to purchase land and power. The baby m case provides a greater insight into these 2 objections, which Steinbock further discusses. In the baby m case the surrogate was paid to be impregnated and carry the child, this is where laws and regulations need to be strongly monitored, as the contract never stated turnover of the child meaning the surrogate fulfilled her contractual agreement if she did not provide the child to the parents (Steinbock, 1988, p. 427). The courts found that the payment made to the surrogate to turn the child over was prohibited (Steinbock, 1988, p. 427). The baby m case was a complicated and a good example of a surrogacy agreement, which went wrong. This case shows that governments need to enforce stricter laws and regulations regarding surrogacy to ensure there is no confusion and no child selling. Steinbock (1988) suggests that rather than be paid for giving up the child that surrogates instead are paid for anything involving the pregnancy such as medical expenses which will then allow the process to been seen a another form of adoption as the child is not being purchased (p. 428). • 30. Amyloid Cascade Hypothesis The amyloid cascade hypothesis is the most widely accepted of the AD pathogenesis hypotheses. Its principle is that the accumulation of Aβ plays a major role in AD pathogenesis, and the disease is analyzed as a series of abnormalities in the process and secretion of the amyloid precursor protein (APP), where an inequality between production and clearance of amyloid β is the triggering event and the most important factor responsible for other abnormalities observed in AD (Hardy et al, 2002; Cummings et al, 2007). Autosomal dominant mutations in APP, PSEN1, or PSEN2 that alter APP processing and the production or self aggregation of Aβ, promote aggregation and accumulation of Aβ in brain causing early onset AD (Bertram et al., 2010). It has been found that the oligomeric forms of Aβ were more dangerous than its monomers, acting intracellularly and extracellularly leading to the disruption of several downstream mechanisms, such as the disruption of intracellular calcium homeostasis (Camandola and Mattson, 2011), and impairments of axonal transport and mitochondrial functions (Decker et al., 2010; Querfurth and LaFerla, 2010; Sheng and Cai, 2012). In addition, several lines of evidence suggest that Aβ regulates neuronal and synaptic activities and that its accumulation in the brain causes aberrant network activity and synaptic depression (Palop and Mucke, 2010). Impairments of inhibitory interneurons and aberrant stimulation of glutamate receptors result in excitotoxicity, and play important upstream roles in this pathogenic cascade. These impairments also lead to a positive feedback loop, where aberrant neuronal activity augments Aβ production, which in turn leads to further neuronal damage (Palop and Mucke, 2010; Bero et al., 2011; Verret et al., ... Yes, Galileo was more revolutionary than any of those philosophers because he found and did things that wasn t accepted during that time period. What did he do? As briefly said before he improved the telescope. As to popular belief, Galileo did not in fact invent the telescope actually. A Dutch lens maker named Hans Lippershey invented the first one in 1608. He did this by creating a telescope that had a concave eyepiece aligned with a convex objective lens. His telescope could only magnify three time original object. Hans didn t have a use for his telescope, however others made their own and used it for spying and sailing. In 1609 Galileo heard about this invention and decided to create his own.
