2. Feasibility Report On Ipo s, And The Process Of Buying An Ipo
I compile, through various mediums, information regarding initial public offerings, or IPO s.
The report includes areas such as defining an IPO, the performance of IPO s, the current market
for IPO s, and the process of buying an IPO. Therefore, the feasibility report is directed at the
retail or non professional investor who may be engaged in purchasing IPO s. I look to determine if
the underlying facts create certainty that these instruments are profitable currently and in the long
run. It appears through study that investors have increased their consumption of initial public
offerings since the 2007 2008 financial crisis. Many investors believe purchasing IPO s can create
quick realized gains. However, it appears that the performance of these issues has lagged the
broader market, which in my opinion should steal zeal from these risky investments. The figures
throughout this report should indicate and reaffirm that not all IPOs, whether popular or unpopular,
will benefit the professional or non professional investor. It must be noted that not everything is the
same in financial markets and results may vary significantly from this report in a single incident or
sample study. INTRO Over time, financial markets have become more complex and possibly more
confusing for the average or retail investor. It appears through recent observation that non
professional investors do not understand the process, importance of, and potential harm that IPO s
may cause to a portfolio in the

4. The Aggression Scale Movie
Aggression scale is a film about trauma. Specifically, coping with trauma by using anger. An
unjust event shattered Owen and Lauren s lives. Mobsters are coming to reclaim money stolen by
their father and kill the family for the father s sins. When the mobsters arrive Lauren in the shower
and Owen is already scheming a plan of attack. What the mobsters do not know is that Owen has a
diagnosed behavioral problem. Aggression.
The trauma we act out is guided our place in ideological systems. Gender interprets our trauma in
terms of weakness and power. Masculinity teaches trains boys that manliness is defined by
toleration of pain. A boy proves manhood by taking more pain then the next guy. But if a boy
flinch s or is swayed by tragedy his very genitalia is called into question. A girl, on the other hand,
is expected to show weakness and avoid showing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What does set him apart from traditional slashers is his enjoyment of violence. While the film
justifies Owen s violence as vengeance against home invaders and attacks by bullies this does not
tell the whole story.
Lauren, Owen s stepsister, on the other hand, reacts to trauma differently. The only clue we are
given about her history is the scars on her wrists. Some unknown event has rattled its way into her
brain. In all likelihood, she was the victim of someone s whims or dealt a bad hand of genetics.
Whatever is the cause of Laurens tragedy, she directs her aggression inwards. Internalizing the
aggressor and re victimizing herself.
The scene about midway through the film where Lauren respectively stabs one of the mobsters is
telling. Unlike Owen who is calm and numbly collected when he traps and hunts the mobsters,
Lauren screams while she repetitively stabs the mobster. From her depths, something larger than the
violence is bellowing. The opposite of relief. Lauren is crossing a line from victim to something

5. Ethics Case Study Paper
Is pleasing the customers, and telling them what they might want to hear, more important than
being honest with them? When clients ask the company for reports, their main interest should be to
get a thorough and comprehensive analysis. If they were only looking for a confirmation of what
they wanted to hear, they should not need the research.
This case study review will show that ethics and honesty are more important than pleasing the
customer. When Greg was given revised numbers, and was asked to rewrite the report to match the
changes, he was put in a difficult situation. He just recently joined the organization, and is likely
still getting a feel for the company culture. What are the values and shared goals? His supervisor,

Elizabeth is likely struggling from two perspectives. She has to follow directives of the
company owners, in this case Mr. Collins, although she might not agree with the decision. At the
same time she is the one that has to explain the change to the analysts. Kouzes and Posner (2012)
found that Before you can be a leader of others, you need to know clearly who you are and what
your core values are. Once you know that, then you can give those values a voice and feel
comfortable sharing them with others (p. 17). Elizabeth s behavior is not ethical, but she is in a
similar position as Greg. Obey the orders, get the analysts to change the report, and have the outside
computer firm revise their printouts, or risk getting written up or terminated.
I would be surprised if this was the first time such a redo of a report was ordered by the owners.
This has an overall negative influence on the company culture and values being communicated. If
employees feel that unethical actions are being performed, it taints all messages being

6. Ender Wiggin Movie Analysis
On average, babies cry a total of two to three hours a day, according to mayoclinic.org.
Ender Wiggin exceeds that amount greatly. Throughout the book Ender cries many times, but in
the end, he will man up and overcome his fears, but still end up crying. Ender Wiggin was the best
out of his two other siblings, both of them failed to pass into the International Fleet, but for Ender
he passed. Training hard in battle school, resulted in defeating the Buggers. Ultimately, he still
ended up crying. Obviously the book is extremely better than the movie because of one main
reason, the movie left out key components that juiced up the story, that allowed the viewer/reader to
get hooked into the story. That is why the book is better than the movie.

There are two significant differences involved between the book and the movie that weakened the
film. One being how in the video it did not show how Ender struggled with battle school, and how
he got through it through hard work and many challenges throughout it all. In the movie, it
jumped past many struggles Ender had undergone while working his way up the standings. It
seemed he was more gifted in the movie than in the book where it took doubling up practice to
get better. The second major difference shown in the movie was not showing what was going on
back at Earth with Valentine and Peter. It never showed or referred to Ender s siblings at all after
the beginning of the movie. It did not even say anything about Peter, and how he has taken over the
Earth. as well the letter that Peter has sent Ender. This weakens the movie because that is the main
reason why Ender cannot return home, because that is where Peter

People who watched crime based television shows understand that DNA evidence is not always
noticeable at first glance. In fact, in some cases, it can be impossible to detect visually. Take
semen, for example. In large amounts, seminal fluid is easy to detect. It leaves a noticeable crusty
stain on most fabric. However, if that fabric is washed then the stain is gone. Presumably, the
evidence is washed away. This is not the case necessarily. There are several methods forensic
scientists use to find traces of semento identify a male s identity. The Acid Phosphatase Color Test
is widely regarded as the most effective way to both locate and characterize a seminal stain.
Acid Phosphatase is an enzyme found in seminal fluid. It comes from the prostate gland (Johnson
2009). Typically, the more Prostatic Acid Phosphatase found in a sample of semen is a sign of
prostate cancer. This is important because the Acid Phosphatase Color Test was once used to
determine of a male had prostate cancer. It was later replaced by Prostate Specific Antigen, aka
PSA. Forensic scientists still use this test to identify semen, however. In 1938, Gutman and Gutman
reported increased levels of acid phosphatase in patients with metastatic prostate cancer (Taira,

The Golden Age of Greece The golden age of Greece, especially the Periclean age of Athens, was
considered to be the defining age of Greek history. The amount of cultural and intellectual
innovation in Greece was at its height during the nearly 200 year period. From 500 300 BC, many
great thinkers and philosophers rose and gave many a new perspective on life.
As Matt Barrett explained, many philosopers, such as Socrates, dwelled in Athens, along with his
then pupil, Plato. Socrates was one of the first of the philosophers to believe that life was not for
collecting material possesions, or riches, but that it was for knowing oneself and the world around
oneself. Socrates was later executed and forced to drink Hemlock for corrupting the youth of the

Greek Philosophers by Claire Monaco
Bible in the Ancient World and English I
Spring 2015
Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle s early lives affected their careers and Greek society, and their deaths
and works of literature affected today s society. Socrates started out as a stone mason who
eventually devoted most of his time to philosophy. Socrates works of literature reflect his world
views and opinions. These opinions had a fatal consequence; he was persecuted for corrupting the
youth of Athens. Socrates was Plato s teacher and instructor. Plato used his works of literature to
show his viewpoints. In his book, The Republic, he covered a wide range of topics that included
social, educational, psychological, moral and philosophical ideas. In this book and The Apology,
Plato criticized Athen s democracy for the persecution of his friend and teacher, Socrates. Plato
then became the instructor of Aristotle. Through Aristotle s life in Thrace, and his intense
schooling at the Academy, he was equipped with all of the knowledge that he needed to become
the wise philosopher he is known as today. Aristotle discussed some of his opinions through his
book, Politics. This book mainly focused on his views of the government and society. His
schooling allowed him to advance in all subjects and discover new ideas. All three of these
philosophers not only had a lasting effect on Greek philosophy, but their ideas have also had a

While there are many stakeholders who care about the financial situation of associated companies,
like suppliers, customers, or creditors, the main addressees of business valuation are strategic
investors who want to buy a significant stake in a company, as well as companies in the same
industry that consider merging with another firm in order to push forward vertical or horizontal
integration.1 And as a matter of fact, business valuation is by far not an easy task. There are
hundreds of possible factors adding to the equation when it comes to determining the value of a
business.2 Actually, just knowing the current value3 of an entire corporation, a factory or a certain
department within an existing enterprise, usually does for itself not help much. Rather it is actually
very uncommon that the current value of a business equals the price that s paid by investors.4 The
purchase price for a company is largely dependent on influences like the economic environment in
general (boom or crisis), the demand for one single enterprise or its products5, the situation of the
current shareholders6 etc. Other factors which can result in a difference between the value of a
company and the price paid are for example the qualification of the existing management, the extent
to which the company is seen

26. The View Of The Afterlife Essay
Classical World Influences
Introduction
The aim of my report is to explain how the view of the afterlife in Ancient Greece has shaped works
of art, books and the mentality of people. In order to do this I am going to explore how ancient
Greek people saw the underworld as well as Roman people and the Renaissance period. Because
Greeks saw the underworld as a dark, dreadful and gloomy place, many of the works that refer to
it, either in Roman times or the Renaissance, are influenced by this view. In particular works like
the Odyssey by Homer or The Phaedo by Plato, explained to a certain level the structure of the
afterlife in ancient Greece. These two pieces of literature severely influenced works like the
book VI of the Aeneid by Virgil where he depicts the underworld referencing to the Greek point
of view. But a deeper description of the underworld is given by Dante in his Divine Comedy
where he uses Virgil as his guide, from the depths of hellto the Purgatory while Beatrice, Dante s
ideal woman, guides him through heaven. All these time periods shared the idea of the underworld
as being a place where souls pay the sins they committed during their lives.
Afterlife in Ancient Greece
The afterlife in ancient Greece was Known as Hades. It was a grey world ruled by Hades, the
Lord of the Dead. If they had a virtuous life they could enjoy the sunny pleasures of the Elysium
or paradise, if they had a wicked life, then they fell into the dark pits of Tartarus, while if they

for her six major novels which interpret, critique and comment upon the British landed gentry at the
end of the 18th century. Austen s plots often explore the dependence of women on marriage in the
pursuit of favourable social standing and economic security. In particular, Austen s novel Emma,
published in 1815, displays these aspects of of traditional English life in that period, however the
classic piece is still enjoyed by many all over the world today. Emma has seen many on screen

Personality clearly and observing its various traits can be beneficial in deciding a professional
career. However personality should not be the only element considered when selecting a career
path. The individual should have a thorough view of his/her interests, principles, capabilities and
skills along with personality type. These all things when measured collectively, serve as a good
source of indicator for career selection. The Myers Brigg Type Indicator (MBTI) is a well known
approach used by many career guidance professionals, in guiding people regarding their career
selection. The MBTI is based on Carl Jung s psychological theory according to which each
individual can be classified into types on their fondness. According to Jung s theory there are four
pairs of contrary preference that indicate personality type. There are people with energizing ability
which are categorized as Extroversion versus Introversion, second category individuals who

Acute pain В· Extreme pain is due to the hypoxic environment that results from the occlusion of
capillary beds within tissues by sickled RBCs. This sickling is due to the polymerization of HbS in
low oxygen environments occluding tissues and causing local hypoxic environments. Inflammation
is indicated as the trigger for this process in many cases. Experimental studies in transgenic HbS
homozygote mice using hypoxia and inflammatory drugs showed occlusion of the postcapillary

addition, precapillary obstruction is observed in sickled RBCs with especially high [HbS] and

The 1960s Hippie movement was a major point in the American history. In the 1960s a certain
class of young people associated their lifestyles with the ideas of freedom, peace, and love.
Hippies acted against white upper middle class lifestyle because they thought it was based on
the wrong ideology. Hippies were against consumerism and American suburban life of the late
1950s and early 1960s was embodied in itself the idea of consumerism. Hippies, on the other
hand, felt better about communal life with equal distribution of social goods. Traditional bigger

middle class suburban America with its traditional values and financial prosperity of baby boom
generation was ideologically unfit for the energetic American youth. Seeing half of the world

prosperity and technological progress with half of the world being deprived of basic human needs.

The main aim of treatment of GDM patient is to ensure the blood glucose level of a GDM pregnant

the management of GDM involves lifestyle modification and medical nutrition therapy. Based on
the trigger, the patient is overweight. Thus, she needs nutritional counseling from a registered

Laredo contains 40% of the United States land ship import traffic. Also, any traveler on the I 35
corridor in Texas runs into hundreds of eighteen wheelers, increasing drivers awareness and
causing disarray for drivers who are trying to see the road in front of them. Perry s answer is to
shift the traffic away from metropolitan areas. If truck drivers can bypass San Antonio, Austin,
and Dallas, the time to their destination would probably save them an entire day in travel. Freight
rail services could veer away from San Antonio s railroad yard, an institution bustling with activity
in the wee hours of the morning. Also, commuter rail can solve environmental problems and help
families keep in touch anywhere in the state without the over burdening costs of driving (Perry).
Perry s plan begins with the setup itself: Six, twelve foot vehicle passenger lanes in which the

40. Notes On Retrieval Induced Forgetting
Experiment 6
Retrieval induced forgetting

Department of Applied Psychology and Counseling Centre
Abstract
Using the retrieval practice paradigm (Anderson, R. A. Bjork, E. L. Bjork, 1994), it was tested
whether or not retrieval induced forgetting could be found in item recognition test in terms of RT
and accuracy. In this experiment retrieval practice on items from semantic categories depressed
recognition of non practiced items from the same categories reflected in terms of RT and
accuracy. Also the results are consistent with the hypothesis that the accuracy in recognition of rp+
(Practiced items from practice categories) items will be highest followed by nrp (Unpracticed
items for the unpracticed categories) items and lowest for rp (Unpracticed items from the practiced
categories) items. The reaction time in recognition task will be lowest for rp+ item followed by nrp
items and highest for rp items.
Introduction
Memory is power in which the mind stores and remembers information. Memory is a process in
which information is encoded stored and retrieved for later usage. Forgetting is an apparent loss
of information already encoded and stored in an individual s memory. It is a spontaneous process
wherein old memories are unable to be recalled from memory storage. Active forgetting can be
stated as an evidence for functional inhibition as a source of one s memory failure. (Anderson,
1994). There

41. Legitimacy Of Anime
Legitimacy of Anime Although Japanese cartoons, known as anime, are not live action films, they
are a legitimate form of art, specifically film. Anime films contain themes relevant to societal
issues, which is depicted in compelling, riveting ways not obtainable through live action films,
which touches the audience. The film Graves of the Fireflies, directed by Isao Takahata in 1988, is
a prime example of an animefilm that provokes thought and compels emotion. Graves of the
Fireflies is an animated adaption of a semi autobiographical short story by the same name,
written by Akiyuki Nosaka in 1967. The movie is set in Kobe, Japan during the latter stages of
World War II and follows a brother and sister as the struggle to survive trying to scavenge. The
opening scene takes place a month after Japan surrendered to the United States in World War II.
The protagonist, Seita, a teenage son of a naval officer, is dying of malnourishment in a subway
concourse as people walk by him and look down on him for being homeless and raggedy. Early in
the film we can see the lack of sympathy from bystanders. The protagonist dies that night and in
spirit reunites with his sister, Setsuko, as the scene ends fireflies surround the siblings. The
following scene depicts American bombers headed to hit a target, the target happens to be Seita s
hometown of Kobe Japan. Seita is in charge of securing the house and taking his sister with him to
the bomb shelter, for his mother suffers from a heart

42. Genetically Modified Organism ( Gmo )
According to Brock Biology of Microorganisms, a genetically modified organism (GMO) is an
organism whose genome have been altered using genetic engineering (Madigan, Martinko, Bender,
Buckley, and Stahl, 2014). GM products include crops and animals, such as soy, cottonseed, alfalfa,
papaya, canola, and sugar beets. Throughout the years there has been arguments about the safety of
consuming GM products. Some countries believe that GMOs are not safe to consume while other
countries believe that they are safe to consume. More than 60 countries around the world, including
Australia, Japan, and all of the countries in the European Union, have restriction or bans the
production and sale of GM products. However, in the U.S. GM products have been... Show more

The nine high risk GM products are alfalfa, canola, corn, cotton, papaya, soy, sugar beets,
zucchini, and yellow summer squash. On the other hand, there is monitored risk of production,
which means that there is a suspected or known contamination of GMOs being added to the
crops. The eight monitored risk crops are beta vulgaris (chard, table beets), brassica napa
(rutabaga, Siberian kale), brassica rapa (bok choy, mizuna, Chinese cabbage, turnip, rapini, tatsoi),
cucurbita (acorn squash, delicata squash, patty pan), flax, rice, wheat, potatoes. Nonetheless, crops
aren t the only organisms that have GMOs. GMOs are also being added into animals, however,
these modifications were unsuccessful and terminated. The first example was GMOs being added
to salmon. On November 19, 2015 the FDA had approved to genetically modify AquAdvantage
salmon. The salmon was safe for human consumption, but two months after the approval the FDA
banned the production of the fish due to the Congress forbidding the sale of GM salmon. Another
example of GMOs being added are to pigs. Enviropig was a genetically engineered pig that was
developed by scientists at the University of Guelph. In 2009, the government approved the
production of the pigs, however, in 2012 the University announced the termination of the Enviropig
program, therefore euthanizing the pigs that had already been

43. Reald vs Imax Financial Accounting Analysis
Accounting Analysis| RealD Inc vs. IMAX Corp.| | EXECUTIVE SUMMARY RealD Inc is a
leading global licensor of 3D technologies while IMAX Corp specializes motion picture
technologies and presentations. While the two markets may seem mutually exclusive, they are not,
and with indications of both parties having intentions to foray into broader market segments, the
competition between both parties could not be more intense than it is now. Even though it may
seem that IMAX is performing better, a deeper look into the financial statements of both
companies shows that each company has its own strengths and weaknesses. It is also reassuring to
see that RealD is improving upon its financial position while IMAX seems to be... Show more

The company s Return on Assets is worrisome as it shows that it loses money on the assets that it
has invested in. This number may be amplified by the 741% rise in inventory, but there is still a
strong indication that RealD is not using its assets well enough to generate profit. It appears that
IMAX is managing its assets well. This income may however be generated by using the money
that it has raised by borrowing funds. A comparison of both the company s ROE values indicates
that IMAX generated more wealth for its stakeholders. This value however fails to consider the
impact that IMAX s debt may have on its profitability. 2) IMAX s Financial Position Compared
to RealD. IMAX s higher current ratio would indicate that it is in a better position to meet its
short term liabilities than RealD, with RealD being at the shallow end of the liquidity pool. It is
however important to note that RealD has improved its position drastically from a current ratio
of 0.7 to that of 1.09. This is mostly due to a 183% increase in the number of RealD screens
installed. If this trend continues, the company s position is likely to improve. It must also be
noted that IMAX s current ratio decreased from 4.33 to 0.99. This is due to a 214% increase in
bank indebtedness. It is of concern to see that RealD has only 59 cents in cash for every dollar of
its current liabilities. This is not the best position when compared to IMAX s position of 99cents for

44. Strategies Used by American Security
American Security
After the September, 11th terrorists attack, the United States government 9/11 commission
recommended that biometric entry exit screening system was ideal for travelers who were leaving
and entering the United States. They reiterated that this was essential for national security. Border
screening systems were to be consolidated with United States Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator
Technology (Haddal, 2010). This was supposed to streamline border inspections. Legislations were
instituted that were geared towards enhancing airline security, visa border security, and maritime
security.
The Aviation and Security Act of November 2001, the PATRIOTIC Act, and Border Security and
Visa Entry Reform Act of May 2002 were geared towards enhancing homeland security (Haddal,
2010). The Homeland Security Act of 2002 merged border and interior enforcement functions of
Department of Agriculture, the INS, and the U.S. Customs service to form Directorate of Border
and Transportation Security within the Department of Homeland Security (Haddal, 2010). Free
sharing of information and resources was made possible between USBP and CBP. The land, rail,
and transportation network became secure save for Transport Security Administration.
Alternative strategies that can be used to enhance border security can be effective collection, use,
and sharing of intelligence by exploiting networked intelligence. This should be done by sharing
both biographic and biometric information

46. The Man Who Killed By Barbara Ehrenreich Essay
Barbara Ehrenreich goes on a venture as a minimum wage employer. During that time, she soon
realizes that it is difficult to remain stable in all courses of living with the amount of money she
makes. Throughout this experiment she is fully aware that losing her job would not affect her
in any way, which gives her the fortune of being able to influence others to speak up and claim
for what they deserve. There were hours of draining work to maintain a room over her head, a
meal to eat, and health care to fulfill her needs. Above all, at the end of the day, if Ehrenreich
would find herself having to live in her car or come to the trail of hunger, she had the advantage
of quitting this lifestyle or being able to cheat her way out of it. However, in her journey she did
endure the majority of the stress that came with these low wageprofessions which made her
successful with some part of her experiment. Ehrenreich elaborates on the fact that... Show more

48. My Wrestling Experience
Wrestling has been a huge aspect and a great experience of my high school career. Wrestling has
taught me a lot over the past three years from hard work all the way to ethics. But the most
important thing has taught me morph my failure into success. That with hard work anything may
be achieved. My freshman year I was really overweight and could not keep up with any of the
intense exercises we would do. I did not win a single match all year and basically did not improve
all year. The worst part is that some of my wrestlingpeers told me to just quit. That I would never
improve and not do well at the sport.I seriously contemplated every day during wrestling season
and after if I wanted to continue the sport. I would constantly hear my peers you... Show more

But those remarks are what motivated me to improve. I did have good friends who actually
believed in me and told me to not quit it will pay off. Sophomore year comes around and we start
to practice in the room. I had improved a bit because I had gone to the summer practices. They
had given mi endurance so that I could keep up with the intensive exercises. It felt amazing to be
able to keep up with everything. First tournament comes around and I am pumped because I had
put in all the work and pushed myself everyday. First day I lose both of my matches and puts me
into the loser s bracket. The next day I lose 3 straight matches. I had become really frustrated
because I was giving it my all and I still couldn t win a single match. My final match comes up
and I win it. I had this surge of joy jumping inside of me but on the outside I still had my
wrestling face on. My coach taught me to always get up and shake your opponent s hand even if
you lose. I had that down. But he also taught me that when you win you act as if you had done it
a thousand times. I headed back to the stands and my whole team was congratulating me. That
was an amazing feeling, finally being able to celebrate a win. My friends were right after all. I
am currently in my fourth year in wrestling and I have improved drastically. All the failure I had
experienced as a beginner, taught me a life lesson. That failure is a vital step to success. Without

High costs of college tuition has been a rising concern for many future and former college
students. There are college graduates who are concerned after graduation if they made the right
choice paying for a college degree. There are also future students who are not as tempted to attend
college because of how expensive it is. While there are certain majors that pay well, many of the
majors in collegedo not pay remotely enough considering what it costs to obtain the degree it takes
to do the job. This debtis harder to pay off for this very reason which creates difficulty for graduates
to move on in life. To make this situation better for future college graduates, tuition needs to be

They then will be able to work towards paying off the debt that is hurting the student s way of
living. In an article from Ohio State University, research was done to show that 64 percent of
college students used loans to help pay for college, which is similar to what other studies have
found . The main causes for this would be that students need to be able to have the jobs that they
majored in help pay towards their debt. In the article The Unspoken Cause of the Student Loan
Crisis Walia explains that if students are not majoring in the jobs that allow students to begin
working immediately and start to pay off the loan, it is going to be hard for students to get out
of the debt and work towards buying a home, car, and paying for other living things that students
need. If the students major does not provide a good way of making money, it will be harder to
repay the loan. In the article Walia states that Engineers are very likely to be hired right out of
college, to command premium salaries and to see their incomes increase steadily through their
careers. Someone majoring in fine arts is not nearly as good a credit risk.
