When it came to envisioning my advanced block placement, I knew I wanted
something different, something to transform the way I practiced social work for the

Family nursing is still seen as a fairly new specialty area in nursing. There has been
discussion to define what family nursing is and what role family and nursing play in
this matter. The consensus is that all definitions have as core concepts the notion of
providing nursing care to families and family members (Braun amp; Foster, 2011).
Nurses have realized what an important role that families can play in promoting
positive health outcomes by getting them involved in patient care. With that said

Florence Nightingale discussed in her notes on nursing several issues that involved
the family. She knows of their importance in getting the family involved in caring
for the sick. She mentioned in her notes, tips on caring for the ill and it also
involved the family. Her theory may have been basic and discussed environmental
issues which could be considered a weakness but it also discussed some strengths
which were the importance of family involvement and its relevance to healing
themselves. The families of people with a severe mental illness often carry a heavy
burden. Research has shown that they feel that they are to blame for the disease; they
experience sadness, worry, shame and guilt. The lack of participation reinforces the

Analysis Of The Great Dictator Charlie Chaplin
The Great Dictator written and directed by Charlie Chaplin is a film that circles
around two characters, which are both played by Chaplin. The movie begins in a
time and place similar to one where Hitler had risen to power, and started his
annihilation of the Jews. Chaplin plays both the amnesiac Jewish barber and Hynkel
(Hitler), the dictator of Tomainia. Hynkel though a powerful and ruthless dictator is
often shown to be comically dwarfed both in height and intelligence. His right hand
commander, or trash guy, seems to be the one behind some of his plans. He
compliments Hynkel with words of praise then proceeds to hint at ways to destroy
the Jews, and take over the neighboring states. But as the film progresses, we see how
Chaplin portrays Hynkel as being utterly ridiculous; the man cannot seem to do
anything without growing angry at his own incompetence.
Movies like this, and a similar film, Inglorious Bastards , portray Hitler as a man
who in the face of death or immediate anger will quiver and blubber nonsense or the
next second muster enough anger to rant as loud as possible (ex: Cheese and
Crackers!) I think Chaplin did good capturing the Fuhrer s mannerisms in such an
ironic way. Some of his mannerisms include the feeble, affected hand salute;
Inclination for striking ludicrous attitudes; The fabulous fits of rage and violent facial
contortions.
There were many themes I noticed in the film, and one of the most prevalent themes
was the use of satire. The use of humor and exaggeration provided a constant comic
relief from the actual reality of what was going on during this time. Although he did
state at one point that he was unaware, or not fully aware of Adolf s actions and

The Anacostia river, a sanctuary for hundreds of plants and animals. One evening
when I was cruising down this very river, I spotted a Bald Eagle. The first one I
have ever seen in the wild. I was captivated by its grace, only to remember that it is
an endangered animal. The problem that the Bald eagle has, as well as many of the
others who live off the river is the river itself. The river is murky, and is contaminated
with toxins from fertilizers, pesticides and other harmful substances. There is also
unwanted ubiquitous pollutants that animals are sure to mistake for food, and the
wetlands that surround the river were also damaged. Restoring the Anacostia River is

every facet and corner of the country s life. It appears almost impossible for South
Africans of any color ever to get away, or to remove themselves, from this issue,
although obviously the reality of race relations does not bear on all groups equally
or in exactly the same manner. Sadly, these same issues are a problem within the
United States as well. Although there are currently no peer reviewed articles
regarding this same topic within places like Ferguson, Missouri, more research is
warranted for a closer look at race relations in these areas.
Education
This study examined the relationship between race and educational expectations
between parents and their children. Specifically, a longitudinal data set focused on
educational expectations among black (African), colored (mixed) and white
(European ancestry) parents and their children in Cape Town, South Africa.
Researchers found that there is a strong relationship between the educational
expectation among parents and children regardless of race, although the black parents
and children had higher expectations than the other races, once socioeconomic
factors were controlled for. Also, parents and children tend to agree more about the
expectations and have a stronger correlation to the white and colored races. They

Dynamic Characters In High Fidelity
Dynamic characters evolve because of a life changing event. This transformation
into a dynamic character did not occur until this year. Before senior year being
naive and ignorant was my forte. Similar to Rob in the film High Fidelity who did
not grow up until he realized that he is no longer the adolescent he once was and
